There should be basic agreement, but allowing flexibility for things that happen in the moment. However, if the conductor just follows along with whatever the dancers are doing, the music will not be properly supporting them, not to mention sounding like crap.

This is a perfect characterization, which I’ve certainly rarely seen. The playful and flirtatious way of looking at the audience; the speed and lightness; the floating way her feet move....everything is completely in character, and she has melded herself to the character. Quite amazing!

This is such a cute variation, and she performs it so well. The best part is her balance at the end when she looks out at the crowd like "oh yeah, I just did that!"
She makes the dance look so effortless. She's in pointe shoes but the way she moves so easily is like she is dancing in regular ballet shoes. She is so very good at this! I have seen people with prettier turns than her but the way she floats up on her toes is just so beautiful I can't help but say that she is a wonderful dancer. :)
There is no one I've seen that has danced this variation better. If anyone wanted to see this variation done PERFECTLY, this is it. I don't see how she could improve it except to grow wings. I love her.
