This movie should've won the Oscar for best movie ever! A star studded cast and an immediate cult classic. Mike Judge pays homage to this brilliant piece of art in a few Beavis and Butthead episodes.
As always great picks and definitely 80s comedies just had that fun spirit armed and dangerous is such a forgotten gem and myself being a SCTV fan it's so much fun seeing John Candy and Eugene Levy being in a movie together
I've got some great forgotten 80s gems. My Bodyguard (1980) a sleeper hit in the year of 1980. Ruthless People(1986) a huge hit in the summer of 86 one of the best comedies of all time. Blue Thunder (1983) Super cool action flick. Running Scared (1986) great buddy cop film.
Some of these seem interesting, thanks for bringing them to my attention. The fact that they're "dated" (not politically correct) is actually a plus in my opinion. Modern films suck.
Both Gods Must Be Crazy films are funny as hell! I actually saw the 2nd one first which was odd cause at the time I was like 12 and really into action movies but it sucked me in and made me laugh. Loved the characters😁
Dude that was pretty much my exact same experience with this franchise. It was so out of the norm of things I watched at that age but it pulled me in when my family was watching it and I loved them both. Thanks for watching Bassman! 🤙🏻
x UHF is one of my favorite movies! x I added Nightshift, Class of 1984, Hot Dog: The Movie, Gorillas In the Mist, and Armed and Dangerous to my August Watchlist.
Great vid! Anyone who drops props on "The Gods Must Be Crazy" not only deserves a like but also a sub. Respecting "UHF" is a bonus that makes me wish I could subscribe twice. 🤓
Class of 1984 is very surreal film and it's one of my favs and guilty pleasures. The theme song "I am the future" is also a really underrated song from Alice Cooper that's forgotten from his blackout era.
Some great picks there! Cop is an underrated classic along with Class of 1984. Armed and dangerous is hilarious! Worth noting, some of these movies are available to watch, in full, on TH-cam 👍
It's weird... I haven't forgotten any of these. They loom as large in my conciousness as some of the bigger hits of the day. Night Shift remains one of my favourite movies. I don't think I ever psychologically left the 80's...
Amen Badger I'm trying to keep Gen X ass back in the 80s as well! Keaton was lights out funny in Night Shift. Truly a great comedy! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
The 80's had the best movies. Maybe you could do 'Haunted Honeymoon', 'Clue', 'Moonwalker', 'Dead Heat', 'High Spirits', 'Transylvania 6-5000', 'Vamp', 'Once Bitten' and Volunteers with Tom Hanks.
The god’s must be Crazy is a funny movie. Night Shift was great and I loved the song from the Commodores did for the sound track. Shelly Long she was so popular back then fresh from Cheers. The stuff she did with Bette Middler was great too. Armed and Dangerous was funny! So was UHF. I think movies like this should be done again. Not every movie coming out needs to be a blockbuster! Sometimes I wonder if the actors missed these too. I remember movies that weren’t the summer blockbusters but we’re still great just you know it was on a smaller scale. Bruce Willis in Hudson Hawk. I mean he had the block busters like Die Hard and Blind Date and then you Hudson Hawk not as popular but still good. I 100% agree and definitely good great mentions! The Burbs is an all-time fav of mine. I missed the days when a little movie like Crocodile Dundee could kill it at the box office. Everything now has to be the start of a new franchise or borrowed from something built on nostalgia. Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
Man, great memories I have most of them in my movie collection. In Australia UHF was called the Vidiot from UHF - loved the firehose, ' badgers we don't need no stinking badgers" and 'Supplies!!!!'. So many good lines. Loved Hot Dog the movie too (I was an early teen) follow similar dumb teenage fun movies. (final jump Triple dick flip with a twist. 😅) I can't go without mentioning 'The Gods Must be crazy'. It played at a cinema in Perth for 3 Years. Every day. It is so good, so funny and we loved it.
The only one of these I forgot about was Cop. I remember a local theater in the Bay Area played the gods must be crazy every day for an entire summer and I saw it a few times cuz it was like a dollar.
Where the Buffalo Roam. There are so many quotable lines in that movie.... Under the Rainbow, Chevy Chase and Carrie Fisher... I think that movie has disappeared completely.

@@MoviesNeverSayDie The way John Candy delivered that line has been locked in the back of my brain since I watched the movie when it came out. Absolute classic. Have to go through your back catalog see what other greats I've forgotten lol.
I streamed Black Moon Rising some months ago and it's ok but not as cool as the movie poster leads you to believe, I was curious to see a younger looking Tommy Lee Jones who was 40 at the time but looks about 60 in the movie. 🤣Also Linda Hamilton looked really hot with her 80's hair I don't know somewhere along after doing T2 her looks started to go.
I think TLJ looked 30 at birth! Yeah there were definitely a ton of movies from the 80s that weren't nearly as awesome as their movie art was. Posters were killer in the 80s! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
I've loved The Gods Must Be Crazy since I was a preteen! Real original and fun idea.

Still love vampires, for all its flaws.
Anyone for a Chinese Downhill?
🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for watching Jet! 👍🏻

Some great movies in this list , but is Armed and dangerous the best one? "Duhh yeah I think so" lol
Haha thanks for watching Michael much appreciated!
@@MoviesNeverSayDie The way John Candy delivered that line has been locked in the back of my brain since I watched the movie when it came out. Absolute classic.
Have to go through your back catalog see what other greats I've forgotten lol.
Candy was a legend without a doubt!
Project X with Matthew Broderick and Helen Hunt is good along with Wise Guys with Danny DeVito.
Yeah that's a good one, my mom at first thought it was a sequel to War Games because both starred Matthew Broderick so lies the confusion.
Love Wise Guys! Hilarious movie! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
Casual Sex... loved it... especially the ending.
It's a solid comedy, I love anything with Thompson haha! Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Love armed and dangerous
Such a fun comedy! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
Ya. Chinese Downhill.
