This is an exploration of the gods of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting in D&D, based on official content and my own transformation of the world through the natural consequences of 25 years of cooperative storytelling.

My bard is a Harper and worshiper of Elistraee but she isn’t a drow or half drow but was raised by one
We ALL have that one Drow Character that worships Eilistraee. And that speaks to her amazing lore!

In our campaign my Eladrin embarked on a mission to invite Drow of Eilestraee's ways to emigrate to they Fey Wilde. He explained to them that the Fey Wild was their home by right. This was not an act of pity but of Justice. He explained the history of how the good Illatheeri>? were accidentally cast out with those who had committed terrrible acts. So far we have one High Cleric of Eilestraee there along with a number of others living in a modified Merdenkainens Mansion set to their liking. Their we are guiding them through the ways and customs of the Fey Wilde so that they don't have unintended situations due to a culture difference.

I really like the depth you go into with the deities. Eilistraee is one of my top 5 deities from Forgotten Realms. I unfortunately was reading the "Lady Penitent" book series when the brilliant minds at WOC, being completely out of touch with the hand that feeds them, decided to simplify the Forgotten Realms by culling off a bunch of deities. The Second Sundering helped to fix this cosmic stupidity. I guess it wasn't all bad. They brought back Leira and not as some dumb aspect of Cyric.
I often wonder about how Ed Greenwood felt about his working on WotC's Vatican 2.0 project.
The book series the "Lady Penitent" was actually good and engaging. Just the ending was right up there with the GOT season 8. Actually worse. The killed off Eilistraee in a manner that did not even closely resemble the Forgotten Realm basic foundations. An avatar can't kill a deity by killing its avatar. A deity has to be killed on its own plane of existence. Eilistraee showed this by killing her brother when he entered her plane of existence. Assuming she followed him to his plane. They didn't really explain this part. Sorry to nerd out. I am sure they pay and/or beg Ed Greenwood to not say a thing.@@ProfessorVykos
I'm playing bg3 right now with so crooked Eilistraeen character. I made male surface drow necromancer who is kind and helpful to others. Almost lawful good. A wanted to make something like "Astoshan the Grey Necromancer" but I don't have a bag of holding for the bodies of bad characters. And I don't have enough experience in playing d&d and this necro is my first walkthrough in bg3. I also read a lot of Drizzt Do'Urden books so I love "good drow" characters. Eilistraee sword dancer will be my next character.

isn't also Sehanine an allie of Eilistraee ? I have even see somewhere that Sehanine almost see her as an adoptive daughter wich make Eillistraee a bit ... uncomfortbale
or maybe you have modified some things for your own lore ?
There is so much Eilistraee lore I probably missed some of it. Like I had to cut the whole Masked Lady chapter of her history just to keep the video length down to 45 minutes.
But I did mention that she is generally polite and diplomatic with the rest of the Seldarine, and we can probably say uncomfortable-yet-cordial adoptive mother/daughter relationships falls under that category.
If Lolth was my Mum, I'd be uncomfortable with mother figures too.
