thank you all for your comments, both positive and negative, but I wanted to reiterate here that these are just first impressions and not at all a full review, it takes much longer to get to know an aircraft completely but I think I was clear in the title and in the video ;) I'll do a full flight with the plane in a future video.
lvfr, the captain sim of airbus
Captain Sim makes far better looking aircraft actually, from what I've seen with the Hercules and KC-46

It's not a review! Just a first impression ;) Reviews take a lot more time and in depth look. But we are familiar with LVFR now so I'm pretty confident about this first impression.
Just a heads up on the A340-300: I flew it several times, the first time the same year Air France started operations with it, flying from Paris to Montreal. The last time from Vancouver to Frankfurt with Lufthansa.
Some notes on this plane: it NEVER takes off like a B777 nor like a B757. It ascends VERY slow on long distance flights. The angle of attack you were trying to rocket the plane to is not done on this plane. I wonder if you ever flew in one of them. Many younger flight simmers would not understand if they never flew in this Airbus.
Now, about the textures: they are certainly wanting. The cockpit colours are not dark enough… I’ve also been in the cockpit as well and these colours are too light. I believe they could make better textures and modelling in the interior.

My issue with LVFR is they keep promising massive updates to their existing airbus range and concentrating on their before releasing any new planes. Then release them anyway, They even said a few weeks ago that the A340 would not be coming out until much later in the year so that they could focus on A330 and A32X major updates to flight model and vnav etc. it’s a shame because I do think at least 😅 the A330 has or had a lot of promise to it with where it’s at and what has been promised by LVFR. Shame to see them breaking promises and instead releasing equally as unfinished planes!
Exactly and that's why I was quite disappointed in my last video on the a318 update and worried about this release and I think I was right.

Hello Kenobi, I’m just wondering if this is better than the a330 by lvfr, I really want a long haul plane in the flight sim
I’m gonna get it in a few months, that way they can work things out with it a little. It’s what I do with every plane, so I don’t have to be part of the immediate release bugs.

@@CaptainKenobi It really is! Because then when I get it, I can just start to enjoy it right away! I don’t have to complain about these little bugs that will always be around when things first release. But you being a content creator, and much other people too, I would understand completely why you’d want to get it right away. As a small, very small content creator myself, I would understand, you just would want best, to the interest of the viewers.
No other MSFS supplier will release the A343, so it's better than nothing

Thank you for this feedback! It is important to share this details. Today there are to much payware addon with bad quality (for example airbus series from latinvfr or A380 from Bredok3D). They only design the exterior and make some liveries, the cockpit and fonctionnalities are not fully developed, it is not expensive for them and after these mod are sold between 20 to 30€.
Only a380 from Bredok3d? Tell me only one good aircraft made by Bredok3d

Hoping for a mod that will improve the plane since it's the only A340-300 we will see for msfs
@6:20 There’s no way an A340-300 will climb like that, especially if it’s heavy going to Paris from Los Angeles..

@@Kiyodio it did the flight display showed 2800fts per minute
@@NoahFLY it was erroneous. The pitch was 0, must be a disconnect between the autopilot vnav and the flight controls somehow. As far as I can see the aircraft was not physically climbing.
I think 2800 fpm on toga is actually very low climb rate
I agree. I've made this flight a few times in real and the aircraft barely reach the top of maintenance hangars
The steering on this A340 need to be fix,and I think the climbing speed is little bit higher than normal,looks like the trim or horizontal stabilizer was forcing the nose down , In some occasions the horizontal stabilizer looks weird and I was able to change the Kg to Lbs in the tablet or flypat but in the MCDU or ECAM always show in Kg
It's an aircraft i'v been looking forward to but after seeing this review it needs to be improved.

Wow, but as you said, no surprise.
I have enjoyed their scenery for years but their aircraft just escape as early betas, never to be finished. The cost is an issue where you consider what else is available at the price but at least it's an interesting subject. Not as interesting as a Caravelle, Comet, Convair...if only..
I just got a 4060 after having a 3050, I am having so much fun in the a340 LVFR hits the perfect balance between realism and flight sim preformance is actually playable

@@CaptainKenobi fun is an understatement, I went from 20fps to around 60. easily runnable plane plus new gpu makes a big difference
FD Flight Director button please !!! push on ...on the PFD must have a cross with the PA
2:07 Thinks that’s just the plane trying to follow Alt Constraints? But it’s 4,000ft above the constraint. You sorta just gotta expect when something is using the default A320 code, the Vnav gonna be trash
That exactly what it is the AP thinks it’s flying an a320 that can easily climb 3000+/min a340 cannot. This was fixed in the a330 but didn’t carry over🤦🏽♂️
Good video… glad you posted it. I’m not impressed with i this at all. It’s not bad but graphics aren’t great. Not to mention its the 300 which nobody wants anymore

I’m pretty sure what LVFR think is high quality differs immensely from what actually is high quality. They talked the A330 & A340 up to the point that you’d think it was going to be to the standard of FBW and/or Headwind Sim’s aircraft (I don’t think anyone expected Fenix or PMDG levels), and then release this unfinished cartoony garbage.
Definitely won’t be adding this to my hangar anytime soon! I have their A318/A319/A21n but only for the Horizon Mods, and once Fenix releases their A319 & A321 I will be saying goodbye to LVFR aircraft for good.
Maybe FBW will work on an A340 after the release of their upcoming A380? We can only hope haha.

You wonder why people keeping calling MSFS a game. These planes are made for Xbox and Xbox is a gaming console. The fact that we got more planes designed to cater to the Xbox crew says it all.
Great video, I just saw it was released on the marketplace for 29.49euro. I think it's insane at this stage that such details are overlooked especially on the cosmetic exterior/interior.. I don't understand how they can charge so much and not fix things that I believe most people would be upset by. I was looking forward to this plane but I can't look past the exterior issues.. they need to regulate the marketplace and put fair pricing for mediocre things.
I will buy it because I am from Argentina and I want the Aerolíneas Argentinas Livery!! ✈💙

yeah im not surprised either, lvfr really needs to up there game, this is unacceptable. and the climb thing, that happens on the a330 too, so you didnt mess up, lvfr did, its really annoying
Just did another flight and I tried to set the vertical speed a bit higher... Omg, the plane became a yo-yo... This is bad after all the a32x, a330 and now this one, how can you not improve...

At least they give you a lot of livery’s.and they have a cabin but if your looking for deep systems maybe get another plane
It keeps crashing on me. And no matter how I configure the aircraft, it flies unbalanced. I’ve done my fuel and weight calculations over and over. I flew it for awhile yesterday but today it’s impossible to fly because it keeps crashing on me.

I bought it this afternoon and have done a few flights. I absolutely love it, the engine sounds are glorious. The auto pilot and ILS work flawlessly. I’m so glad I bought it, it’s a great deal for 30 bucks.
Not really tbh. It’s okay for its price at most
The sounds are awful compared to the real plane or the Fenix A320

is it just me but every time i try to land this aircraft right at the 30ft callout the plane just drops and slams down on the rwy every time
I landed it with no problem, very smooth actually 🤷

Hopefully they fix it with update

"Not everything has to be study level" - is not an excuse to be bad. Don't expect praises or 8/10 score if you don't bring up anything beyond just the value.
Since FS2000 - it has been the excuse for simply bad FDE (Flight Dynamics), planes flying like powered by rocket engine or Cessna control sensitivity. At least freewares like POSKY or Project Airbus tries to give believeable representation despite their limitation as freeware group.
I was a casual simmer back then, and completely understand the appeal of high quality payware "model and basic functionalities only"
Payware means high quality models - which is clearly lacking there. I expect eye candies. Also, that's Boeing cabin style overhead compartment. I mean seriously? Nobody in LVFR is old enough to fly LAN's or Aerolineas Argentina's A340 back then?
Texturing are also pretty lacking. Seriously, kids these days don't understand that they are getting short-handed.
Back then Captain Sim offers a top of the line modelling, eye candies, and ultra detailed textures. So, there is no defense for the likes of Bredok3D to release something like what they did that's a very inaccurate and low quality 737MAX model not even fitting for GTA mod.
LVFR just barely miss the bottom mark here. For 1/4 of PMDG pricing, it doesn't even look and feel like 1/5 of the effort. You don't need real pilots testing your planes here, just try to fly and make sense of it. Compare that to ToLiss A340-600 in X-Plane... that's just easy. No need for 1:1 flight dynamics fidelity. There is no need for failures or ultra nerdy fuseboxes - just make it "VATSIM-able" as a decent online traffic that gave its human users some engagement, that's it. ASOBO's AAU update should be the standard - even that doesn't have good controls.

Don’t support this, you need to pay for a free mod to make lvfr airbuses good. At that point what have you payed for a model? It’s disgusting behaviour it’s completely a money grab to get as many planes out as possible.
Unfortunately, for those like me, who play on xbox it’s our only option…
Ofc I don’t like having to pay for every single different plane I wanna play with. But if I don’t, I’m stuck with the a310, a320n and 747-8 that comes standard in the game
@@tavikinhothe B748 and the new Ini A20N are miles better than this crap mate. PMDG 737 family exists aswell. Many more options other than this piece of shit

The Horizon mod is not coming for this addon. They have cut ties with LVFR.
I just cant do it. We have much better aircraft available, and more on the way. Not a fan of the a340 anyway, so I can do without
