I hear you John It has been rough to say the least. Tried to fish two different lakes yesterday morning and finally gave up without a single bite. Decided to work on some stands for next deer season instead. Spring is coming though! Hang in there.
Great Job John! I really appreciated you describing your equipment and your describing your technique of using a 1/16 0z and letting it fall and fishing slowly. This kind of content will make me a better fisherman. Look out Richard Gene!!!
Been tough for a while with me. December through Early February is always a struggle. I usually have to resort to bluegill fishing. Had several good days Hickory Shad fishing lately. Got me a few hybrids and Walleye today so I know how it feels to go through the struggle
John, we all get that way, don't worry about. We understand more than you probably know. So do what you can when you can do it, we'll watch. Go catch a few. That will get you feeling better.
Hey John, enjoy the videos! I know you don’t use worms a whole lot, but never put a half worm back in the container with the rest. It will kill the rest. In this case they looked half dead, but just figured I’d share that tip.
I’m curious where you heard that? Not saying it’s not true but generally interested. I throw half used worms back in pretty often and haven’t noticed any issues although I do use them again pretty quickly.
Glad to hear you’re feeling better but please take care of yourself! Nice to see you got on some, definitely like when you go over your kit while fishing!
I find my own water, locally, and fish em.John has helped me in creeks! So i go fish em.the nikko halgramite nabbed a 5.99 large mouth, booyah spinnerbait 1/8 oz got my PB of 6lb 7 oz,seversl 3,4,5 lbers on the hullagrub ned, small swimbaits on okashira spin head.and the balsa Rapala. All have smoked em! Not to forget rebel craw crank too. And a yum dinger. All suggested baits from creek fishing adventures. 🎣 thx John for sharing, inspiring, and leaving a good message from the good 📖.
Great video. Yellow bass are a very under rated fish. They hit aggressively. They fight hard. They are tasty if you prepare them right. I like to mix horseradish and lime juice, sprinkle on the fish and the broil them.
Catfish Chris was clutch with that spot brother. Tend to agree with you guys about sharing spots with just anyone. I did that about 20 years ago and learned the hard way when it became overrun by people who didn't know how to act. Now if I'm sharing a spot either I'd take a bullet for you and you for me. Hasn't failed yet brother. Get out and explore after you put in a little work. Blessings
I feel you! When it's slow it's rough. Especially when you drive to a spot far off and end up with nothing. I can't wait till the yellow bass run up here.
A couple of "sick days" can really make staying motivated to work difficult. As a thought, a couple of equipment videos in reserve could cover some of the down time. I would enjoy a kayak comparison video (storage, organization, durability ..); maybe seasonal creek selection criteria (when and where); my most unexpected catches (from previous video stock). Just because they aren't biting doesn't mean the viewers aren't biting. Thanks again for your work and wonderful video content.
We have a weird lake spot in e tn where we get yellow perch and yellow bass together.really no major creeks feeding in.guessin there land locked.no white bass.odd.the yellow bass can push 2lbs.bizzare.
Classic with the water down, to look at topographic maps and see the accessible structure, and!!! cast one of those fishfinders now available that you can remotely connect to your phone. Highly recommend just that. Tech is amazing these days. And others on youtube are using that piece of equipment with amazing results. And you see the fish on your phone no differently than any fishfinder on a boat.
I am still looking to be able just to go out and catch fish like you do. I moved back south after 23 years, now, I am trying to find the right stuff to do that.
Great video and great fishing guys!! Looks like you had fun, and beautiful day!! Have a good evening and weekend. Feel better soon John and sending prayers for you 🙏
I love that your faith based and thankful for the Grace our father has provided through Christ Jesus keep it going brother it’s good having another fishing brother in the family🙏❤️
Hello John, I hope you get to feeling better, I have been sick myself, but I believe everything will be alright because I have talked to our Lard and Savior and I will pray for you 🙏 be bless.
Chris is going to starve you to death. I was disappointed that he didn’t fry y’all up some fish. As much as you like Mexican food maybe fry up some fish with Mexican seasoning and make fish tacos
The weather has been so up and down to extremes lately… I think it has made things extra tough. Glad to see you boys found them. Great outing.
I hear you John

The worms die and decompose extremely quickly killing the healthy worms in short order.@@beaverstatefishing1587

Glad you did well at that spot! Yall sure did wear em out! Stay safe out there man!

Thanks for this one. I’ve also been watching some of Chris’ videos.

I know the feeling. Last trip even the bluegill seem to have lock jaw.😂👍😄. Had to resort to a few shorts of the couple I did catch .

Awesome them yellows that size taste incredible. Just a bit stronger that whites and usually way easier to find from the shore.👍😄
Great video guys John I would to see you do some more your budget rod and reel reviews thank you for the video
John to be honest I’ve been going through the same problem about not catching fish. Up here where I am at it’s like they have a bad case of lock jaw
You should really come try Indian Creek in Hardin County for big smallmouth.
Glad you're on the mend! Tight lines!
Fishing is always good medicine. Enjoy your videos man keep it up.

Fishing should be about getting away from stuff like cell phones.
@@christopherwood2290 I agree, but this is no different than using a fish finder on a boat. Do you do that? Or do you avoid that too?
God bless you abundantly my friend need to come to western nc sometime my friend I got some spots
A great friend is always better than a great day fishing. Sometimes they be your angel, and others you be their angel.
I am still looking to be able just to go out and catch fish like you do. I moved back south after 23 years, now, I am trying to find the right stuff to do that.
