I also love how Hank's voice went up three octaves (9:09) when he got beat up the hill. The joy those two had was infectious.
As my Boys’ Dad and an ebike owner/operator I can not stress how much I enjoy biking with them and at 75 being able to keep up and yes on the odd occasion with the right elevation and distance being able to beat them. But I can always keep up.
Brought a tear to my eye thinking about the fun times with my dad. Hank, treasurer these times and store them up in your heart. Precious video and memories.

Maybe I've appreciated them because I've missed family and friends time during the pandemic, though most likely I've enjoyed them immensely because the folks are good sports and are having great fun themselves. I am 64 years old with very bad knees - and I live in Colorado in America. SO, I can legally ride the Canyon Grail:ON and am very near deciding to buy one as a replacement for my car on my daily commute. Said commute is about 10 miles on gravel washboard encompassing a 2000 ft climb (roughly 610 meters) before I encounter flatter terrain in town. I believe that Hank's dad has convinced me this is the bike for me! Of course, there is also an endless selection of longer (and steeper) rides to be had on both paved and gravel roads as well as Jeep trails that include technical bits more suited for MTBs. Thanks for the great video!

I think its all in the legs Keith. I am 70 and many far older leave me for dust. Use to think it was All about the bike but after gathering a collection of bikes I now realise that I am just useless cyclist 😉

Great video and I agree Hank's dad should be a regular presence on the show. But viewing the comments, I see some misunderstanding and maybe even aggression towards the Hank's dads of the world. And yes, I'm one of those dads. While my son was growing up, I was working my tail off, trying to support him and my family in having better conditions than what I had experienced growing up. I was working 80+ hours a week and traveling 600K miles a year to give him the designer jeans, better nutrition, better education and the tools to train in the sports he enjoyed. And I'd do it all over again if needed. Unfortunately that didn't leave me with a lot of time to enjoy biking like I had when I was younger and going to college. He turned out fine and has enjoyed biking and in particular mountain biking for many years. We are close and best of friends. I'm recently retired at 71, he's 50. He has his own family to support now and unfortunately doesn't get to train or ride as much as he would like either. Along came ebikes. Long story short, I purchased one. A Specialized Vado 4.0 LTD and I started riding again. And it's been a great addition for me. I've dropped 20# and greatly improved my fitness in the last 8 months. At the same time it's brought us together more and helped him ride more often again. We don't really compete with each other. I could run away from him at any time, we both know that. Sometimes we swap bikes and he can easily run away from me. But the point is that ebikes have brought us together more and everyone has benefited. We both love our bikes and biking. Just give the Hank's dads of the world a chance; they deserve that. And I try to not hinder the pros or exceed my abilities.
