Oh at alll I expect part 2 or the resurrection of slim shady by summer 2025 if that long he was quiet thru all the industry fuckery giving him plenty amo...he could a did a double or even triple lp with the shit he prob has on the shelf jus waiting
There wasn’t a single time the old Em voice came up and it sounded glitchy idk what you’re hearing maybe it’s your head phones or whatever your playing it on cause it all sounds clear to me lol
Yeah, sounds like a real voice to me. I feel like he just tweaked it to make it a little higher pitched, or he just did that while recording. The man does have vocal control.
Best album is a bit too far ngl but it’s definitely in the convo. I put it above MMLP 2 and everything else after. Just behind relapse and recovery at the moment.
It will be amazing if you will do an update. There are so many reactions and reviews from the time it was released, but it is hard to find reviews of people that listened for a longer time
I think what em used was rapping the song himself and the inserting ai voice changing software over it. I love this album so much. Especially the first half haha. Gonna listen to it backwards next.
I understand your point with the mood but I think it was like slim shady makes you laugh Eminem makes you think and Marshall Mather’s make you cry type of vibe over the whole album
I haven't heard anything about AI in the news with his new album. It may be the case. I haven't listened to it all gonna chew on this one a little. Sat through the first half almost and listened to it on apple and turned TH-cam on each song for the comments. When I popped in the album I remembered that old Jay Z bar, "Do you actually listen to music, or just skim through it?". To be honest I have been there these last few years. This one seemed important and it didn't disappoint so far! Thanks for your video and keep up the grind homie!
What I heard was “Brand New Dance” was the song “Christopher Reeves” that was originally slated for Encore as track 7 but was dropped from the album due to Reeves unfortunate passing. Eminem was never a hater of Reeves or his estate, he idolized him. So out of respect he dropped the song from the album and used it on this one. At least that’s the rumor going around
This album was a roller coaster of emotions. I wasn’t expecting Temporary and Somebody Save Me but it was great. I didnt really hear the glitches on the slim shady AI but listening back I definitely can hear it a bit (which is fine). I was expecting more slim shady type songs on the album as well, but i think overall i would rate the entire album an 8/10. Its just the inconsistency of the emotional song, and then back to a regular eminem song, then a skit, then another emotional song. I think that could have been laid out better on the album. Great album.
U caught a few of those encode moments too huh lol. Idk a lot of things I liked but a lot I didn't but different reasons than normally. Oh there's 2 bonus tracks too if u didn't hear them 1 with 2chainz...
I believe the story of the album ends at Guilty Conscience 2 with him killing Slim Shady, and after that it's just Eminem in the later songs, talking about the random stuff he wants to.
I wouldn't say random stuff. "Head Honcho" is Eminem passing the torch to the new generation. "Temporary" discusses the death, not of his alter ego, but himself, when the day comes. "Bad One" talks about the relationship he has had with his alter ego and its function and effect that it had on his career. His verse on "Tobey" is basically the MC behind the persona, arriving in the present and giving us a status quo. The title "Tobey" can maybe also be put into contrast to "Venom" from Kamikaze. Tobey - Marshall Venom - Slim Shady And Somebody Save Me is the counterpart to Arose, where he gives us an insight into the reason why he had put Shady to rest, by giving us a look into the Shady time-line where he fully embraced his old persona. Providing us with the motive behind the death of Slim Shady. I think it's a really bittersweet send-off for Shady, since it makes us understand that, even though we always yearn for Shady, there's a reason things have changed, as Shady would have left behind a whole lot of pain and regret in the life of Eminem and his loved ones. So we're better off for how things played out in our time-line. It leaves a taste of "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened". So even though the last third of the album is not as theatric as the rest, I don't think it's random stuff but instead all the subjects that surround the themes of the album. Death, Slim Shady, and what remains without him.
Solid project all the way through overall. I don't agree with a lot of the critiquing I see on many channels. I still think Tobey doesn't fit the project mainly because of the features. Somebody save me is a bit redundant to castle/arose for an ending and for that type of ending I prefer castle/arose but I do like the Jelly Roll feature.
