Back then when Daniel & Miz were together in NXT I remember that clearly there was already tense and Daniel didn’t want to be Miz prodigy. Especially seeing Daniel Bryan in ring style is unique especially the incredible cardio he has. Everyone hated Miz back then cause he has a cocky attitude that nobody likes at all especially in the PG era. What I didn’t like about Miz the most is he talked down to Daniel Bryan as if he didn’t know what he’s doing in the ring. When I understood Daniel Bryan was rugged and aggressive when he fights that’s what people like about. There was real tension between them since Daniel Bryan shouldn’t be Miz prodigy from the start. The Miz was trying to show Daniel Bryan this is the way how it works in WWE and not do it like any other wrestling companies. That was the conflict I understand it since it was about learning from each other and how to be better. At least they had there final match to end the rivalry it was a long time coming.

I don’t want to see Miz be a heel anymore. If anything he should become a somewhat Johnny Cage figure. Where he is cocky but is still a face. Not a coward either. Just maybe plays into the crowd too much.

*You don't have to care about anything said here because it's too long, but i love this sport beyond reason*
In my subjective view, they both elevated each other at perfect time periods. The Miz being Bryan's mentor *gimmick* during his NXT days, then losing the US title to Bryan elevated Bryan to being a serious threat in WWE. Bryan allowing the Miz to blast him about his remark about his style & at the same time destroying the IWC smarks about not knowing how the business of professional wrestling works...was genuinely the Miz's defining moment.
Both made incredible points to their notions, they were both correct & wrong at the same time about each other during the "Talking Smack" program.
Bryan is one of the most prodigious/incredible technical wrestlers the business has ever seen, & helped future talent find themselves in the independent circle. He's completely reckless about his health but it's all passion behind it. He clearly loves what this sport is truly about. He's "Anti" Sports entertainment. He loves the blue collar physical passionate grind this sport is, to reach the top. He also believes just like Cody, that it is YOUR obligation to give the fans 100% of what you got, night after night. He isn't wrong about the Miz not being memorable & him being safe. It's somewhat disrespectful to fans...that he doesn't give it his all every week like Bryan does. At the same time, calling the Miz a "coward" just isn't right.
However Bryan was also wrong, The Miz overcame his critics saying he would never be champion after his "tough Enough" participation. The Miz also isn't wrong on the notion that him being safe is best for business. Anybody who's done a sport practically knows, the best ability is availability; it also promotes longevity. The Miz is a "Sports entertainer" not a wrestlers "Wrestler" like Bryan. The Miz also helped bring prestige back to the IC championship after the division was brutally destroyed for years during the PG era. You can't deny...even if he never will be the top guy of the franchise, he's worked his ass off in that ring & outside to do his job. He played an extremely 'good chicken-shit' heel in a really regressed era. The Miz also helped elevate so many superstars when he put them over in promos! While being a great mic worker!
Love them or hate them, they both needed each other at some point. It's all subjectivity on who you would rather support. Or you probably love them BOTH!!
A guy with one of the GREATEST victories in professional wrestling history at the biggest stage, & being the greatest underdog ever. While delving into legend status in the ring.
Or a guy who's been consistently reliable to do any role almost & have an absurd amount of accolades to your legacy. While being at the top company for 17+ years & staying relatively healthy. Both great careers. This is a underrated rivalry which two people who are passionate about the business in different ways.

If the WWE drops the Miz where do you think he would go? Especially with the way Tony is loose with the checkbook when it comes to former WWE wrestlers.😂
