I stumbled across this video by accident. I've been out of dental school for 40+ years... the SAME people are still there.
I have a guy in my class of 300 students that is the social media butterfly of our Pharmacy Faculty.
Everybody knows him and has him as a friend on FB. He even knows the names of people that never talked to him. And he tries to help everybody by posting some of his notes online.

In my psychology class i was the hand god i always left early but still got good grades and it all went down hill when i realised i had to do another day of it after the first day of college

Running out of teeth in dental school is when you don’t have extracted teeth to practice for example root canals on. These students in theory should have pretty good teeth
Dear Anthony, I have been in dental sales for over twenty years and I have always asked the same question. There are very few Black/African American/BetterTanned Dentist, Hygienist, assitants and even sales people. I think they just apply. Who knows...

Does it matter what undergrad you go to in order to be accepted to dental school? If the GPA and DAT scores are great then does the "name" of the undergrad matter? And if it does, how much?
I'd say that it probably depends on the dental school. Each school will weigh each of those factors differently. OU, for instance, weighs about 50% on interviews/shadowing/experience and the rest on GPA and DAT scores. Dental schools do look at what undergrad you attended and what degree you earned. I'd like to think that dental schools would take into consideration that a 4.0 GPA in an easy degree/program would not be the same as a 4.0 in a difficult degree/program. Wherever you went to college and whatever degree you pursued, I think the most important thing to do is be able to explain why you chose that path and what led you to dentistry.

I hate the term "gunner" 😑 never even heard of that damn term til i got to grad school. I'd say dental school's mostly full of anxious people who always self deprecate themselves, in the preclinic especially, and are always down to drink. At least in my school, there's a lot of party people.

Hi there! I ended up getting Designs for Vision 2.5X. I really enjoy the sturdy frames as well as the 2.5X magnification. Personally, I probably wouldn't want to go past 3X, because things can get a little more disorienting...but that's just my opinion. I've heard good things about orascoptic (as well as their lights), so I don't think you can go wrong with them.

stupid question but what if you have tattoos? is it a bad impression when interviewing for a dental school?
It probably depends on who is interviewing you... I know a few people in dental school with tattoos, but they generally cover them up when possible. I would probably guess that most health care places encourage their workers to not have large tattoos showing when treating patients. So you might consider covering up large tattoos not only during interviews but also any time you are with patients...
