    Love this! I like the natural color of the drinkable pumpkin juice. Now to try and find a concoction of colors that I can achieve that with the prop version 🙂. Love your videos!

    Here the measures in metric system:
    Pumpkin puree, if you can get it 425g
    or make your own with a small hokkaido by cooking it with a little water till soft
    Cider 711 ml
    Apricot juice 170 ml
    Or make puree out of canned fruids
    (I would say stick to apricot, its the original ingredient)
    Sugar 115g
    Pumpkin spice 2 TL
    Vanilla extract 1 TL (or use a few drops of flavor for baking)

    One question... how long can the alcohol/paint liquid last until you have to replace or dispose the liquid?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Makiko Watanabe I have had several of my alcohol potions for years; the only thing you may need to do is add more alcohol if you get some evaporation. The amount of evaporation (if any) usually depends on how it is kept, if it’s in a sunny or hot room it will evaporate quicker. I hope that helps, thanks for watching! 😊💜

    Would be cool if in the real juice you added edible gold glitter into it after it cooled down, to get the same swirly glitter effect.

    Did you boil the drinkable one to seal it fully after filling it? Jc? And how long will it last?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      PickaDillie I didn’t, because it will last about a week or two.

    What is the difference between the pie filling and the puree?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tanja Schirmer Pumpkin puree, just like it sounds, only contains pureed pumpkin flesh. Pumpkin pie filling, on the other hand usually contains cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice, nutmeg and sugar in addition to the puree.

    • @Ferulakaty
      @Ferulakaty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CookingandCraftChick ah I see...but couldn't I then use pie filling and leave out the pumpkin spice or just add little spice in case it doesn't taste intense enough? Is there anything what speaks against it?
      I ask because in Germany we don't really have canned pumpkin puree but I can get the filling...otherwise I d have to mash a whole pumpkin and I dont know what to do with the leftover flesh (probably make soup) but if I could use the filling it would be way easier, canned filling here is quite expensive though

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanja Schirmer you should be able to use it just taste it and add spices accordingly 😉 double check the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t have sugar too, if it does you may want to use less sugar so it’s not too sweet. I hope that helps thanks for watching!

    • @Ferulakaty
      @Ferulakaty 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I made the juice now with a tiny hokkaido, was surprisingly little to less puree in the end but didn't matter, the juice tastes just like the original I had at the universal studios in osaka
      Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! :)

    Hey mrs. Cooking snd craft ;) can you tell me how much money you had to spent for all your hp potions?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s kind of a tough one to answer 🤔 most of the bottles were between $1-$4 (most were $1-$2) some of the bottles were recycled from other things like liquor bottles, perfume bottles, spice jars etc. most potions that require gel only use part of a bottle; so you can get multiple potions out of a bottle. I get the gel as well as a lot of my other ingredients at the $1 store. I buy my rubbing alcohol at Costco in bulk, and that lasts for several potions too. I buy glitter etc when it’s on sale or when I have a coupon for Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc. Jute twine and black cording are cheap and I still haven’t gone through a whole roll yet. I am still on my first pack of sticker paper, so that’s a savings too. I frequent the clearance rack and buy bottles etc and stock up for future projects. I think if I had to try to put a total on all of them I’d say probably around $100??? It may be less than that 😕 like I said it’s hard to tell because some items like moss, ribbon, fake leaves, bubble wrap etc I already had. I hope this helps, thanks for watching! ⚡️

      Cooking and Craft Chick wow first big thanks to you mrs. Cooking for your long answer. Ok sounds really ok in my opinion cause i am a really big potterhead and i prefer selfmade things from hp. They are special and not everyone have them so i decided to make a lot of my hp stuff by my own. One day i thought since first time i saw a hp movie i was fascinated from the potions. So i search on yt potions tuturial and yours definitely where the best. So big shoutout to you and thank you for your videos. And yeah i would like to make a lot of your potions but if i calculate everything together i have to pay about 200 - 250 €. A lot of the stuff i have to buy on amazon. The best greets from Austria and a big fan of yours ;)

      Commonpigtail yes it’ll just be a little thinner than the cider but should taste similar. I hope that helps thanks for watching!
