I love that your doing this in a Subaru and its not like a crazy build something like this is achievable for most people I'm driving a lifted crv these SUVs with awd are kinda underrated I drove down ATV trails and when people see you in a car they're shocked

Oatmeal and eye think this vid is Super as well as Dooper!!! We got to sea some Coyote out in the woods but my camera was not handy. LOVE thee winter coats!
People always learning the hard way on that Middle Fork road. Same with the North Fork in the summer. Always assume someone is coming the other way on those blind corners or you end up like that guy. Good on you for stopping and helping though. Hopefully they take that lesson to heart.

Taking my Subaru to Yosemite this month. Would have never considered winter car camping before, but you've inspired me.
Anyway .. I googled green subaru as I had put a deposit on one and just wanted to see what I was getting, and Chase's videos came up in the google search. I have now mentally pulled all the seats out and worked out where I would like to camp, now I need a work car . Great videos, never ever thought I would be watching these, but they are very nice and calming and sincere. Thank you.

He's good at what he does, but you put something else into your videos that make me feel comfortable and there.

Great vids. Used to tent camp w/ fam throughout ID, MT, WY when younger. Itching to get back. Notice in your vids you don’t reveal exact locations sometimes. Deliberate to keep good spots from being overrun? I imagine Frank Church is popular spot being so close? Also, how’d you fashion that table out the hatch?

I've been looking into a subaru forester mk1/2 to buy in the near future and i'd love to camperize it as you've done to yours, as i've recently tried to sleep in a mitsubishi asx last summer in italy and it was a blast. I love your content, keep delivering, i'm a photographer too so adding photography in those videos goes a long way for me :) Keep up the beautiful work, doubt on the micro choices of a video but never doubt on the macro, your channel is truly beautiful, you're doing the right thing. Interesting thoughts and couldn't agree more. I am always torn with my own videos of being they typical ADHD TH-cam bouncing off the walls vs this sort of vibe. It works well for the filming though.

We have a lot of Elk, Deer, Mtn Lions, Wild Turkeys & a bear who lives in the SW part of our Mtn.

Hey Chase, regarding the Outback - ever have any issues with the 2.5 vs. the 2.4 turbo they offer today. Think it’s worth the xtra $5k ?
Jeff, I have not had any issues with mine but the 2.4 turbo sounds like a fun engine. The 2.5 is definitely a bit slow and I suspect the turbo 2.4 would have a bit more to offer.

Hi, Chase! I also have a Subaru based camper. Made according to your example, for which I thank you! I recently made a self-contained diesel heater, that quickly installs in the back door window and heats the interior all night. Transported in the trunk, and installed in 30 seconds. Check out the review on my channel, maybe, you will do something similar for yourself. Best wishes!
Dude that sounds baller! Im in my first phase of car camping with all tent gear and no heater. Likely no need for it until fall but man is camping in the snow fun.
