That still leaves a spot for a one loss SEC team...but realistically its either Georgia or Alabama at this point...and only one of them. That's not an insult We are quite aware of the BIG12's status, but we've been planning the move to the SEC for a couple of years now. We are only members because we are contractually obligated to remain, but one of us will take the trophy with us as we leave. We won't even look fondly into the rear view mirror. That, I hope, angers the rest of the BIG12 even more.
Every year Mizzou has a decent year, all we hear is "the SEC is down this year." Christ sakes, are these not 5 and 4 star recruits? Top recruiting classes? Give the kids working hard a little credit.

1. There are more complete teams outside the SEC. Washington comes to mind. 2. MIZ 3. ZOU 4. 6-1 and one Brady cook interception away from keeping it real with LSU. Up by double digits with 5 minutes left was a bummer to lose that one. But looking at where we were a year ago, I’ll take watching Mizzou over a boring Florida Alabama or even Georgia game.
@@TijuanabillEvery year is the year we’re going to turn it around, until it isn’t. TBH, you become numb to it after a while. So when we actually have some success it feels like the season had a bit of meaning. Being born and raised in Missouri it would be very weird to just start rooting for another team because they were successful, so we support our team and believe we can succeed. With that being said, I’m excited about our team this year and the fact that we’re already bowl eligible with half the season left to go.
I wasn’t even born in Missouri, but I moved there in 8th grade to CoMo, and that was about the time I started paying attention to college sports. I think we have actually turned things around very well in both basketball and football, given the bad results from both home grown coaches in both sports and guys brought in like Cuonzo Martin who was only brought in to recruit the Porter family. But I get what you’re saying, Missouri seems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, last season was a prime example in football. 3 games lost in the final possession. Drink has done well surprisingly with recruiting, and I’m really hoping Burden does not transfer after this season. We lost a ton this off-season, but we are slowly getting back the recruiting base in MO we had under Pinkel. Sad to lose Cook after this year, hope he gets drafted (should be round 3-6 predicted)! Anyways, can’t lose a trap game against those jerks from SC, they crushed our spirits a few times during the recent “glory days” when we had a toddler kicking our field goals lol. MIZ

As an Aggie alum: 1. Knock is squarely on point. 2. Interested to find out who the next coach will be. If (IF) recent history holds (thinking Sherman to Sumlin but even Sumlin to Fisher), the incoming coach should have a couple of seasons of "Whoa! Has this team turned the corner?!!?". No, but those couple of seasons will be fun.

@@tren133 - And Washington isn't even elite. All of their blowout wins came against teams that have 1 to 2 wins. They beat a 3 loss AZ team by 10 and Oregon by 3. On the flipside, Oregon blew out all the teams they played that have a losing record as well, and almost lost to a garbage CU team.

We are quite aware of the BIG12's status, but we've been planning the move to the SEC for a couple of years now. We are only members because we are contractually obligated to remain, but one of us will take the trophy with us as we leave. We won't even look fondly into the rear view mirror.

@@TijuanabillEvery year is the year we’re going to turn it around, until it isn’t. TBH, you become numb to it after a while. So when we actually have some success it feels like the season had a bit of meaning.
Being born and raised in Missouri it would be very weird to just start rooting for another team because they were successful, so we support our team and believe we can succeed.
With that being said, I’m excited about our team this year and the fact that we’re already bowl eligible with half the season left to go.
I wasn’t even born in Missouri, but I moved there in 8th grade to CoMo, and that was about the time I started paying attention to college sports.
I think we have actually turned things around very well in both basketball and football, given the bad results from both home grown coaches in both sports and guys brought in like Cuonzo Martin who was only brought in to recruit the Porter family.
But I get what you’re saying, Missouri seems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, last season was a prime example in football. 3 games lost in the final possession. Drink has done well surprisingly with recruiting, and I’m really hoping Burden does not transfer after this season. We lost a ton this off-season, but we are slowly getting back the recruiting base in MO we had under Pinkel. Sad to lose Cook after this year, hope he gets drafted (should be round 3-6 predicted)!
Anyways, can’t lose a trap game against those jerks from SC, they crushed our spirits a few times during the recent “glory days” when we had a toddler kicking our field goals lol.

2. Interested to find out who the next coach will be. If (IF) recent history holds (thinking Sherman to Sumlin but even Sumlin to Fisher), the incoming coach should have a couple of seasons of "Whoa! Has this team turned the corner?!!?". No, but those couple of seasons will be fun.
