I've been with the GLC 2017 since and had tried the 2020 also, it's the same. Suspension is the worst part on this car, it feels like a groceries cart whenever you drive on the slightest bad road (almost the same in the 2020) Transmission and throttle combo: is indeed super jerky when doing stop and go in either traffic jams or making quick stops.Just those 2 things are to the point that it's embarrassing to me whenever I have guests on board "my Mercedes" so I must be be extra careful about my driving to avoid those situations as much. Throttle is artificially slowed in an exaggerate way in comfort mode and very frustrating to me, I find it dangerous at times when you need to insert yourself in traffic from an intersection! this means you will never get the power you want when you need unless you almost floor the gas paddle and takes at least a good 2 secs. The sport mode is way better for that and I would keep it on at all times but 2 problems; 1) the RPM will raise by 1/2x1000more as long as sport mode is on 2) Even if you don't care about gas and pollution in sport you must enable back at every start of the engine. Sound system before 2020 is super bad! no bass, muffled sound no matter how you try to adjust it sound like ass, such insult at this price point, Kia as a way better sound system in my friend's sorento by far. I would definitely say your video is very helpful, but you complain a lot because no disrespect but your car is a very base model car. If you really want to complain less, you should either consider a more expensive one or a GLE. I do agree that BMW is a more smoother car but the new GLC is much faster than the X3.
My A220 gets jerky I know exactly what you’re talking about it’s get freaking annoying it feels like I’m driving an old ass car that’s gonna break down. Doesn’t always happen it mostly happens when accelerating, coming to a stop (not often) and it’s almost not possible to be in traffic and flow with it. U either go or stay stopped. If ur slowly going it’ll jerk. Don’t get me wrong tho it does not always happens but it will occasionally. Not enough to not look into one.
I’ve owned a 2017 350d amg glc premium plus with 36000 miles since nov 2021, I have to say the only thing it’s got going for it is the looks especially in grey. unfortunately the drivers seat is delaminating from the threads needless to say they are made of VINYL and the dealers don’t want to know, the consumption isn’t much good either, the car is dealer maintained, I couldn’t find the car which I originally wanted in the spec I wanted which was a first generation SQ5 plus the range of which is 600+ whilst the glc is just over 400 (same size tanks) this is my first MB and certainly my last definately going back to Audi they seem to be more robust. I believe the Mercedes’ are far too sensitive.

A channel I'd like to recommend is Super Car Tube (SCT), it's a European channel & today they featured the 2020 GLC 200d "Sports Edition" at the 2020 Brussels Car Show. A spectacular looking vehicle & I wonder if that diesel engine would be offered here in the States & if it would have the same transmission issues as the turbo. BTW, I viewed KellyBook YT channel & during their review of the new Audi A3 they were also complaining about the half a second delay in the turbo boost. The reviewer commented that it was dangerous if a truck was coming & you needed to get out of harms way in a hurry! That's why I generally prefer a V6 over a turbo & don't know why over the last ten yrs or so the trend seems to be nothing but turbos, maybe there better on gas mileage because they use a smaller engine, I don't know. But in terms of design Mercedes has nailed the GLC & GLE that's for sure!
You mention "keyless entry". All cars with a fob are keyless entry. I think you are referring to "proximity" where the car recognizes your presence and unlocks or locks the car.
Why do Mercedes sold in America look cheaper than the ones sold in Europe? I wonder if it’s those orange-coloured side markers within the headlight bezels that cheapen the entire appearance of the car.
Coming from owning 4 or 5 Audi's and buying a 2019 GLC MB I was disappointed with UI and and cheapness on it. The carplay is missing features, the base audio system is a joke, many of the other owners joke how bad it is and the whole UI interface via the screen and wheel interaction is just weak. It's like something they had laying around and slapped it into the SUV thinking it's MB they will deal with it. I mean almost 50k SUV with sound worse than a 2015 Prius.... LED headlights are extra? the list goes on, the biggest joke is the rear cargo door foot opening feature doesn't work. I even asked the dealer but they couldn't get it to open, so I asked it to be looked at when they were doing a warranty item repair and they forgot to check ... So If your going to buy a MB, look at the Audi and BMW and compare the inside and operation of the head unit and stuff.... '
Hey Rob, This ti the 1st video review of yours that I've seen. Very informative, good use of the English language especially the numerous adjectives and you kept me engaged. I'd luv to see a comparison video of the 20 AMG 63S vs a 19 AMG 63S. All the Very BEST from #Vancouver Canada:-)
What a hero. Of course the Hey Mercedes future is meant to be activated only if you say only the two words. You say it in a sentence, it shouldn’t go off. BTW, the new iPhones come with USB C cables and I would say, if you can afford this car, you could get a charging cable that fits the car and there are cables out there where both ends are USB C, so get your sh-it together. The sport future is meant to be more rough, just as it is with manual transmission, but ok, how you should figure out, right? And yeah, you switching to sport mode when driving in a parking lot and wondering it steers a bit heavier, and then in the next sentence you telling the people that the heavy steering applies only with higher speeds? A complete saying against each other, or do you race in the parking lot? BTW, the shift paddles reacting all the time the same way, but you should at some point be able to figure out that you need to apply the same pressure on them when you expecting the same result. But ok, Americans who driving with sun glasses on in shady weather conditions are most likely just noisy, producing just hot air, without any content and you are their role model. What a clown.
Keyless go is standard on C300 coupes and sedans according to MB USA. Truly silly that there is not standard USB port but this is a quick cheap fix for double USB C or adapter. So "hate" is a bit strong. Hey Mercedes should learn your voice...eh?
Why would anybody switch to sport plus at a parking lot? It is a nonsense. Why people complain about heavy / hard steering when they intentionally switch to sport mode? And again the sport mode is for fast driving not for e.g. 15 mph, the gear box becomes jerky because that's the way sport mode gives you feedback. You buy a fish and you are disappointed that it cannot fly in the air or climb a mountain.
So spend $10 and buy a USB-C cable, that’s no big deal.
I spent ten dollars and bought two USB C cables

I would definitely say your video is very helpful, but you complain a lot because no disrespect but your car is a very base model car. If you really want to complain less, you should either consider a more expensive one or a GLE. I do agree that BMW is a more smoother car but the new GLC is much faster than the X3.
Apple sells USB-C to lightning cable
My A220 gets jerky I know exactly what you’re talking about it’s get freaking annoying it feels like I’m driving an old ass car that’s gonna break down. Doesn’t always happen it mostly happens when accelerating, coming to a stop (not often) and it’s almost not possible to be in traffic and flow with it. U either go or stay stopped. If ur slowly going it’ll jerk. Don’t get me wrong tho it does not always happens but it will occasionally. Not enough to not look into one.
2:04 Did this guy just say, "Ennoying" LMAO!!!
my honda civic has keyless entry haha
Your car is not a safety...the thief will easy rob your car..🤣
I know how to rob your honda civic....
I believe the Mercedes’ are far too sensitive.
omg I have 5 my payments left on my nissan rouge. I was looking at the infiniti qx50 2021. for a luxury car kinda of boring. I went to the mercedes of smithtown I saw the 2021 glc 300 4matic in lunar blue metallic. interior is silk beige. my mouth dropped to the floor omg I want that one . so I pickup a Thursday.
@Dante Monte the mercedes benz seats are so much comfortable then the zero gravity seat. I hated the seat in the nissan no back support. my lower back and legs hurt driving only 30 minutes, with Nissan rouge. on my mercedes benz I don't have take my hands off the wheels. hey mercedes iam cold. raise the temperature and lowers the temperaturem.
Have any of you had problems with he Android auto connection not working?
But in terms of design Mercedes has nailed the GLC & GLE that's for sure!
decent review, but you have to drive the car and not let it drive you
You can change your own Word in the Menu. Change "Hey Mercedes " in hey Benz.... or something else.
No jack and spare tire only as an option
I test drove the 2024 model. Notjerky at all. It's keyless now.
Test drove the x3 and glc 300 ! Bmw way ahead ! Work to do mercedes
just bought the X3, loving it.
But that antiquated BMW interior.... boring and anticlimactic.
I test drove both of those too and chose the glc. No comparison in my mind. The glc is quieter, elegant and smoother by far. To each his own.
Sport mode in a 4-cylinder/4200 lb SUV would be disappointing, the AMG 43/63 takes care of the driving factor.
My GLC300 non 4matic weighs roughly 3800lbs but of course the 4matic and bigger engines will weigh it down a little more.
They DO make a USB to USB-C adapter which is super easy to use
I dislike the ,don't forget your key, every time you enter and exit the car,
Doug Boczulak: And my wife still forgets her key! Unbelievable
Switch the engine off.....😂
idc for keyless entry anyway
You mention "keyless entry". All cars with a fob are keyless entry. I think you are referring to "proximity" where the car recognizes your presence and unlocks or locks the car.
Why do Mercedes sold in America look cheaper than the ones sold in Europe? I wonder if it’s those orange-coloured side markers within the headlight bezels that cheapen the entire appearance of the car.
Drive it without the parking brake on should fix the lag. 🤦🏽♂️
Hello from the future - the world is moving to USB-C tech, so should you grandpa.
It’s because USB-C has a significantly faster transfer rate and is more efficient.
But it is not there yet, why not have both?
The 2020 is a significant upgrade over the 2019 if you’re talking UI wise
Maybe the Hey Mercedes feature didn't work because you were driving by the Audi Dealer? :)
Hey Rob,
This ti the 1st video review of yours that I've seen. Very informative, good use of the English language especially the numerous adjectives and you kept me engaged.
I'd luv to see a comparison video of the 20 AMG 63S vs a 19 AMG 63S.
All the Very BEST from #Vancouver Canada:-)
Keyless entry is just stupid because it is much easier for car thieves to steal your car. I am very glad I don't have keyless entry.
Lag is a big thing for me
Imagine buying a 50k car and not having 10 quid to buy a USB C cable
The dash ain't digi?
you need technology package
If you can afford this car you should have a couple of bucks left for some usb-c cables 😂
Try to say Hey Mercedes but with British English accent. It works perfectly every time. 😎
No key less entry??
Turn off “hey Mercedes” in the settings. Problem solved. Who uses voice activation anyway except for Hey Siri. Geez.
keyless entry = easyer to rob
Sport means.....
GLC 300 2.0L 2021 🇧🇷😎😍🥰👏👏👏👏👏👏
That’s silly why don’t you say Merc!
Love from the UK
Who has 50k for a car but doesn't have 5-10€/$/£ for cable/adapter???
Hey Mercedes!
"Hey Mercedes, it's been a while, jump in my hoopty, hoopty hoop, and i'll run you home.
Just buy an adapter to get round the usb c problem and stop moaning.
You forgot the fact that Android Auto and Apple Carplay isn't full screen! Absolutely most disappointing. The house music is annoying af too.
