    Awesome video! I used to think bodybuilding = strict dieting and it really discouraged me at times. I love the fact that about year ago I discovered your channel and it completely changed my perception about diet. It’s amazing how many people are missing out and that don’t know how easy it can be to stay within your daily calories and even be on a deficit with high volume low calorie dense foods. Love the content!

    Will, I think what you said at the end was great advise. I took one of your beginner plans you shared in a past video and I changed it to fit my needs. I changed alot of the movements to dumbbell movement because the barbell hurt my shoulder. Love your content and I always learn something. Keep it coming.

    I know it’s a ‘cheap’ program, but I’m shocked that out of all the questions, do you have any underlying medical issues wasn’t there- imagine wanting to lose weight and being told by some dude online to do a 30 min HIIT but this person has heart issues and doesn’t know the dangers of doing that type of workout or questions about diet preferences- eg vegan/veggie, lactose intolerant, diabetic etc

      My thought too. I’m 39 with a rare heart disease and defibrillator pacemaker. 5’5 140 pounds back in gym for first time in 14 years for last 8 weeks. I don’t have limitations anymore but it might be something a trainer would like to know.

      When I was in university I had a mini fridge in my dorm where I kept Greek yogurt, Kefir, apples, carrots, etc. I also ate a lot of popcorn. It’s definitely tough when you aren’t necessarily in control of your food options (dining hall food, etc.)

    Your humor is great but I think it's your little nuggets of wisdom that I appreciate the most. Maintaining a weekly deficit, not a daily deficit, for example. Another example from this video:
    (Paraphrasing) We count calories so we don't have to stick to a meal plan
    I find this insightful because many beginners to calorie counting tend to associate it with eliminating tasty foods. But with experience, calorie counting allows no restriction.

    Hey Will, there is a great website called Dietarize that can help you with your diet. To be honest, it is not as personalized as if it would be in case it's created by a nutritionist or personal trainer. If I were a beginner with a tight budget, I would buy this mostly because it is not expensive and gives you a good understanding of proper meal planning.

Dietarize is not only a diet planning tool, but also something that will make you look at your diet from a different perspective in the future.     I’ve done online coaching for friends and a few clients before. I always asked their skill level in weight room and if they ever played sports or what a typical activity level they are at on a daily basis. Then where they will workout and what they have access to. I actually write up a specific workout for their goal with the equipment they can use. Kinda crazy I asked more questions for less money than the pros

    Will say I’ve def learned some tricks from your videos. There was that leg day you did with an ifbb pro not to long ago where he started with the laying leg curl and his reasoning was to warm up the knees before squats and leg press. I started doing that religiously on my leg day and I haven’t had any issues with my knees since.

    Maybe I’m in the minority but I have no issue eating mostly beans and rice. I imagine I’d be fine eating chicken and rice as well assuming the chicken is seasoned, I rarely eat chicken now but I still enjoy the taste. Maybe that’s just because my mindset is different in that I’m more worried about being as healthy as reasonably possible (and the fact it’s way cheaper) instead of if I can be relatively healthy with more tasty/different food (the natural flavor of beans is pretty solid to me though). I don’t eat the same exact food for months on end but I am pretty good at sticking to it 95% of the time

    I feel like this video perfectly demonstrates buying a program vs hiring a coach. As you explained, with a program and no direct contact with the trainer it’s very limited on creativity and being customizable, although having different variations or substitutes for stuff would be nice on a program like these

    Just wondering how you felt after drinkingthe protein shakes/ “eating” the nuts as compared to the foods you normally eat? Did you feel any less satiated? Any cravings?

      Well at the end of the video he talked about how it was almost like a fake 2600 calories and that it felt like 1500 Calories since he doesn’t like drinking his calories nor wasting them on nuts.

    I liked the fact that the diet contained simple ingredients you can buy everywhere. Often the diets american fitness people show contains products we can't get in Scandinavia. Things like zero fat cheese, pb2 and low calorie tortillas is hard to find

    I don't really think it matters if a fitness youtuber is natty or not. The weights aren't going to lift themselves and they still have to have discipline in their routine and diet. Wish the wasn't so much stigma so fitness personalities could be honest about if they are pinning or not.

    Love this video and the message of internet personal trainers being mostly scams. Coach Greg does the personalization right, yes it’s expensive but it works.
