    Haydn is the father of the symphony. His music is amazing in harmony, grace and elegance. Viva Haydn a true genius of music that gives us unforgettable moments of pleasure and haunting music. Bravissimo

    In questa sinfonia gli echi dello Sturm und Drang sono quasi impercettibili. Al di là delle passioni, Haydn guarda ad un mondo sonoro che rifletta l'ordine e la calma beata della natura: una natura sorridente , appena sfiorata da ombre. Se la sostanza tematica appare forse più povera rispetto ai periodi precedenti, l'elaborazione è libera, capricciosa e non meno geniale. Il tessuto orchestrale si fa trasparente, gli strumenti a fiano intervengono con discrezione e bastano pochi tocchi per aprire una nuova prospettiva, indicare una direzione ignota e contribuire ad una varietà di un panorama spirituale. la cui legge basilare rimane l'equilibrio, ma che non rinuncia alla seduzione dei contrasti. Haydn conferisce particolare importanza ai coloriti, collocando con disinvoltura nel bel mezzo dell'adagio, per esempio, un "pianissimo" accanto ad un "fortissimo". In apparenza semplice, quasi dimesso, il "suono" haydniano acquista corpo. LDC
