An American Tale will always have a warm and special place in my heart ☺☺🥰🥰. My dad took me out to see it as a 6 year old when it was released and it was a wonderful time. Deeply heartfelt and moving story and excellent performances and music, etc. I was often on the edge of my seat as I followed the main character's quest.
The Wraith has been on my to-watch list for a while. I'm now adding One Crazy Summer, The Principle, Up The Creek, Bad Medicine, to my list. I've not heard of those before.
The Wraith is such a fun action movie! One Crazy Summer is such a fun movie! Innerspace is such a crazy fun movie of hilarity! An American Tail was an ok movie worth watching at least once! Star 80 was a great movie! Little Nikita was such a fantastic thriller movie, always worth watching!
Child’s play was actually filmed in my neighborhood and my grade school . As a 8yr old watching them blow up the building Chucky blew up was so cool to see 40th and calumet Chicago Illinois was the block lol
That's awesome! What a memory to have, actually seeing the climax of a classic horror movie being filmed is killer! I remember they filmed a scene with Halle Berry The Rich Man's Wife at a bar in the small town I grew up in but that is boring in comparison! 😆 Thanks for watching! 👍🏻
Love this series. Please do 'Tuff Turf', 'Legend of Billie Jean', 'Summer School', 'The Great Outdoors', 'Just one of the Guys' and 'Private Resort' with Johnny Depp.
A lot of movies here that I love. The Wraith, One Crazy Summer, and The Principle are all movies that have seen several times. But Star 80 is a cut above the rest. It's oozing with sleaze but masterfully told, and it really is the type of movie that you only watch once. The acting is stellar and it's truly a heartbreaking story. I feel like the subject matter makes it something that people really don't want to talk about, it's uncomfortable to discuss and hard to recommend without feeling like you're condoning what happened.
Couldn't agree more about Star 80. It's one of those movies you can recommend for how it crafts atmosphere, the performances, and just how well it can evoke an emotional response but it certainly would come with a huge disclaimer.
Even more lost 80s movies Frankinstein Island, Summer Rental, Guns & Lipstick (1995) The Stuff, Samuri Cop, Chopping Mall, Hobgoblins, Evil Dead. Another high school thriller that deserves a mention is "Class of 1984". It takes place in a school that is ran by student gang members. And the teachers are overwhelmed and stressed out by them as they walk all over them and the good students as well. Up until the new music teacher stops taking their bs and starts going at it with them. Also look for both a young pre-back to the future Michael J Fox as one of the good students and Roddy McDowell as one of the two main Teachers trying to survive.
Love the wraith that car is still one of the best movie cars of all time, one crazy summer was funny as hell the bean can man was hilarious, innerspace was a fun movie, i love the American tail love it , the principal was cool the last fight in the school was good , never seen ruuski ,or this up the creek, bad medicine star 80 either, never even heard of little Nikita

The Wraith and the Stephen King book Christine which was adapted as a well made supernatural horror movie about a haunted terrifying badass car may have inspired the Hell Charger used by Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes).
Star 80 is bizarre because, in the circle of friends surrounding Dorothy Straton, there were three separate high-profile murders. The largest was the Chippendale Murders. The owner of the Chippendale Male Review, Male Strippers, had several people murdered.
