Gene is one of the most picky drummers ever and is so incredibly consistent. There's a reason he's known as the Atomic Clock.... but i do agree, he is underrated. and as far as his weight goes, i remember reading an interview of his once where he said back when he was drumming in Death he was down to like 250, and that his doctor says he's actually in excellent shape (heart and such) for his size... and his knees are fucked and that drumming actually makes them feel better...
The chords held by the keyboards at the beginning remind me of the Diablo II soundtrack for some reason. This is what we need, Diablo II metal. I'm inspired already.
Opeth and MEshuggah were pretty impressive live. But metal is great in clubs usually, not so much in theatres. Though SYL is pretty impressive considering it's hard enough to make out their riffs on record!
From what he's said on his forum regarding the subject, I'd say he's more like agnostic. He's not following any religion anyway, but maybe he believes in "something". Awesome live performance, this.
