    I am a bunker tankerman (pic) in New Orleans. We use 30,000 barrel barges and tow boats to fuel ships with MGO, VLSFO, and RMG 380 (HFO)

    why is it important for the barge to review/acknowledge the logbook of the receiving vessel? How will this minimise possible quantity disputes?

    I have one question: is it possible to choose the vendor of fuel oil? Or is it the case that each port has only one fuel vendor per fuel type to choose from? Thank you.

    Thanks for nice detailing. Don't you think it's necessary to take a draft before commencement of bunkering to arrive at final quantity of oil/fuel that was supplied.

    • @marineinsight
      @marineinsight  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. As per the bunkering checklist which needs to be followed, the draft must b noted before and after the bunkering.

    So we prepare documents like notice of protest document before bunkering. Should we make the supplier to sign notice of protest document before bunkering? Even though there is no dispute yet. Any advise?

    Please tell safety fitting in the bunker line ??

    • @marineinsight
      @marineinsight  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Satish - There are no specific instruments in the bunker line. Periodical Pressure testing of the bunker line, error-free and active pressure and temperature gauges are the important safeties of the bunker pipeline.
