It'd be cool to see a series like this but you're buying vintage sets and seeing how they do over time. For example buying all the 1st edition secret rares in original duel monsters in NM and seeing over time which ones rise or go down. Can do the same with GX era, 5DS etc
I love following this series. Reminds me why it's fun to collect. But hard to be a business. Really have to find those gems on the market to make a profit on tcg

We bought Starlight Lyna the Light Charmer Lustrous because of the Lightsworn Support, that is why it was over 300$ when we bought it. Little did we know, it was Punishment Dragon who shot up in value
This is my favorite series and will always tune it for it. If we wanted to get serious about profit would probably have to avoid meme picks or have a small budget for risk/meme. The portfolio is too young to truly predict which cards will become worthy investments.

Honestly, I think you gotta kaibosh the “letting chat pick” stuff. Might take some more researching and speculation of reprint sets, but it still holds some value.
I think this series is amazing BUT it need more rules like nothing newer than 5 years old (taking example from 1st Movement Solo a 50cent Card from 2015 is now worth 30x times that for just a super), no S tier rarity (starlight,qcr,ulti,ghost), Maybe take a main set from (x) year and buy a certain quantity of the most iconic card of that set that has not gotten a reprint yet? idk just an idea. Man, I agree. It's getting harder and harder to make a positive investment into yugioh. Re prints are dropping values, and the collector population is dropping, in my opinion. But there could be many other factors but I think those are the 2 main reasons. It's sad that even vintage is losing its value.
LP is not NM, so if sellers lie about the condition you have to hold them accountable and demand a refund and report the seller. If you bought NM, it’s not accurate to track LP prices for this series. Love your content, just wanted to share my take and help your algorithm 😂
I think the incorrect condition is good to include for a "buyer beware" warning, but it kinda skews the numbers. I'd just stop tracking the incorrect condition cards, or at the very least give the change in price for only the "correct" cards?
Maybe instead of buying and holding, u make a series where you play the card stonk market and you are constantly buying and selling and we see how big the profit margin can be
I think if you're going to do this again I think maybe avoid single card prices, but maybe do a wholly sealed attempt. Pick the sets you think might age well from the last year. Perhaps the past sets you think might get a boom from future support coming out. Etc

With yugioh going at the reprint direction, it's definitely better for players but worse for collectors. If only they did products like pokemon where it's cheap as a player but still profitable as collectors
