- Takeoff roll and "screaming" liftoff on a smoggy summer evening. This is pretty rare visitor at this time of year. The flight is usually operated by a Boeing 747 or Airbus A340-600 in the summer schedule.
The sound quality of this video is excellent. It's a shame the weather was so dull and that it was an A343. Keep your good work up! You're getting better n' better.
Oh the sound.
YES! It is a roar as it approaches...just like a lion dominating its
field!!!
@SettingTheStandards - Thanks man! I know how you feel about BWIA giving them up. Air Jamaica had three A340s at one point for the UK services (London and Manchester). I flew on one between JFK and Kingston about 3 weeks before they were removed from the fleet permanently.
i have taken off from boston many times on this plane and it sounds real good when your on board it does
damn, that was a loud takeoff - like music to the ears ;)
@cjracer1000 - Yes it does. The power rating is slightly different but they both use CFM-56 engines.
It similar to the RR RB211 engine sound on the queen of the sky, B747.
More like the 757 with PW or a a320
Boy those RB211,used to motor on the L1011 TriStar I love to hear them at full power going up the runway
wow...i i know they're old, but still wished BWIA had kept them..amazing videos as always, stay cool man. :)
Sounds great
Listen to that beauty just scream her way out of beantown! Great vantage point!
beautiful
@joedfd43 - LOL!!! I like that description, "scream her way out of beantown"! :-) That's the sound of those CFM-56's. Search for my video called "Air Jamaica A340 Departure From JFK - Tilted View" to hear the A340's CFM-56 engines from inside the aircraft.
The buzz sound is my fav
Awesome 😎 thank for sharing
Now Its Nothing Due To COVID-19 :'(
I miss you A
waw
one of my favorite.
how could you get a clear sound from the beginning of the take off, wasn't it that far from you?
what's the difference between 300 and 600?
"that sound is only made by the 757 P&W engines" ~quote from tbird
Beautiful plane
@jetdrive450 - LOL! I know. Those -300s always seem to take a while to get off the ground.
You mean A340-300?
@SouthwestFreak - Wrong my friend, I was referring to the odd sounds made at the end of the reverse-thruster sequence on the PW engines.
God that A343 sounds sexy
@LeoA380 - Thanks for the kind words!
The A340-200s and 300s have thinner engines, while the 500s, and 600s have larger engines.
♥️
It sounds like a A320-216
@tbird209 i guess we werent on the same page that day....lol....remember i said that i thought i had heard that in a 737 before. i thought you were talking about this screaming of the engine...lol :)
Sounds like those A320 Family.
Screaming Takeoff
@tbird209 Thanks!
@ionutshowcase - Yes it is.
This is clearly an a340-300. You can tell by the engines that they are smaller than the a340-600's and also the length of the aircraft is shorter
sounds like an a320
I hear this buzz sound when a plane flys pass my house
A340-600?
Noisy aircraft unseen before.
An airplane with 4 hairdryers under the wings.
Que lindo falando inglês
Airplane version of a honda civic with the muffler taken off. Lots of noise but no power
Doesn't this airplane use the same engines from the A320 family?
Just my thinking? The sound of A340-300 same with A320 GE engines??
Because it is the same engine that use by A320 GE cfm and 737 but with more power on A340
Haters will be like “ ITS A340-300 IDIOT”
So many yoo too bers use superlative words for mundane subjects. In the case the engines DO scream!
Underpowered small engines in the 300
Is a flight for London - Heathrow ?
Yes
Definately a 300 :L
fossil video
Ya don't say
