My husband worked on the Navajo Reservation for at least 25 year, based out of Page, AZ. He loved every minute of it ! I often went with him. It’s so beautiful out there! We used to eat at the restaurant in Tsegi but it burned down several years ago. I do make fry bread not so well as you, but Blue Bird flour is the best for me for all baking. Please keep up the good work! My husband worked for IBM.😊
@tonychelewski Good morning Tony, it was wonderful to hear from you. Does IBM still exist? So many tech companies now. But back them when you said you worked for IBM you had clout, you were a techi, you were revered, and very bright & smart people worked there. That was our outlook. Happy you were able to travel with him and enjoying Navajo food. Then to hear you make frybread is awesome. I might know where you mean and I should but when it is economically unfeasible to work in the rez, business thrives outside the rez. I am so thankful for a spirit & desire to work for a degree at the university as I was able to graduate thru a horrific divorce, nursing a baby, no car, walking back n forth, taking my children to & from school, graduating alone but bought myself a beautiful silver bracelet I wrapped up for myself. The evening when I got my diploma I stood outside & it was exciting as I loved that bracelet & finally got to put it on as a gift to myself & it meant I accomplished what few women have done suckling a baby, getting pneumonia over again from the stresses, no child support, going to court with an assigned atty who cared for nothing, but thru the trials I am thankful I accomplished goodness. I say this because your husband had to have been an amazing man to be hired by IBM. My thoughts. I thank you for allowing me to share & appreciate your comment that always touches a chord within me. Continue to be wonderful. Navajo Grandma
How amazing that spam is a food that has been around forever. Some folks say, "if you only knew how it was made." Ha, I just ignore them because I just want to enjoy it and not listen to a spoil sport. Its always been a family favorite and has never let us down taste wise. What memories you just reminded me of as my dad did that too. Gee you are still a young buck Yellowdeer 7. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Love watching your videos. I'm not Navajo, but Cherokee/Irish. I vaguely remember my great grandma cooking in her tiny 1 room shack in the hills of Tennessee. No running water, no electricity. She never taught her children the Keetowah ways because back then if the children could pass as white they could go to the local school and get a better education than the "Indian" school. I wish she had secretly taught them. I feel like I have no roots.
No problem, now it is up to you to create a school and learn and remember what you may have learned, start a school and teach. I promise you will be surprised what you know and remember. Learn and bring your ancestral blessing back. You can I know. Look what grandma is doing?? Hugs always. Navajo Grandma
I have never seen your channel before. it just popped up. My mom used to make this when I was young (in the 60's) except she baked it in the oven. Thank You for the memories. Blessings!
Oh yes, this bread can be made in the oven and like a biscuit. I have to show that as well with a breakfast and Navajo Tea. You are wonderful to remember so much. Hugs galore. Navajo Grandma
The best review is from a grandchild. Love you so much Grandma! You ease the pains in my heart and spirit. You are always there when I need you most. 💜
Angel you almost made me cry. Whatever you are going through, May God bless you, comfort you, bring you joy, a smile, a happy heart, complete healing from whatever ails you, and that you are renewed. My grandson who always volunteers to be my taste tester doesn't realize it but he too heals my spirit. Hugs always to you. Love you. Navajo Grandma
@denisseavila9083 Goodness I found this comment and again my heart almost cried. Hadn't heard from you so long. As i have been gone a long while too. I pray your life is safe, protected and that you are loved by all. As you know Navajo Grandma loves you so. Remember you are needed and wanted. Who cares if this is online, we are human with the needs to be loved and needed that we matter. Thank you always for your kind words that help heal my hear my grandson. Tell me what you have been up to in Tuba. Hugs with loves. Navajo Grandma
My dear Jimi is a doll!! His father raised him to be a golfer since he could walk. Him and his sister were on t he golf team, actually he still is and she graduated. He is an angel and dad makes sure he stays wonderful. He is a snowboarder and going thru teenage years. Girls die at his feet and he smiles but doesn't even have a mind to date and wants to continue his sports and schooling. He wants to marry a good righteous woman he says. When its time. He and his sister use to go to Prom together with my son driving like 5 miles behind them hoping they didn't know. I know how he feels. Try 7 and 5 of them being teenagers and all just gorgeous looking. But thank goodness they were humble. I had to tell you a little about him. Thank you for your kind compliments and wonderful comment. Navajo Grandma
He is so funny when he says, "I was driving down the street and smelled great food and I knew Grandma was here. He runs in and asks what's cooking. Never mind grandma I am your taster and I am ready to eat!! He has a hole in his 6.3 tall body and legs. His mother is a vegan and he eats both. Mostly grandma's cooking its never hamburgers but good healthy comfort food he loves. 10/4
Hello Grandma Navajo, Thank you for this recipe, it looks delicious! Your grandson must be so happy to have you for his Grandma. Blessings to you and your family. Sending you hugs too 😊 Grace from Canada ❤❤❤
HELLOOO CANADA!! Thank you for your lovely comment. My grandson is amazing and loves to eat. He has also grown taller, he is almost 7 feet tall. I told him, no more frybread or spam & potatoes. He laughed. Next time he took a bigger helping LOL!! Fun comments. Hugs from Navajo Grandma and you are as close as a hug with loves. Remember grandma loves you and values you. Pray always my little one. Enjoy.
I love watching you cook. That looks really good. Your grandson is adorable. Are you ok? Your voice sounds hoarse. Be well and safe Grandma. Thank you.☮️💞🎶
Marcey, this video was from 9 months ago and yes I had a little horsey stuff in my throat back then. I am well. This is a filler as I was gone to Colorado and for some reason my rug video walked off. But thanks for the comments, my grandson saved the day. I loved hearing his comment. He is always my taste tester. Haha. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Hi my dear grandchild. We will be making some foods again. Mind you our Dine' diet is limited as the foods were limited meats, our ancestors were vegan as the white folks say. We subsisted on vegetation, squash, pinion, fruit, etc. The winter time was when an Elk was killed, everyone dried the meat for soups, there were grinding of corn for flour bread. There were puddings made from blue corn and different fruit seeds etc. But we will explore together. Love you so. Hug your tummy. Navajo Grandma
He is the one who stole the show, what do you mean? Hahaha. He is a definite cutie. He loves being grandma's taster. Thank you for taking the time to watch Navajo Grandma and her cooking. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Yes, his review made me chuckle but I know he always volunteers to be grandmas taste tester. He is in 10th grade, 6’7”, his uncles tell him to stop eating gma’s cooking or he will become 7 ft tall. And since this video is 9 mths old, he has grown another 7 inches. Sheesh. Navajo Grandma
Dear Grandma you won't believe it but im frying potatoes and onions right now . Then I look on youtube and see that you are cooking this wonderful recipe with spam.. Oh my I may have to run to the store and get a can of spam! I really like it, but its been a long time since I've had any. Oh yummy 😋 with the tortillas I must try it this way! Love you Grandma i think of you everyday and look forward to your videos! I watch them over and over again !!😊🙋♀️🏵🌹💕💕
One of grandma's precious cheerleaders!!! My dearest Susan!! You are so darling to share with grandma what you do and how you watch and hoping the upcoming videos are helpful and an adventure for you too. This is a 9 month old video so its my grandson who made it a hit. Navajo Grandma

Hey Chila Jeffrey, thank you sweetheart, this is a 9 month old video but this type of food never grows old. It just gets better with age right? Glad you took the time to salivate and watch so you can try it. Love you. Navajo Grandma
Love on a plate. My dad made a similar dish on Sundays adding green pepper and topped with an egg. Beautiful family and as is common grandson sprout tall like cornstalks. A fine young gentleman. Such recipes create memories that live on in our hearts.
YUM is the word. This is a universal dish every part of the word enjoys. Yes, our taste buds create memories like our smell!! Nothing like mom or grandma's food!! Comfort food galore! Love how you connect to your senses so perfectly. Navajo Grandma
Food historians will connect it to World War 2 and rationing. Potatoes were planted in many victory gardens. Collectively Americans were pulling together for a war effort. (Example: The legendary and heroic Navajo Wind talkers who played a decisive role in winning the war.) Go to Hawaii Grandma there are many natives who have Spam recipes galore! @@NavajoGrandma
Thank you so much 🤗 Yes and don't you love the teenagers who are starvin marvin enough to taste and enjoy with such kind words. Thank you for watching. Love you. Navajo Grandma
Your kids and grandkids are so blessed to have you and all the good things you do I don't have grandparents so your the best to the real I'm 1/16 Apache and know very little bout my ppl but watchin you makes me feel like I have a family that's Indian and not just my German Scottish Irish thank you so very much for all you do love ya Navajo Grandma
Buddy, what a wonderful comment, I know what it is like to not have grandparents around now, but when we revive their teachings and culture, our love, and teachings and remembrance brings to the surface how close our grandparents really are. The spirit world is here on this earth just in another realm, talk to them, pray and ask them for their help to support, to comfort you as you did when they were next to you. It sounds nuts to people, but we Native Americans know more about spirituality in its truth than anyone. Its our spirits that have a resiliency against the wrong we see being displayed in America today. It is our people who will stand up and take up our land of America again eventually. It is a prophecy. Not in a way to destroy humanity but to cleanse this God given land in preparation for peace to come under a true God our ancestors learned from and loved. This is truth. That is what real life is about. Grandma always prays for each of you for protection from evil, sickness and death. You are needed now and for as long as is possible. Hugs galore. Navajo Grandma
Same! I am only about 1/16 Apache( with other tribes in cali and oregon.) I am probably Mescalero. The Office was burned down years ago and my great grandma left new mexico as a kid and doesn't remember anything. Navajo Grandma has made me feel more connected to my ancestry, even though I am not Dine'. I have been trying to learn Mescalero Apache language. Western Hello is Da'gotee and Eastern is Da'ahnzho.
@@mar79921 Grandma is so proud of you and your efforts to regain your culture and remember to pray for that confidence, understanding and being to retain so that you can be an example and a blessing to your tribe. Love you. Navajo Grandma
Thank YOU, 'Grandma'! It was fun to watch you cook again! I am going to try this with cheese for dinner tonight! I hope you are well and I am grateful for you and your lessons!
Sweet one, grandma made this video 9 months ago. I was in Colorado shearing sheep, funny video I think, while gone my rug video walked off. So this is a filler that I am happy folks are enjoying and yes, try it and it is good. My grandson made the video even better than grandma's cooking. Haha. Love you always. Grandma
Gonna make this recipe this week! Thank you for being a grandma to a white girl from Ohio... I miss my own grandma and her teaching me how to cook and garden. Thank you so very much for sharing your culture and heritage with the world. We are better for it Grandmother.
You make your grandma proud with your kind heart and care. It has become a greater pleasure to serve each of you with what I have learned from my Nali and Bizhi (Paternal grandparents and passing it along to whomever realizes these are important lessons) Its not Hollywood, but plain old grandma. Love you. Navajo Grandma
If the grandson approves it. It’s got to be good. I’m half Navajo but I was not really taught my language. My dad was white. My mom is going to like that I learned this word. We just always called it dry bread. ❤
I am happy to learn about you and that you are part Dine'. That is good. I hope you learn your clan plus keep learning few words or learn there is a difference in saying a loaf of bread in Navajo versus frybread and navajo tortillas. All of these are in Navajo Grandma's videos. I made them. I know. LOL! Navajo Grandma
MMMMMMM that's looks sooooooooooo good my mouth is watery those spam and potatoes will go with fresh tortillas, fry bread, and oven bread with green chili paste MMMM Grandma your making me hungry. Thank you may the great spirit bless you and your family and the path that you drive and walk on,thank you from Jemez Pueblo New Mexico
Eugene you said this all so well even I am getting hungry myself. This video was done 9 months ago but glad you all liked it. Its a fill in for the sheep shearing and rug video coming up. Love you. I bought some Jemez cookies and bread down in Farmington. MMM can't wait to dip that into my green chili stew I make tomorrow. Yum. Navajo Grandma
Oh my goodness Grandma! That looks delicious! My mom would make that for us on Sunday's ❤ I always get just hungry watching your recipes 🤗 Sending you love and blessings on this Sunday evening ❤❤❤❤
You have the cutest face I love to see and your kind comments. I am grateful for you watching grandma's videos even though this is 9months old the food never grows old. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Thank you Jennifer. This is such an old video that was actually a filler that was suppose to be a rug video but it was misplaced while I was gone shearing in Colorado. I am surprised to see how many have viewed it and have enjoyed watching and salivating, or remembering their family making this in every culture. Tell your children hello and thank you from Navajo Grandma for watching. Hugs to you all. Navajo Grandma
Wonderful to know and now you have the recipe and you know exactly what to do, Just make it and enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal. So delicious. COMFORT FOOD!!! Hugs from Navajo Grandma
Aweee he’s adorable! N that looked sooo good. I’m full blooded Sicilian American but my kids are French Canadian n Native American and I love ur channel cause I have raised them with my food n my heritage but I wanted to teach them some of there roots n u previde that. Thank you
I am glad to be of service helping your children learn their Dine’ teachings. I love providing the information by experience with teachings from my grandparents and parents. Navajo Grandma
Oh my goodness! Those look so yummy and I love Spam. Thank you for sharing your recipes with us. We are learning so much! Your grandson is super cute and he knows good food when he tries it. 😀❤
Thank you Laura, this was made 9 months ago and a video fill in and yes I had a cute taste tester didn't I. Like I said, let's be honest the rug video walked off somewhere while I was gone to Colorado for my sheep shearing adventure. Tomorrow you should see the video on my excursion. The rug video will be later. Then the wool processing. Love you. Navajo Grandma
I use the water trick. Grandson getting home made food from grandma? Of course he loves the food! The fact grandma made it makes it the tastiest. My grandma created a recipe called "grandpa's cookies" that were awesome. My grandma of course had to make sure that her helpers left some for grandpa.
One day soon TJ you get to show us that recipe and make it for us and share it with our channel family. We want to know who you are and what you want to show us. I can't wait. So get ready. I am warning all of you. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma I'm so sorry. I don't have that recipe. I'm trying to remember what she else made. I know that I have a couple of my mom's dessert breads.
Oh goodness Alice that sounds so good!! I think most folks love pico and what a wonderful taste that gives. Thank you for that tip. Wonderful!! Hugs. Navajo Grandma
I love your cooking videos, they bring back such happy memories of times I had cooking with my own grandmother ❤️ Also a ‘tip of the hat’ to your professional taste tester, he was wonderful!
Fact: Anything Navajo Grandma makes with love will be delicious! I’m glad you didn’t add salt to the potatoes. Even the low sodium Spam has enough salt for seasoning. And if you were to put ketchup or another sauce on it, that would also add some salt. I could see this also with peppers and/or onions, now I’m hungry 😅
I refuse to salt my food knowing even low sodium is hogwash. I know already any prepared meats are ravaged w sodium. Thank you for your awareness as it is wise. Stay healthy. Moderation in all things is true wisdom too. Hugs from Navajo Grandma
I buy this meal in window rock when I'm passing thru & find it a good tasty hefty breakfast meal that will last me all day. TY 4 this informative video. Will try & make this.
Yes you need to try your hand at it and yes it is delish!! Ask my grandson. LOL! This is a common comfort food and it is simple to make. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Nancy did you get my other answer as to how many potatoes to use. When there is gpa and I, then I use 3 medium potatoes. Now when there are several then you sit down and peel a lot. Sometimes I leave the skins on and just a preference. That is why I said, it is up to you. I hope you had a wonderful taste of our comfort food. Yum. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma I am responding again because I don't see the last one. Yes, I saw your answer after I made it. By God's grace I used 3 potatoes. 😆 I need to work on my Naneeskaadi. I made hockey pucks. The dogs loved the pucks, my family not so much. 😆 ahéheeʼ nitsaago so much for answering. You are a blessing to me! Much love, Nancy

been looking for something to make my mom bc she's been down and missing the rez (we live in Texas) so its nice to find something that could make her happy :)
Awwww what a wonderful child!! Moms are worthy of it all. Enjoy this with Mom and talk about happy times and memories, make her laugh, giggle and have her talk to you about everything, and LISTEN. Remember than write it down what you did and how it made you feel, what she felt and her memories when you actually LISTEN. That is the greatest medicine LISTENING. Amen. Navajo Grandma
He did save the day. This is a 9 month ago video filler as I was gone to Colorado for the sheep shearing and I told my grandson last night when I drove in, "Hey, more people talked about you than grandma's food." He laughed. He said, but grandma it was so good. I love him so. He has gotten so tall, and his uncles say, stop eating grandma's food, you are going to be 7 feet tall pretty soon. He is now 6'7". Only in 10th grade. Thank you for watching.
This sounds so yummy Navajo Grandma ;I'll need to practice the dough recipe .Sounds like a total winner recipe,so many ways to vary it.Your Family is Beauty Full, like you .Thank you so much for these wonderful videos!I'm in upstate New York;Albany area...Six Nation's Territory originally....my Maternal Grandfather carried some Tuscarora blood but the record is not clear. My Mom didn't tell us and she has crossed over.N8V people have held, through so much...love sent your way...
It is yummy to learn to make. Wow a Tuscarora woman. Chief Patterson gave us some awful grief when he was alive, as we tried recognizing the real beginnings of the Tuscarora's down in North Carolina. We traced the genealogies and Chief Blount's travels, from the beginning of first contact in North Carolina to present. Its the Lumbee's that lied and kept the Tuscarora's from Recognition of any sort along with Chief Patterson. I am glad that merry go round is over. Its sad regarding the hate one tribe has for another in the east there or for that fact any tribe that wants Recognition and pulled down by those who were Grandfathered into Recognition wherein they never had to prove their Recognition process. The hate continues to this day. Oh my these were part of our travels a while back. The North Carolina Tuscarora's were the ones who took over the BIA in Washington DC which the Lumbees now lie about and say they did it. Oh the history is awful and lied about there. I best stop talking about it because it was awful and glad we are no longer around that hate. The older Chiefs have died who we knew and sad they never got Recognition. Navajo Grandma
Oh my, now that is so good too. Well when you think about it, the ingredients have time to really come out and when you bite into day old, oh my, you just reminded me of something I hadn't thought of forever. Love it. Navajo Grandma
Like Grandma always says, "whatever grandma shows you, make it your way. It is up to you and however you like to eat food. But this is always "comfort food." Yum. Navajo Grandma
I think the entire world made and ate this. Those spam tin cans have made it all over the world and yes, it was a comfort food treat galore. Love and hugs. Navajo Grandma

@dalericketson6461 Well if you are the cook you deserve the applause!! Great job! A spam missionary!! It's a global comfort food. Every country has spam & delight eating it. LETS HOPE THE BIDEN ADMINISTRATION DOESNT POISON THIS COMFORT FOOD WITH THE FDA!! I tell you it is truly a Communist Plot that every food item has been recalled. COMMUNIST BREAD LINES FOR POWER & CONTROL! I remthe Mormon Church would tell their congregations one neiborhoods how to build food storage, can our own foods, freeze veggies, fruit for winter, buy red wheat grains in huge bags for grinding for flour, water storage etc.Their kids would help and most people mocked them. It was their prophecy in future what is happening right now would happen. To grow gardens, fruit trees, learn to rotate the canned foods, learn to cook & rely on ourselves. My Navajo parents listened, my Nali said, what these Ga'mali's are saying is pure truth! Told us the ancient story of Joseph being sold into Egypt the 7 years of plenty & 7 years drought. I almost fell off my chair as my dad said, these are stories handed down generation to generation, father to son, matching up the story of Joseph without even knowing it was to be in Bible form future tense from 600AD onward. When I recall the teachings it's awe inspiring. So THIS ALL CAME FROM BIDEN CRAZY, FDA, FOOD RECALLS TO YOU COOKING SPAM & POTATOES! LOL but true. Have a wonderful safe happy week. Hugs to your dear wife, tell her Navajo Grandma sends her hugs & loves & being kindly receptive to your cooking from Navajo Grandma. You are wonderful!!! May you walk the pollen road with your wife with peace, beauty, balance & harmony. Navajo Grandma

He will kiss your forehead for the wisdom you have given him, your cheeks for all the times you wiped his from tears, messy food or boyhood play dirty, and hug you for all the love, comfort, protection that came from your heart to his.
This reminds me fondly of growing up. My dad was a huge fan of cooking with spam, so spam (or hotdogs) with potatoes was a common meal! Going to have to try it wrapped up in náneeskaadi!
Lorraine it is delish and I usually use the low sodium spam but grabbed the wrong can. Oh well. Glad you like this video. This was done 9 months ago and glad you liked it. Its worth trying. Love you. Navajo Grandma

Hi Carina, like Grandma says, "make it your own and however you enjoy this. This is just a demonstration. It is tasty and wonderful!! Hugs. Navajo Grandma
when i was growing up it was fryed potatoes and spam no bread went with it,, grand ma would make this for me and her after every one left for the morning, i was smaller then the other boys so i wasnt allowed to go to work with them,, great video
Wonderful to hear your story. It is also not surprising how many folks had grown up on this and have had wonderful memories flash back and stories that they had forgotten have surfaced. Write yours down I think I have told you this before Yooper Man. Keep a record even if it is about food, spam and potatoes. Again, for posterity or not, you will one day read back what you wrote and it will bring a smile to your face and that you remembered your grandma and how she cooked. Our memories do not remain the same and it is good when you do this immediately. Wise counsel. Navajo Grandma
I really want to try cooking the fry bread you have made previously but I am going to try doing it a a tortilla first. It looks like good tucker. BTW your grandbaby who I am sure prefers to be called a young man, is very handsome and looks like a really nice proud young fella. His review made me laugh with such a smiling heart. Love your content.
Well Rhonda, I have the recipe on my Frybread video, its easy and a never fail. You will do a wonderful job. And yes, my grandson saved the day with his amazing taste testing review. He is my taste tester and everyone tells me to stop because he is growing taller and taller and taller everyday. He is 6 feet 7 or 9 inches now and he is only in 10th grade. He says, grandma its your fault cuz I love Naneeskadi and your cooking. Hahaha. Navajo Grandma

When my dad came back from WWll he often fed us Spam. Spam helped our troops win the war. I am 67 and still eat spam. Thanks Navajo Grandma.

It’s good if a young teenager thinks that it’s better than a hamburger. What a sweet grandson who loves his grandmother’s cooking.

"SUPER GOOD" BETTER THAN A 🍔EXCELLENT JOB NAVAJO GRANDMA ❤️🤗
Delicious too!! Yum. Especially with my grandson the taster!! Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Another wonderful recipe! Thank you!
Candace you are so nice to comment. Love you. Navajo Grandma
That looks so good and it is so simple. I did not know you could fry that way. I have to do this recipe this weekend. I have not had spam in 20 years. We grew up on it. That recipe is incredible. Simple foods, ingredients, filling, nutritious and I know some struggling single moms that would love to have this recipe. It is not costly. I am sharing your video. I had a simple supper tonight. 2 fried eggs on oven toast with a pinch of cheese. And an orange. I will be good until bedtime! Also easy on my budget. Thank you. This is what I call cooking skills.
Fern, I would have take your egg and oven toast out of your mouth and savored it in mine. I just love simple foods like what you ate. So good and yummie comfort food! You are my kind of gal. Simple dimple. I can eat oatmeal for supper with some raisins and be just happy as a lark. Go to bed happy. Fern you are such a good soul. Thank you for joining our Navajo Grandma family. You are needed and loved. Don't you forget that. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
My grandma, a wonderful soul, used to make this for us but it was commodity canned meat she made it with. Very yummy.
Oh goodness you almost made me cry, yes, that is true. We had commodities given out out in the rez. Yes you are right. Hadn't thought of that in years. Wow. See where you fill in the memories and truths of our Native lives. Which reservation did you live in? Thank you. Those were the good old days to me. Hugs from Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma grandma lived on the white mesa (the mesa to us) halfway between kaibito and tonalea. Every summer got sent there to herd sheep. Hated it then but appreciate it now. Everything u cook looks delish!
@jktoooo Thank you for writing & letting me know where you have been. To me anywhere on the rez is heaven. I herded sheep with my bizhi & those memories live on in my life. Sure miss them all. Thank you again for writing. Nixhoni. Navajo Grandma
Yummm 😋
Looks delicious, Grandma ❤️
Thank you for the recipe. I’m definitely making this soon 🤗 I hope you enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Michelle you are so precious, I want to say again and again, thank you so much for watching grandma and yes this is an old video, 9 months ago, but the food never grows old. It remains yummie. Love you. Navajo Grandma
I love spam! No matter what it is. Lol. The cans seem smaller than I remembered. I'm going to make this. Looks wonderful. Than you dear lady!
Hope you enjoy and you are right the cans are smaller than they use to be. Now there is low sodium, etc. Enjoy this dish no matter what. Love it. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma I made it. As a single grandma I can get 3 meals from one can. It was yummy. I'll be doing that for my grandson when he comes again!
Hey grandma, that is delicious. That's my hubby's favorite food, potatoes, spam, jalapeno, and onions. I do the same, I add water. I usually buy sodium free spam. You take care & thank you again. Love you grandma😙.....
Paula, glad you know what I made, and yes, I normally make it with sodium free but somehow it got switched. Oops. It tasted wonderful anyway. Love you. Navajo Grandm
We enjoy this. Not super often but maybe monthly.
Mama Mode, "moderation in all things" that is my motto. I have to say though it is so delicious. Yum. Monthly. Navajo Grandma

Yummm thanks grandma
Sonya this is an old video but the food never gets old, it remains one of the life long recipes that mothers made for their families rich or poor. And yes, those yummie carbs just made our tummies dance with joy and our taste buds to sing and it was "pure comfort food." Hugs to you and hope you make this, "it is Yummm!! Correcto Mundo. Hugs always. Navajo Grandma
Watching you cook is a real joy. I never liked spam, but I am going to try it this way. Your grandson is adorable. I really want to try this food.. Just have to figure out a way to share food across the internet. I guess licking the monitor will have to suffice for now, LOL.. Hope you're safe Grandma!
Hyala, one day when I am out your way, I will announce it and you make sure you are there and grandma will fix you some of the foods that you have seen. You made grandma laugh. I hope your life is coming along good and you are making good choices to bring more light and goodness to you. Grandma always prays for you especially. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
🤤.grandma, Iam at work. Lunch time., and you’re potato they look so good 🤤
Well guess what they are yummie. Spam and potatoes are used world wide. Why cuz they are a comfort food and full of carbs I am sure. LOL! Navajo Grandma
Looks delicious!
It is delish. Maybe you might try it before long when you can afford it. Navajo Grandma
Spam is so underrated! I love it fried. Will definitely have to try it this way too. I tried making my first fry bread around seven years ago, and it was great tasting and fun to make. Cooking is good for the soul and the stomach! 😹
Here here!!! I hope you try this and enjoy. Its Yummie!! Spam hugs. Navajo Grandma
Thank you for the water trick! I feel like I’ve been missing an important part of cooking all these years 😅 it’s been a while since ive cooked like this and now I want to start again thank you
A lot of women do this I have found and it made me happy to learn. It is wonderful and you end up with a tastier potato and whatever you are cooking. Glad you will try this and thank you for watching and learning. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
I just had my dinner and already, my belly is growling again.
That looks and sounds amazing. 😊
My mother always said, "chew your food good, drink water, get out and walk, run and play, remain active, and remain strong." She said if I chewed my food really good, I wouldn't be hungry and she is right. I get full easier. Carbs like this amazing meal needs a lot of walking and moving around. Watch out. Cuz it is so good. Navajo Grandma
Thank you for that. I wish I had a grandma to make this for us.
You are so welcome! This was made 9 months ago and was just learning how to make videos. So thank you for enjoying the view. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
Awsome job Grandma, I sold that burrito but added eggs, n that $$ was for Gas $$ to work n back from Tuba City Az to Flagstaff Az working there 4 couple years, Enjoyed yur Vlogs Grandma ,Thank you Take Care
Well with Biden shutting down the pipeline, the taxes going sky high, the gas prices booming, you best get out the skillet again and start selling. Its suppose to get to $5 a gallon. America is not doing good right now under this guy. Sick. We all best sell spam now. Right?
That spam and potatoes does look so delicious and the naneeskaadi does look great to to eat the food in and I have some spam which I have had for over 6 months and kept for emergencies and will try making this meal once I get some fresh potatoes to make with it.
Well Sidney have a hand at this meal and report to grandma how that came out. You must be quite a cook. It is delish and no we don't eat this all the time and some have and still do but a good treat. Thank you for taking the time to watch and learn. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma I will let you know once I get some potatoes.

Hi,Grandma and hi to your grandson, he made me hungry, I could almost taste it. I make something similar to that for my husbands lunch. After its cooked, I throw in some tomato sauce and a wee bit of water, cook a little more, and yumm. I love how your tortilla looks.
Well Lisa, one day soon, I am turning the tables on all of you precious subscribers and I would expect all of you to make a video of yourselves, cooking, recreating, making your hobbies, to show us who you are as you all are my family. How are we to love and know our family members without knowing who they are. So get ready sweetie, this could be one of those yummie videos. Looking forward to it. Love you. Navajo Grandma

Aloha Navajo TutuMa. Always so happy to see you here! This looks yum! We use spam when we make our saimin noodles, along with egg, scrambled or up, green onions and a dab of sesame seed. I use Better then Bouillon for the soup base. We fry the spam first then add the base to deglaze pan;-* This is one of our staples as its cheap. It one of those dishes you can mix and match leftovers in for sure. So if you happen to see some saimin noodles!?
Much love to you my sweet Tutu.
Well there is a Hawaiian joint here that sells that spam and noodles, exactly what you wrote. We ate that before we left for Colorado. Yum!! Simple and cheap and always YUMMIE!! Simple as a dimple. Try it and enjoy. Love you. Navajo Grandma
This looks super delicious! Thank you for the recipe :-]
Gramma that grandson he's a foodie, you're doing really well with him. I hope his arm is healing well.
Yes, he is healed. This was a video made 9months ago. While I was gone to Colorado somehow the rug video walked away. So this is a filler. He is in 10th grade 6'7" tall and I almost need a ladder to hug him now. Thanks for watching. Hugs. Navajo Grandma
@@NavajoGrandma hes a good boy Gramma he will always have a hug for you. You taught him well he learned well, he will bend to you for the hug when you can't reach to him for the hug.
He will kiss your forehead for the wisdom you have given him, your cheeks for all the times you wiped his from tears, messy food or boyhood play dirty, and hug you for all the love, comfort, protection that came from your heart to his.

@@NavajoGrandma Thank you, Navajo Grandma. I appreciate all the work you put into your videos. I look forward to your next video : )
This reminds me fondly of growing up. My dad was a huge fan of cooking with spam, so spam (or hotdogs) with potatoes was a common meal! Going to have to try it wrapped up in náneeskaadi!
Yup, now this is a true comfort yummy food. Sometimes nothing can match it. Yum! Navajo Grandma
🤓 that looks really good grandma. I'm going to have to try to get some spam so I can make this dish. Thanks for the idea

when i was growing up it was fryed potatoes and spam no bread went with it,, grand ma would make this for me and her after every one left for the morning, i was smaller then the other boys so i wasnt allowed to go to work with them,, great video
That looks so good. Im gona try🌻🥔🌮
An older video but the food never changes in taste no matter how old the recipe or cooking is. Try it. Navajo Grandma
