Loved the mix of outside trail riding in between the building! When designing a new feature, it would be cool to see you ride similar features in other bike parks to see how you might do things differently.
@@danielgonda9434 Yeah that is a cool idea which is pretty much what I did in the wooden berm video. But other than that I don't really have any bike parks nearby that have interesting features on them. Which is why I started building them myself.
I think I like the planks better uneven gives it like a more of a natural look. But I can see how it should be a safety hazard. I want to ride it though!

I love your videos, they are amazing but can you just do one episode for all those people out there on how to build a jump line, you don’t have to make them big because you’re not the best at jumping but it will improve your skill of jumping and we want to build jumps
Yewwww!!! I’ve been building some jumps out the back of my house and I was wondering, what’s the best way to make a berm out of dirt that is strong and tall? Anyways I love these videos man! Keep it up
Thats so cool you have been building some jumps as well! For a berm thats tall and strong it will depend on the sort of dirt you have. I find that If I get a good mix of clay mixed with my dirt and then a mix it with a bit of water it dries really hard and solid. You dont want so much water that you are working mud. Just enough for the dirt to stick together. And spend lots of time packing it down as you go. Other channels like Matt Jones, and King Of Spades have more experience with big dirt berms.
@@cutlaps Thanks mate! Where our jumps are it’s really sandy because I live near a mining site, do you recommend buying new dirt or just trying to find some more. The issue with the sand is we build jumps but over time they begin to collapse.
@@dunny00 Hmmm thats a tough call, and hard for me to give you any advice without really being there to see it. Have you tried digging deeper to see if you get a better mix of dirt and clay? Otherwise yeah you may need to buy dirt to work with.
Love the new feature! It's great seeing how you add the removable chicken bridges so you can progress! I'm definitely going to try that on some features I want to build.
Yeah the chicken bridges make the trail so much more accessible. Riders of all levels can have a great time on it. And it's perfect for progression. Where do you build?

Aweome! What bike did you get? I had so much fun riding with Yuka and Eric! They are so fast, I almost couldn't keep up with them down my own trail. Yeah I was pretty stoked with the idea of the removable hump to make it more challenging. And building with Vic and Tashi was a lot of fun. We were really bummed that they didn't get a chance to ride it but they will be back.

Yuka rips and she’s super funny, I haven’t checked out her channel but plan to now. I got a used 2020 Ibis Ripmo V1 I am getting lots of downhill PR’s and even uphill ones. It’s so fun! It makes the trails come alive with hidden natural jumps feeling possible all over, I am overshooting jumps now and far more confident on drops and step downs (for some reason I would much rather do a huge table or gap over smaller step downs and drops, but my Ripmo has immediately made me more confident.) My all time favorite bike.

Good eyes! Froff had a great time on the whale tail and rode it exactly how I imagined myself hitting one day. I wanted it to be fun and playful pop off the end that you can whip. But not an extreme gap.
@@cutlaps I know what you mean, you didn’t look ultra stiff (dead sailor). The great thing is you can throw the bridge back on. I would need a lot of practice with the bridge myself. Intimidating feature, it’s so cool you can remove the hump too!
Yeah a rok garden or rock drop would be awesome. And I know where I can build some, but they are going to have to be on another trail, sadly there isn't anywhere to fit them in with the current location. I'm keen to get this trail finished first and then I will start the next trail which will have some more natural features and tech.

Very cool! That's what I did. I was living in the city but had the chance to build my own trail so I moved 5 hours away. I miss my friends in the city but it's hard to pass up such a great opportunity.
As a fellow videographer themilkyway timelapse, wiral lite (how good are they) and masking in this video were grea, what a great edited video! Watching this trail build constantly levelled up is awesome, and then seeing Eric & Yuka now that was a great surprise as i follow both of their channels. All in all great video to watch after my day at work!
Thanks mate! I'm a little bummed with my milkyway shot. My GH5 has an issue that causes the colour to change every couple of images so it has a strong flicker in the timelaps. Apart from the flicker I am stoked with it. How cool are cable cams! Yeah it was awesome to have them come and ride my trail. Really nice people and fun to ride with. If you haven't seen any of Froffs videos you should check them out as well. He has a new one coming out at the end of the week riding my trail. And I think its the best video filmed at my trail. Can't wait for everyone to see it.
The funny thing about cutlaps is that he has better (WAYYYY BETTER) videos than lots of many major mtb youtubers (no offence eric) and he still doesn't have even 50k subs he deserves 10x that AT LEAST

I feel your discomfort at those gaps, it doesn’t feel like we’re getting any height or distance from the saddle, but the camera doesn’t lie and you’re cruising over them both. It would be great to be as cool as @bcpov when doing it.
Your trails look really good, the place that I ride is all clay and only two big wooden jumps that are for more experienced riders which is not exactly for me.
Ah thats a bummer. It can be hard to work with wood on public trails. I'm lucky to have access to so many fallen trees. Hope you get some fun easier wooden features.

All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.

Thanks mate! I love the alpine trail E, it's a great bike for the price. But it depends what you want. The one I have is the entry level and I have been flogging it down some really gnarly trails. It's survived all of them and felt fine doing it. But if I had a bit more cash I would get one with better shocks and forks. But like I said, it's a great bike for the price.
@@cutlaps thanks for the reply . Yeah the suspension is the one thing I’m worried about . I don’t have the cash to go to the E2 and being a bigger bloke I think I might struggle with the suspension. In saying that though I don’t regularly do the scarey stuff but I think the geo and all round design might help me and I’d love to be able to do more runs instead of getting smoked after two long climbs. I didn’t notice the karate in the background at 2:47 until my second time watching. So then I tried to go back to find it and kept falling for the landing over and over. I was loosing my mind trying to find that karate shot to see it again and I couldn’t find it for a while because I kept looking at that landing!!!

Yeah thats a cool idea. Gotta be careful though because a lot o pallets are built out of crap wood that will rot and break easy, so they can be dangerous. Would be cool to turn one into a kicker.

Yeah I kind of like the uneven look as well. Reminds me of mario kart or something. I think I may do a feature and leave it a bit more rough looking.

I've seen a lot of whale tail builds but this is the first with the removable hump. Such a killer idea.
It really spices up the feature! Makes it fun for riders of all levels.

@@cutlaps that's for sure. I haven't drummed up the courage to ride World up DH yet. My wife and boys ran into Yuka and Eric at the shuttle line. I was climbing the trails at the time. They don't watch your or froff but I would have said hi if I'd seen you. Keep up the amazeballs content my guy.

Very cool! That's what I did. I was living in the city but had the chance to build my own trail so I moved 5 hours away. I miss my friends in the city but it's hard to pass up such a great opportunity.
As a fellow videographer themilkyway timelapse, wiral lite (how good are they) and masking in this video were grea, what a great edited video! Watching this trail build constantly levelled up is awesome, and then seeing Eric & Yuka now that was a great surprise as i follow both of their channels. All in all great video to watch after my day at work!
Thanks mate! I'm a little bummed with my milkyway shot. My GH5 has an issue that causes the colour to change every couple of images so it has a strong flicker in the timelaps. Apart from the flicker I am stoked with it. How cool are cable cams! Yeah it was awesome to have them come and ride my trail. Really nice people and fun to ride with. If you haven't seen any of Froffs videos you should check them out as well. He has a new one coming out at the end of the week riding my trail. And I think its the best video filmed at my trail. Can't wait for everyone to see it.
The funny thing about cutlaps is that he has better (WAYYYY BETTER) videos than lots of many major mtb youtubers (no offence eric) and he still doesn't have even 50k subs he deserves 10x that AT LEAST

I saw that Yuka and BCPOV were in Australia and thought that it would be cool if you guys met up but then I thought...it is kind of a big country.
It was so cool of them to visit me and the trail. They are both really nice people and super fun to ride with.
I feel your discomfort at those gaps, it doesn’t feel like we’re getting any height or distance from the saddle, but the camera doesn’t lie and you’re cruising over them both. It would be great to be as cool as @bcpov when doing it.

Your trails look really good, the place that I ride is all clay and only two big wooden jumps that are for more experienced riders which is not exactly for me.
Ah thats a bummer. It can be hard to work with wood on public trails. I'm lucky to have access to so many fallen trees. Hope you get some fun easier wooden features.

My friend put this bike together for his son and before I knew it he was done th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L When the son came to put it together he was surprised to see it was already done. All he had to do was take the bike to get air and be on his way. My friend did not have any major problems putting this bike together; small issue was putting one of the brakes on straight; however when the son got home he was able to fix it. The bike rides well gears move correctly; good bike for the price. Wrote review after the son took the bike. Sorry.
It's a TransX dropper, 170mm. Im pretty tall and need a longer one.

Thanks mate! I love the alpine trail E, it's a great bike for the price. But it depends what you want. The one I have is the entry level and I have been flogging it down some really gnarly trails. It's survived all of them and felt fine doing it. But if I had a bit more cash I would get one with better shocks and forks. But like I said, it's a great bike for the price.
@@cutlaps thanks for the reply . Yeah the suspension is the one thing I’m worried about . I don’t have the cash to go to the E2 and being a bigger bloke I think I might struggle with the suspension. In saying that though I don’t regularly do the scarey stuff but I think the geo and all round design might help me and I’d love to be able to do more runs instead of getting smoked after two long climbs. Still on the fence but I’ll keep researching. Cheers mate 🤘 Mick

I didn’t notice the karate in the background at 2:47 until my second time watching. So then I tried to go back to find it and kept falling for the landing over and over. I was loosing my mind trying to find that karate shot to see it again and I couldn’t find it for a while because I kept looking at that landing!!!

Yeah thats a cool idea. Gotta be careful though because a lot o pallets are built out of crap wood that will rot and break easy, so they can be dangerous. Would be cool to turn one into a kicker.
