I'm being lazy here, but do you have a quick & dirty method to guesstimate the dollar amount of their excess CET1 capital (e.g. if they were to lower it from 15.9% to 14.x% in the range of their peers), so it's easy to estimate how much that works out to in dollar amount per outstanding share? 😛

With that high CET ratio of 15.9%, OCBC is a coiled spring. They don't have to pay out more in lock-step with DBS. They can play it safe and pay it out when the coast is clearer a quarter or a year from now.. like you I am happy to wait.

Isn't STI ETF a better choice? Afterall it immediately gives you 50% exposure across the 3 banks. And 50% in other things. OK, it yields lower at 4.6% currently, but with that diverisifcation comes lower risk than all in the 3 banks. May I know why you don't purchase STI ETF given this?
The ETF works for people who don't have the time or inclination to look at individual stocks. I like to have control over what goes into my portfolio and not accept whatever is in a basket.

DBS paid 60% payout dividend, which you said. They only paid 55% only
Eh. Not in the most recent report I read. I could be mistaken, of course.
In terms of valuation, OCBC offers slightly better value than DBS & UOB. Best to own all 3. 😂

Can anybody recommend a good broker for Sg buy and holds? There are a lot of trading brokers but buy and hold brokers seem harder to find?? (Angmoh here btw....😁)
I only use the local names. Since you are buying and holding, the lower trading fees offered by some shouldn't matter. These usually hold your shares for you in a nominee account which can be bothersome.
