Nice video. Do you think we might have an extended season this year?. You are one of the only uk beekeepers i see on TH-cam that follow the crops, it's really interesting. I would love to see a chart of your crop schedule some time in winter😊
I once took mine to the bean but they didn't do great, apparently some years they do fantastic on beans some years not so good. Guess it's like everything. Dependant on the weather
I've said it for a number of years now. The season is starting to creep into October. Traditionally treatments went on in August and that was it. But for the last few years we've still been adding supers in September.
@@Devonhoneyandcandles Last year we didn't get any FB honey what's so ever, The season before was a bumper year with an average of 5 supers each. This year we have a crop but probably 2-3 supers per hive.
@@SimplyBeeutifulHoneywhat/when is your varroa treatment? I’d like to leave my supers on into middle of September and then do a series of OA vapes but people keep telling me that’s too late to be treating
Great videos and such good advice on what you do. Can I ask what bees hit you recommend as yours looks so much better than the ones I can find online. I’m in Scotland and want to invest in a better suit that will last me longer and can just replace the hood as and when needed. In advance 🐝👍
Hi Heather, My suit is a great "summer suit" but is only single layer so I can still get the odd sting but I guess most suits are like that ? It was a prototype suit and I'm trying to find a way to order them in bulk so we can stock them on our website.
Hearing the kids shout out loud at the end was excellent..🐓🐥😎.
Love that frame assembly method👌 so efficient! Great videos, keep up the Trojan work💪
Yeah got to agree Simon the beekeeper foundation is excellent really thick and good pricing 👍🏻
Look forward to trying some borage honey.
Nothing draws out and builds up faster than a swarm. But my job now for tomorrow is making one of those jigs, so easy yet so efficient.
The jigs are a game changer for what is a slightly tedious task if your building quite a few frames.

@@Cubrider I know an old boy, local farmer who said just that about beans, luck of the dice. You cant control the weather.
