I own a GLC 300 (non AMG). Just a side note to your review (which was excellent and on par), the fuel economy numbers seem to be under reported by Mercedes. Mine is a 4Matic transmission, and I’ll easily get 32 MPG+ (even as high as 35) on the highway. Town driving is closer to what they report on the sticker, but I also like to accelerate hard.
I love my 2021 GLC. I was torn between this and the GV80 but when i saw the AMG line, i had to have it.....it really makes the difference. Such a classy ride
Burmester upgrade is a must, sounds great. We had a 2019 GLC but hated the piano black inside, scratched really easy. We also found the paint chipped easy. Overall a very nice vehicle
This design is aging gracefully, and still one of the best cabins in the class. It will be interesting to see how it fares against the GV70 when it hits the streets.
At least locally the Genesis dealer is pretty darn proletariat. The Mercedes dealership is first class. For a $60,000 plus vehicle you deserve waiting room chairs to not have holes in the vinyl and a dirty linoleum floor. The Genesis is a LOT bigger than the GLC 300 and the big logo on the steering wheel screams Chrysler to me. My visit to the Genesis dealer left quite a first impression on all fronts. I must say the young sales girl was pleasant although she didn’t know squat about the Genesis.
@@jhwk1970 I don’t care for the chairs at the dealer. I’m getting so much more from Genesis GV70 than I would get from overprices and underpowered GLC for so much higher price tag
Beautiful car! My only gripes is the missing wireless phone charger and missing rear usb ports, which should be standard for all trims considering the price.

I test drove a 2021 GLC 300 I really like the drive, but when we got on the freeway, the cabin noise was really loud. Any comments on this? I read where the new 2023 GLC will have acoustic foam to make the cabin more quiet. Thanks.😊
Unpopular opinion but this should have a NA V6 instead of a turbo 4. Feels much more luxurious and if you can afford this you can afford a bit of extra fuel.

My next suv, I didn’t pay much attention to it and got the glb which I also like. This suv can cost you up to 80k if you don’t watch your add-ons when building. I like the AMG look without the AMG engine.
I bought a 2020 GLB, but now that the GLC has had a refresh, i’m considering trading the GLB in for a new one. I just don’t use the 3rd row seating, and am not convinced I need the extra cargo room. I think the GLB just feels a little less luxurious, too, and is kinda loud and not the smoothest ride compared to other Benz i’ve owned/driven. How do you like your GLB?
@@efinch3175 Absolutely loving it. It felt a bit sluggish initially, but after breaking it in at about 3.5k miles or so, the ride has really smoothed out and the engine just rocks on!
Want to get this as my first suv. Doing research about GLC300 and the GLE350 Really love the size as the 300 but the interior and led looks so fancy on 350. Struggling.just hope that this GLC300 mode will have a white color interior and led lights
I have no regrets about buying a 2021 GLC 300 4matic. My complaints are few and all very minor. I can see myself buying another Mercedes-Benz in the future.
How do the safety features on a GLC and a GLE compare? If I add all the safety packages to both cars are they pretty much the same in terms of safety? Would the GLE be a better choice because it is larger and likely to perform better in a crash?
I chose the Glb250 night package but this will be my next buy. The only thing I don’t like is the sound system, I ordered the Burmester which is an upgrade and don’t see any difference, they should give the Bose as an option. I enjoy driving it, a great improvement from my ML500 of yesteryears.
Traded my MB SLK sports car for a brand new 2022 GLC 300 AMG package Polar white with Cranberry red interior.. it is still coming within next week I am so excited already.. We first looked at the Lincoln Aviator but was not very impressed so opted to go back to Mercedes and glad we picked this I will surely love my brand new MB GLC 300. Thank GOD for my new MB, in JESUS’ name, amen! Feeling so blessed, thanks too to my loving generous hubby! He wanted to replace my little MB SLK for this bigger and more safe and comfortable car. Praise GOD!!! Loved my SLK but its just small and not so comfy for a longer ride.
I'll save close to $15k and take a CX-5 Signature with its Nappa leather, same heated steering wheel, cooled front seats, and heated rear seats.......Nice crossover though.
@2:04 The chrome window trimming butt joint where it met the bottom trimming has a gap! what a shame, Merc can't do a gapless trim joint for the AMG? OMG!
We just got this for my wife yesterday we trade our 2018 traverse since our truck was only 10k to get paid off & they appraised at $23 k carmax they give us $24k for it & we end up getting this lil Benz 😁 we check out the x4 bmw but my wife like this one here 🤷♂️

I suppose the relatively low pricing for the Merc “brand cache” and the ability to price undercut a Porsche Macan, Jaguar F Pace, and Land Rover Discovery plays to its strength. Never thought we’d see the day Mercedes becomes another “Value Luxury brand”. Pray reliability is good 🙏😔
It is very popular with younger professionals and extremely rich teens in my area. Most of them are not car/driving enthusiasts and want the 3 pointed star.
I have mine 2018 for almost 2 years and it doesn’t look like the first day I bought it I was lucky to find a Amg wheels oem for a good price!! A upgrade grille amg as well, chrome delete for a night edition look, black out badges and amg gold caliper paint for a total complete more out of the ordinary look, it gets service at the dealer and I can’t complain about this vehicle, and seriously the power of this GLC is amazing I love mine y’all the complaint about it should buy a Maybach cause I really don’t don’t what’s the whole deal? The Japanese don’t have a real challenge for this model, and maybe next time y’all buy one make sure y’all check where was made believe it or not it makes a big big big difference!! Anything made in Germany is better quality and I agree with one thing…. Anything made by the UAW has very poor quality in general!!
I've been with the GLC 2017 since and had tried the 2020 also, it's the same. Suspension is the worst part on this car, it feels like a groceries cart whenever you drive on the slightest bad road (almost the same in the 2020) Transmission and throttle combo: is indeed super jerky when doing stop and go in either traffic jams or making quick stops.Just those 2 things are to the point that it's embarrassing to me whenever I have guests on board "my Mercedes" so I must be be extra careful about my driving to avoid those situations as much. Throttle is artificially slowed in an exaggerate way in comfort mode and very frustrating to me, I find it dangerous at times when you need to insert yourself in traffic from an intersection! this means you will never get the power you want when you need unless you almost floor the gas paddle and takes at least a good 2 secs. The sport mode is way better for that and I would keep it on at all times but 2 problems; 1) the RPM will raise by 1/2x1000more as long as sport mode is on 2) Even if you don't care about gas and pollution in sport you must enable back at every start of the engine. Sound system before 2020 is super bad! no bass, muffled sound no matter how you try to adjust it sound like ass, such insult at this price point, Kia as a way better sound system in my friend's sorento by far. Air suspension already leaking from visit to chalet, and no I have not used the car in any abusive way!! More very annoying things: after a while the center console cracks during driving as well as my driver's side door plastics. They did fixed it at the dealer by tightening the screws but it only lasted for a month! Then you also get the air-vent traps adjusting airflow inside the vents that started making noise every 20 seconds or so. For the 2020 I would also like to point out that they could have refreshed the outdated front grill design. I would also say that the paint is of a poor quality, not durable. the inner lower door steps will get rusty quickly. My recommandation: Don't buy! There are way better built and durable vehicles out there that will give you much better value for your $$ especially if you don't lease. And between the 2, as I also know BMWs, I believe the X3 is a much better car and experience all around.

I have a 2020 glc amg lined with saddle brown leather. The adaptive headlights, wheels, and trim are outstanding. But it looks like this 2021. What would you say is the major difference between the two?
I love my 2021 AMG, my interior is back with saddle trim, in the color desert Mojave . It’s such a beautiful car and the ride is so smooth. Nicest car I have owned so far. ☺️

This is a pre-facelift. The new C-Class was revealed few days ago and pretty soon it will have a refreshed interior for the GLC as well.

100%! It’s the reason i prefer my old GLK (and new GLB, which is very close to this, but a touch bigger). A V6 should at least be an option.
I didn't think storage space mattered until I bought an Audi A5. My floor is littered with stuff now that should be stored.

GLB looks better. But if it is the GLC AMG it looks better.
I prefer GLC over glb because of its sleeker style I’d only get glb because of the 3 row seats
GLB has odd proportions IMO, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
The AMG GLC 43 is the sweet spot in the line.

Thanks for sharing. That is exactly the same issue with suspension and throttle response I'm having with my GLA. Was going to test drive the GLC this Sunday hoping it is an improvement but I might think twice now.
