Well, I'm guessing they were given currency which can be exchanged for goods and services. Seriously, though, they've done videos for other channels than their own before. I believe they did a few for the 100-year anniversary of college football season.
Yeah Texas just didn’t realize Mizzou existed back then. Like that classmate that gives you a hug meeting you in wild but you have no idea who they are.
This is the first time I've ever seen Bryan mentioned before. It's always been just about College Station, but not anymore... But yeah, the reaction is the same
When you go to Norman drive like 15 MIinutes North after the game to Bricktown in downtown OKC. It's the tourist trap with the river walk and all the bars that the tourists like.
WHAT?!?! You seriously forgot to mention Campus Corner? It's literally the center for campus night life, plus during regular hours it's full of awesome restaurants and shops. It's LITERALLY across the street from main campus, if you have a class on the north oval you cross the street for a bite or if it's late enough a pint.
Mizzou and A&M were once in the Big 12, plus all the Aggie history from the Southwest Conference. Why wasn't that brought up? That would have made it so much better.
it is but Bryan is literally across the street. The towns are right ontop of each other and the university is on the north end of CS. And College Station is super spread out with no real "center" outside of the Uni. Bryan has a true downtown and is the go to for a lot of locals in town.
While most of campus is in College Station, part of the university is in Bryan. I've been in BCS for over a dozen years now, and I can count the College Station natives I've met on one hand. Bryan natives are proud of their hometown!
Bryan was the town when A&M (the Agricultural & Mechanical College of Texas) was opened in 1876. Bryan was still very much a frontier town, so to insulate the students from the bad influences (liquor, gambling, women, etc.) the campus was placed on a prairie about five miles away. Over time, Bryan grew, but so did the area around the campus that wasn’t in the Bryan city limits. In 1937, Bryan was considering annexing land near campus. The residents around the campus quickly put together a petition, had a vote, and incorporated as College Station. The name comes from the train station near campus. A sign was traditionally on the side of a train station to tell you what town you were arriving in, but with no town, the sign simply read, “COLLEGE”, hence the name of the city.
Also in Athens Georgia: State Botanical Garden of Georgia and the Georgia Museum of Art! But yes, downtown Athens is lovely. And the Arch is.... also Downtown. Grab a pint at Creature Comforts Brewery then catch a show at the Georgia Theater.
as a Norman resident please do not ever plan a trip to lake thunderbird park lmao. Oklahoma has dozens of beautiful lakes but that is definitely not one of them
Austin is NOT a "cowboy" town and Aggies definitely DON'T ooh and aah over the big bass drum. The Fightin' Texas Aggie Band is by far superior to tu's.
I feel like college towns shouldn’t count if they are in big cities because then that’s not a college thing that’s a big city thing, so Nashville or Austin should he more focused on the college districts of the towns
@geisaune793 You outlined the problem. It's the south, not the west. Californians leave their state only to try to turn their new location into California. Austin and Nashville are perfect examples of this. I lived in California from 2020-2023. I'm originally from Utah. I'm now in Florida. I've seen it. It's been happening to Utah since the 90s. I'm now seeing it in Florida.
@@domin8ss not the exact problem I was talking about, I’m just annoyed of college fans talking about how their city is the best college city and they live in like a top 10 city in the us. @nauticalfiction4795 From my position, you and I are talking about the same thing. I remember when Salt Lake City was small, just like when Footloose with Kevin Bacon was filmed. I've been to the campus of Texas A&M and seen the towns of Bryan, Hearn, etc. As things have grown population-wise, the things the towns are known for spread out geographically. It's frustrating to those who remember what was and see how it's been ruined by what is.
Nothing about the city of Baton Rouge. Then again, downtown Baton Rouge is quite dangerous, and the bars around campus are seedy. Could have at least mentioned New Orleans is only 90 minutes away.
Only people from those states would disagree. You’re right. Except maybe Texas is the south but it’s kind of its own thing and no one outside of Texans like Texas.
The irony of this video trying to explain what North gate is....to UT. Considering we own TAMU and have visitation rights once a year.... Your assume we knew.
If Mizzou sat down at a table with Oklahoma and Texas blood would be shed.
Indeed it would.
nah they all ditched and ruined their old conference so they could agree on that at least

Absolutely!
