Sublime. A CPE Bach sonata, played on a period-correct, one-keyed flute, by a performer imbued with the spirit of that era, and played in a beautiful venue with flawless acoustics -- does it get any better?
Adding: awesome technical mastery; in tune, which is not easy with these instruments; good sound projection, with piani and forti. He totally owned it.
WOW!! Just WOW!! Such a beautiful and pretty powerful sound for the Baroque flute. I love how his low register speaks so clearly and the pinpointedness of his upper register. This was absolutely amazing and beautiful.
I love this performance. I think this must be the combination of the audio from a different performance which was close-miked and this video. No microphone is visible.
What a great tension, what a play with the boundaries of his instrument. In a way it is extremely clear an precise, in another way he is playing with great emotion and a sunrise of feelings. Thank you so much for sharing! All the best from Germany
WOW!!!! Such perfection💕💕💕 Very beautiful and inspiring 😱💕 I followed the score while he played and it was flawless!!! If you thumbed down you're sorely mistaken!!!
Oui, sublime.
wow, such detail and the timings are almost perfect. a little inconsistant in the tempo :) loved the pp subito in the second half when the Theme appears for a third time
Bonjour ! Magnifique ! Bravo ! Sur quelle flûte jouez-vous CPE ? Grenser ? Merci !!

It sure doesn't. You're totally right, that was sublime.

Exquisite playing, and Francois himself embodies beauty and gravitas. A delight.

I wish I could play this type of flute. Its not easy.Francois is amazing and so elegant
Not east, but much fun. I started learning while in the Navy to ease my worried mind.
@@toddsterben6647 where did you find a baroque flute?
AMAZING ARTIST!!! ❤❤❤❤ Inspiration for all musicians 👌
Doesn't get better than this... Love the venue as well.

This is how you do it.
👍❗👍
Excellent balance of fire and detail! Would love to hear that and the other movements in a less over-acoustic setting.
Beautiful place !! Where is it ?
What factory or name reference about this flute?
Please tell us specifically which kind of flute he is playing- it is unbelievably beautiful...
It's a baroque flute

So there, Alessandro Scarlatti! A woodwind player who blows in tune!
Bravo! Very good acoustic . Which flute traverso?
To me it looks like an August Grenser copy. It makes sense because his flutes were made around the time this music was composed.
What's the name of the instrument?
Baroque traverse flute.
Nice tone. Good choice to not choose bouncy acoustics
