    I make these kind of props all the time, I have a whole apothecary, Hair gel is awesome but to get it into the bottles easily use a pastry bag and small tip or simply use a ziplock bag with a small hole cut at one corner, way easier and no mess.

      Shane Kuchler yeah I’ve been using a pastry bag in my newer videos, someone suggested it and I was like duh why didn’t I think of that! Thank you for the suggestion and thanks for watching!

      I noticed after I posted that tip, the person right under me said the same thing, I don't know how to delete so I hope I don't look too much like a dork. Oh and by the way if you have problems with the gel drying out over the years use hot glue to seal the cap or cork, you can even carve a cool looking top/stopper out of hot glue sticks. glad I found your cool channel

    Flower gel beads will work to. You can still color them as well.
    Dollar store has them..they expand..

    have you ever thought about using a Ziploc bag or a piping bag when you are adding your gel into the bottles? you could mix the gel and food coloring in the bag, snip a little corner off the end of the bag and just squeeze the gel into the bottle. it might be a little easier on you then having to poke all that gel thru with the skewer.. I absolutely LOVE all your potion ideas!

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Nancy Nichols no I had never thought of that 🤔 I don't know why, I feel like I use piping bags for EVERYTHING! Great suggestion!!!! I will be putting your idea to work in the next "gel" video I do. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!! 😄

    since its been a few years since this was made. I was wondering how long did this potion last? was there ever any discoloration or anything that changed to where the potion would need to be remade? Not sure if gel has a expiration date of sorts.

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I got a very tiny bit of evaporation but that is it. 😊

    • @CookingandCraftChick

      A Geeky box of Pocky you can, however it is a thinner consistency and all of the beads will be in the bottom. The styling gel is the only thing I’ve found that has the suspension quality it has. I hope that helps; thanks for watching!!

    wait, what was the point of the funnel in the beginning if you put the slime directly into the bottle anyway? did i miss something?

    • @CookingandCraftChick
      @CookingandCraftChick  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I did use the funnel initially and said forget it and just poured it in; however I found that if you load your gel into a piping bag or Ziploc bag and snip the corner that it’s much easier to squeeze the gel into the bottle. Thanks for watching!
