Sleep are the only band I can see a new song come out and it be completely different from everything in their repertoire and not feel out of place or like a downgrade in quality. The production value on this album fits the band and their style so well. It's amazing how a production team that understands the creative direction of the band and enables them to be at their absolute BEST can make such a world of difference! Metal Album of the Year contender here boyos.
The Summoning is GOD TIER........but VORE is my fav track Complete structural Masterpiece. Its pieced together so perfectly......the bridges/interludes flow seamlessly into each heavy section.....always building + creating tension

I downloaded this album from a friends suggestion and it popped on when I was working out. I literally had to stop lifting and luckily I was in my house because after the 5th listen in a row I started crying like a baby. Seriously ethereal experience
Sleep Token really reminds me of a band called Fightstar. So much of this new material gives me the vibes of their last album "Behind the Devils Back", and I love it so much.

That was my first intoduction, I was getting into Lorna shore and I saw that cover of hypnosis, but silly me didn’t look into the band until I heard the ending of the summoning on TikTok LOL! I recognized the band name and was VERY intrigued at that point lol

I’m not usually a fan of tons of screaming vocals, but I always love this song and how ‘chilled’ it feels. Probably bc the screams are less of a roar and more hissing, it just sounds more pleasing to my ears.

I went insane for this song as soon as it came out, beforehand some of Sleep Token's "lighter" songs were my favourites. The combo of screaming/more melodic parts hit my brain just right 😩
This track reminds me a lot of Rōnin by Ibaraki with Vessels screams being similar to Gerard Ways screams. The contrast in this song between the blackened screams and melodic choruses is pretty prevalent in Rōnin as well, both tracks are crazy.
This just like one of the other singles was very much Deftones White Pony vibes. This was like the intro for Be Quiet and Drive with some Korea and Elite. Mixed in.

Been listening to them since the "Nazareth" Single! The way they evolve and add to their sound is just amaizng. It sounds very very different from early sleeptoken, but at the sime time very familiar. Which is a great thing because the songs get more and more complex (which I love) but always retain the special mood/ambience their music has had so far. So glad to see them get the recognition they deserve. (plus boosts my self confidence in my own music taste lmao)
This is the only Sleep Token song that I've heard that I enjoy all the way through. Pretty damn good. That part at 2:40ish sounds like a metalcore/post metal band that my ex-manager listens to a lot but I can't remember the name of them.
Those are definitely Vessel's screams. Man's got a range. But, Sleep Token may not exactly be a metalcore band, but this definitely qualifies as a metalcore song.

6 months later, my favourite of the album. It’s got the heavy vocals that I wish Summoning and Chokehold had more of, but it’s groovy af. I’m full on Worship.

Something I like I that the droning and screaming guitar like noises that play throughout almost the whole song make it feel like the song is being.. swallowed whole
