I love these episodes on Shorinji kempo! While in mainland China and Taiwan they still teach the traditional martial arts, unfortunately Chinese teachers rarely ever let their students practice applying these techniques on eachother. No wonder that in sparring matches, the practitioners of traditional Chinese martial arts get defeated. It's NOT because traditional martial art is inferior. It's simply because they never practice applying their techniques. It's good to see that the teacher in Japan makes sure his students actually practice how to apply these techniques on a training partner. Good work! 👍
It was against the law for Chinese martial artists to spar in China. That's why all the games like sticking hand and push hands. I just recently learned this. I always wondered why traditional Chinese martial arts didn't spar more. I practice non-traditional Chinese martial arts. And we do kickboxing, grappling, and practical weapons. My teacher Rudolph Kirsch Sr. taught us in a very similar way. We did lot's of experimentation with our Shaolin Kempo. Shorinji Kempo is a great art a mix of Chinese arts and Daito Ryu Jujitsu. I like watch video showing black belts expirementing and teach one another.
Great great videos!! There are a lot of these self-defense videos.. but what do you do when the punch really hurts and you are out of the game for a while?? What does a Samurai do if he actually gets hit by a sword?? Maybe you could make a video of this??
@@ЧенЛи-ф4ш You are watching this video 🤔 .. maybe there is something mystical about karate and samurai.. waa.. or what would Bruce Lee say about this😁
Would you please have experience with pencak silat Indonesia? I suggest You may invite the fight koreografer of movie "The Raid" Or "John Wick 3" Kang Yayan Ruhiyan or kang Cecep Rahman. 😊😊
how can you be in karate for decades and not know how to kick with the ball of the foot? I was taught that in my first week of training. It takes months for your ankle to fold down all of the way and for your toes to fold up enough to be safe when kicking that way, but once you attain those things, you have a weapon that is far more useful than any folding knife, or any fixed blade that's not at least 8" long. and heavy enough to chop with.

I'll never getr tired of Taka sensei's absolute enthusiasm when meeting other masters and learning new things. This is true martial spirit in action.
Dziekuje bardzo! Благодарю!CZESC.

Sparring is absolutely essential to learn how to hit and take a hit and keep fighting otherwise you will never feel really confident in your technique

@@Jari1973 Bruce Lee said "Be like water", karate must be hard - it is its principle, you must be hard in karate, no water.😁
