Hello! My first premium rental in almost 18 months! Let me know what you think. If you'd like more info, check out my full WRITTEN review here: 100rentalcars.co/2020-mercedes-benz-glc-300/. Thanks!
I have 2019 GLC 300 and I think your review was spot on. The 2019 has less controls on the steering wheel which is cool. Your liking of the car was evident, as is mine. Quiet and elegant is my summary.
My second Mercedes. My first was a 2006 C320 4dr sedan that unfortunately get t-boned by someone running a stop sign. I waited a couple of years looking at different crossover SUV's and came to the conclusion that the 2020 GLC 300 was the one I wanted. I went online and it just was luck that someone had just turned in their lease which was a 4 Matic with 20,000 miles on it. I went to the dealership and they showed me the car. After a test drive, I knew this was it. I bought it that same day.
Watched a few reviews on this car as well as having had 38 years in the motor trade sales field and think you have done the best job reviewing a vehicle. Sold me
Traded in my X3 for the GLC, and I am very happy. There are a few things that I miss from the X3, like the wireless Apple CarPlay that uses full screen, and a basic compass to at least know the direction you’re going, and the ability to show multiple apps on the display. But still, the driving experience on the GLS is so much better that I don’t mind losing some features.
If you own a Mercedes, you will find it is very easy to learn how and to use all those buttons. They all are a convenience depending on circumstances. Are they all necessary no, but they become second nature very quickly.
@100 Rental Cars You said it takes regular gas but on 1:36 the fuel door clearly says minimum octane of 91. It depends on the States but isn't regular normally 87? Here in California 91 is premium not regular.
@Kurtis Magnuson putting 87 once every now and then won't affect the car as severely as rental vehicles which I assume it will live off from 87 yet gets driven harsh then sold when the warranty is about to expire. Yes putting 87 won't shut the car off or make it undrivable but what's the point of owners manual telling to put 91 if you're not going to listen lol I personally think it's ridiculous people buy "luxury" cars but don't want to pay extra for 91 or higher. It's like yes humans can live with high blood pressure and diabetes, but doctors say don't risk your health. Same goes to cars haha
Thank you for this tutorial. I am going to save it to my favorites for review until I am totally comfortable/familiar with all of these buttons. At 75 years old, that may take a few tries😊 Your 4 star rating reason was spot on!
Great Review. Very mindful. I just bought one; I learned a lot from your review. Although, I was expecting more about the speakers and the sound of the media?
Thanks for keeping me interested for 20 minutes. Exploring an upscale vehicle is a bit of a treasure hunt. Too many buttons can be said for the socks as well. If they're not MB complimentary socks, then they're the ongoing product of the Enterprise franchise where you rent these vehicles. I haven't seen one of your rental reviews yet where you have an adequately cleaned vehicle. Maybe you should start showing that aspect to the #1 manager; the prep crew needs a review on expectations. The trash and leftover socks from previous renters , I would guess isn't part of the prep process. Inspection before being available to rent needs to be put back as part of the process.
Honestly good luck trying to get a clean clean. It all depends on the previous renters. As someone who used to work for Enterprise it’s harder to clean rental cars then you think. Most of the time people are waiting on the car and they don’t really care how clean it is
Adoro i pulsanti fisici. Permettono di non distrarti alla guida per guardare il display. Basta solo farci l'abitudine per qualche giorno e poi, ad occhi chiusi, si cambiano le impostazioni.
This is a real great regurgitation of what every other video shows. I guess that’s what happens with rental. But at least get the information right it does not take 87 octane.
Nice review of this small Merc SUV! For me, I think you made great use of your points to get into this one - certainly not something you'd do everyday but, hey, sometimes ya gotta have fun! Thanks for the vid! :)
100 Rental Cars ... Thx. I’m starting to regret my X3 purchase. It has a nice ride, but it has occasional rattling/vibration noise on road imperfections.
@@Robo-lf3xq You get used to it very quickly and believe me it's brilliantly easy to use when you do. Finger tip control and so much easier than the normal lever.
@Kurtis Magnuson my 2004 Silverado has one but it's only ever been used as a power port. Only has a 15amp fuse on it though while the actual power port has a 20 amp. Not sure why. Personally I have no use for one other than for power. Never smoked before. My grandmother smoked and as a kid I saw how bad the emphysema was. That was enough to keep me away from the mess when I got older. That and my dad would have beat my ass had I ever started

I like this cigarette lighter. There are still some countries where smokers are not imprisoned. But which car rental company hands over an obviously unkempt car to its customers? Dirty old Socks? That's what i call disgusting.

Another intuitive and relaxing listening video. Keep up the good work 👍🏆

I think the moveable part of the front seat is the thigh extension
Really a good review, better than most I've watched for this identical vehicle. Thanks and well done!

Read the gas tank cover with the writing on my mother's c300 its says 91 octain
Sirr-Kenneth T.V. Good catch there Sirr. Hardly any high line cars use regular gas.

Where is spare tires?Thanks
Regular unleaded? I thought you were only supposed to put 91 orante rated fuel?
Can you do some uhaul truck rentals? Like the pickup?
That's a good looking vehicle!!! Lucky you!!! :)

Would like remote start
Agreed, especially for this much money.
😍😍😍😍😍😍 I will get this car
How’s the build quality when driving? Any rattling or vibration noise over road imperfections?
It was amazing. No rattling at all. Best I've driven in quite some time.

Why put the gear selector where everyone else puts the wiper controls? Just based on that, I would never even rent this car.
Yeah, I don't know if I could get used to that

Sorry Pedro, you couldn't afford to rent this car. Unfortunately they don't make Pintos or Vegas anymore, which is more your style.
Very easy to get use to. If you’re old enough it’s what was in most cars years ago on steering column.
Haha, your reaction at realizing that was a cigarette lighter was priceless. I on km y wish I could have seen you face when you found it

I have this same model and year. Mine does not have a lighter but a plug that covers the power supply. Maybe this had the smokers package
Cigarette lighter? I’m buyin’ it...
I love you from Algeria
Why is there no front seat ventilation? Booo!

$120 a day?! You can lease it and pay like $350 a month
These don’t go for $350 a month. They are at least $575 a month and these rent for less then $120 a day
@Ernie H That’s why you buy certified pre owned and keep the car for another four years and get rid of it...
In reality, it's a luxury piece of shit. I wouldn't touch this with a 10 foot pole
Even if I had the money to buy this Mercedes I wouldn’t drive it, give me an immaculate 70s/80s Toyota Hilux any day!
