The Flirt200 here is called class X74 due to them being identical to the Norwegian Flirt200s. In Norway they are Type74/BM74, and were also approved for use in Sweden before MTR bought their trains. So now they share the class/type with the Norwegian trains.
Interesting - thanks Simon. I did wonder what MTRX were like after travelling on an SJ regional in the opposite direction last Mon, albeit the long way round via Västerås and Örebro, taking 4h45. I ended up on the SJ one because I couldn't get an Interrail seat reservation on the faster services. Wish I'd paid extra for the MTRx train and got 1h25 of my life back now 😄
Interrail reservations might be the only reason to take the slow trains, with all the competition from Flix SJ and MTRX is usually possible to get cheap tickets even hours before departure 😀. Hope you had a nice trip 👍
@@Simon-Andersen Yes, it was a good trip 👍 I was surprised how comfortable the SJ train was, considering it was meant to be regional. I will check out MTRx next time I'm in Sweden, though.
great video. Plan to train between Stockholm and Göteborg then either bus or train to Oslo (apparently both take roughly the same amount of time but the train may prove more comfortable). Was the wifi free because i am assuming it was.
Trainy McTrainface is a brilliant name
Completly agree
Hahaha, cheeky Swedes;)

Excellent video and I got so much information from it. Hoping to do the same journey next month, thanks so much for the upload!
Thanks Steve, have a great trip!
Just make sure you book the right direction!
Thank you for travelling on the MTR 🚅🚆

Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Beautiful job my friend 😉🖐️
Thank you 😊
A note: the first class only offer the free seat next to you if you book the first class plus ticket. But a meal is included in both. J.
The train operator Vy in norway uses the same stadler rolling stock

Yes the wifi was. Train is definitely more comfortable.
Very nice and I actually believe they operate to Båstad too but Idk where the route starts from
Yes! I should have remembered to put that in the video, they ran a few services basically as extentions of the services to Båstad in the summer 🌞
@@Simon-Andersen Yeah
9:52 welp
Please have a try on the Hong Kong version of MTR, you will be surprised by that
Maybe one day! Hong Kong is far away :D
mtr is hongkong i found out also sweden
Yes they are the Hong Kong Metro company but they operate a lot of trains in Sweden including this, the stockholm metro and Mälartåg
How about the noise levels
MTRX will be VR soon.
Now they are green VR trains
i work with cleaning these trains, i get such anxiety when you show the inside
They have always been clean when I've been onboard 😊
I totaly agree they are the best 😎👍
