Caviar (or close equivalent) is also dirt cheap in Finland. We call it mätitahna which directly translates as "roe-paste". The only difference between any fish roe and specifically caviar is the structure of the roe. Caviar is much more fragile than regular roe thus you don't need to break it with teeth. The taste is the same so your choice up here is to choose the hyper expensive product going off to USA or the cheap product with the same taste that's already turned into a paste so you don't need to bite it anyway.
the game says somewhere that the cars in the front are more likely to take damage when things happen, so yes using the spare unupgraded infantry car as a ram is a good idea lol
You know, during the actual Russian Civil War it was common for armored trains to run with a flatcar in front of the engine. The idea was that if there were mines on the track ahead, the flatcar would be heavy enough to set them off, but not so heavy as to damage the rest of the train with its debris. Wonder if that will become a mechanic later in the game.
I just finished this game and NO SPOILERS, here are some tips that aren't explained: - You need the best locomotive and 4 crew wagons (fully upgrading 3 isnt enough) in order to save all soldiers (so pick the big one if that's the case) - Focusing on train roles before multiple combat roles is good (although just having off-role as rank 1 medic or grenadier so use medkits or nades can be good) - Don't send your hunter / herbalist / burgler / housekeeper on missions if possible, keep them for scavenging - Timberland is only wood so send the worst guys always
To mention, you can also find items on missions so sending a burglar, house keeper or herbalists can earn you items. I found 20 ciggarettes in a tree once thanks to an 'eagle eyed' soldier.
11:28 So cool thing, I had that event and I had a person who was paranoid that it was the Red Army that did it, and I didn't have anyone get hurt cause they found a grenade and disarmed a trap!
This game has a lot of game breaking bugs. You units will leave your train randomly at every chapter end (Starts at chapter 2) and in combat units can Tpose and not fire or get into cover until the end of the mission (Reloading or restarting the mission does not fix the Tpose)
I have definitely experienced the bug with people randomly leaving my train. At the end of chapter 3 I had my highest level grenadier leave. I reloaded at least half a dozen times, made sure his health stamina and morale were all topped off. I haven’t experienced the t-pose though
I wonder if someone has already tried doing the game without upgrading the train. Is it actually possible or do you need to have insulated cars by the time you hit Siberia?
There's an achievement for reaching the port without upgrading your train engine but I don't think you'd make it through the - 4 weather section without at least insulation or stove. When your soldiers are too cold, they don't recover health and stamina, soon get sick and eventually die.
What??This is the history..and im from Czech rep..and I love the history..but this is the true story..and this you cant change :) i know what do you mean..that war now.(UA vs Russia).but this is true story 100years old,and this you cant change :) and game is awesome :) Im playing it now :)
I wouldn't call it anti-russian. You fight alongside and against Russians, you meet and help people from the Greens and whites. Even from the Reds if you are willing to help them. Your soldiers all have their own values and beliefs, some are monarchists, others are communists or nationalists and they lose or gain moral based on your choices in regards to who you help. These also affect events. In one event your soldiers stumble upon a group of young Red soldiers swimming in a river. If you have a soldier with the Entertainer trait in the squad, he will grab the Red's clothes and throw them into the river after them. Your soldiers will have a laugh with the young Reds who were caught so compromised before helping them dry their clothes and parting ways. This raises the moral of soldier who are communists. Alternatively If you have a soldier with the "vengeance" or "aggressive" trait in the squad, your soldier will open fire as soon as you stumble upon the swimming soldiers to the horror and dismay of any communists in your squad. The game reminds you that your soldiers and even the Reds are human. Some victories in game are so bloody your soldiers become disheartened by the whole endevour, war is hell, wining or losing. Ultimately you as the commander determines the moral behavior of your legionnaires. You're not railroaded (ha) to be a heroic and helpful. You can be if you like but you can also ignore pleas for help.

You can always move the infantry car #3 to the front of the train and use it as a battering ram, basically.

@@ham_the_spam4423 It says it any time you look at the train reorganization selection in a station.

A desperate journey, a long ride, a harrowing tale, a beautiful game. Thank you for continuing to play this amazing game.

I love how you can just stop your train indefinitely on a track presumably other trains have to use, not allowing them to go 😂
Well, they are soldiers with guns

It would have been very cool if the wolves could’ve been used against the Reds !
I like how he says he found a machine gun when his previus position also hada machinegun(which he surrounded with troops)

Do more people have these issues?
@@CobisTaba Yes, a lot of people are reporting those bugs. The devs already confimed those bugs and are trying to fix.

The game mechanics on this game reminds me a lot of the old "Partisans" game.
Im sure at some point you will be able to get different Train cars. Maybe at certain Stops or Stations.
Really enjoying this series, thank you Pravus :)
So good to see someone familiar with these games do it, the others I've seen don't do so well as Pravus :)
you sought out someone who could play this game well after watching someone terrible play like i did right?
It’s funny that you mentioned knowing places based on eu4, the second I saw Ryazan I knew where it was do to my great horde campaign.
PLEASE KEEP POSTING MORE ❤ LOVE THIS LOVE LTH
Good morning all!
Cool game, hope to see this series continue.
Train time
at a depot you can put that spare infantry car in front of the engine to shield it
You might want to use maxs attribute point if you didnt in this episode. I didnt see yoou do it anyway
Amazing game!
Praise the Heir! Praise Gimli!
@Pravus This game also somewhat reminds me of This War Of Mine for some reason
More please mate ❤
You have to reach a train depot to get a hospital car. This is done at the beginning or end of a Chapter.
Are you gonna try out frost punk 2 when it comes out?
lol i just thinkin the same thing because of eu 4.

Will you make a playthrough on the hardest difficulty? Would love to see it
❤
When will the next steam world build be out
Why are we fighting against the good guys?
When Rimwolrd?
Pravus should play more democracy 4. i would love to see a hardest difficulty america run. day 308
I'd love the gameplay with way less editing. You jump so many parts that it just takes away some of the fun...
I was bout to buy the game but i see now the ai is far to easy to play around. To bad.
such a buggy game, it's actually unplayable
I've made 7 journeys to the port. It's far from unplayable.
The politics of this game are so rotten lol
Also the word genocide wasn't coined until 1945.
Day 108 of asking for HOI4 TNO
Oh well
The game looks interesting but the level of anti-communist and anti-Russian propaganda is atrocious. And I don't even like commies
I mean the game has been developed by a Czech company, they have some history with the bolsheviks
it is possible for characters on your train to be communist
then is a good game
