      @@roxiebrotsky13 yeah, I was kinda surprised by that. I'm going to a dental school, however I am in the faculty practice and he's the head of the department, if that means anything. Not nearly as expensive as going to a regular Periodontist though, so there's that. I'm going to Case Western Dental.

      I have done the pinhole surgery in Austria Vienna and paid 6500€ and the operation was extremely brutal and my gum is worse then before after 6 weeks. There are hundrets of comments from people on the Internet who lost all their money and have the same gum problems as before because it didn't work. Even a doctor who had it done on himself and followed post op instructions very carefully wrote that his gum has gone half year after the operation. My lower teeth got lose directly after the operation and the Dentist said they probably were lose before but they weren't and my main dentist was shocked about the situation and doesn't believe the pinhole dentist because he shouldn't have done an operation on lose teeth. Thanks for great dental intel. After watching your videos I referred myself to a periodontist, Dr Megan Ratliff in Glenview, IL, who is LANAP certified. She spoke very highly of you. Glad I don't need LANAP yet or pinhole technique. I'm getting SRP Scaling & Root Planing done every 3 months to treat periodontitis that my dentist says I don't have! He didn't refer me to a periodontist despite the fact I had increased sensitivity. My gums weren't bleeding but most of my pockets are 2-5 and two are 6-7! Thank goodness I saw your videos and referred myself. I'm doing Stellalife antimicrobial rinses 3 x day & bought a new Waterpik too. You're awesome! I'll be going to a new dentist that my periodontist recommended!

    5-25k??? WTF thats insane. How can it cost more than a tooth implant? You literally poke holes in the gum, pull down the gums and insert little pins to keep them down. That shouldn't be more than a $500 procedure.

  • @TheCubicplanet
    @TheCubicplanet หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Most comments are reasonably asking about the high price of the procedure vs the procedure cost itself. C'mon Doc! We're not designing and launching spaceships here. It's a relatively simple procedure that doesn't involve some extraordinary tools. Yet $5K to $25K ???
    Imagine that you could help 1000x as many people if you would charge less, and still get your multimillion mansion in the process.
    The world today is totally unbalanced. I swear to God, if I ever become rich and afford to make this a reality, I'll make a clinic where I'll offer ultra-accessible prices to people.

    Hi , I'm 18 years old with mild gum recession from brushing hard. I was at a dentist who told me that I don't need to go to a periodontist, but in one tooth I can see the bone and I think the receding needs to be treated with some kind of surgery. I live in Israel and soon I will have to go to the army until the age of 21, what do you suggest I do? Shouldn't I listen to the dentist and go to a gum specialist? to visit you in a few years? I asked a dentist and he said receding gums shortens the life span of the teeth, I'm really worried...

    Notice how everytime a dentist is asked why dental care is so expensive, even with insurance, they never really admit that they choose to charge whatever they want because they know they can and instead, they always turn it back to being the insurance companies' fault for only covering around $2000 a year and they then start talking about how important oral care is to your overall physical health, etc, etc so you shouldn't complain about the high price and just "Pay Up".

    Please respond. I have seen 3 periodontists, including the one you recommend in Florida. Well, the son who works with him. I have some recession, but every one says it's too minor to do anything, but the roots are definitely exposed throughout. And they are sensitive. Why do you say that needs to be treated if the roots are exposed but the perios say no treatment required. Also, on your lingual pictures, what happened to the lady with the tongue ring? The tissue on the after is very decreased in volume. Especially in the interdental aspects.

    I feel screwed. I'm 39 and I've been chewing since I was 13 or 14. For most my adult life I been chewing like 2 to 4 tins of chew a day. I avoided going to the dentist for 20 years and I recently started going to the dentist again. I'm disabled and on ssdi, I have unitedhealth care dual complete for insurance and I get like $3,500 a year for dental. So it sounds like there is no way I could have this pinhole surgery to repair the gum damage I've put myself through by my heavy tobacco use. I've been trying to quit tobacco for over a year and now that I can't chew tobacco without serious pain I'm down to like a tin a day or less. It's been a real struggle and battle to get off tobacco for me but I know it's time to eliminate the tobacco for good.. Is there any way that the pinhole surgery can be spaced out over years? Like just do a few areas every year instead of doing it all at once? I know I can't afford 5 grand let alone 25 grand but I'd like to get my gums fixed. Thank you for your videos, I just found your channel last night and I've been watching your content most of the day. I am learning a lot

    Can You show any examples (with X-Rays), where bone recreates after Pinhole technique, like You have repeated times shown after LANAP treatments ? It is a pitty, that the pinhole technique is hold as "secrete issue", without any real operation videos etc. published anywhere. All other techniques, like palate gum transplantation and also bone crafting in recession ereas with open operation techniques are documented as videos and in print media. But nothing about pinhole technique becomes published. This is suspicious and a free publication should be done. Also for better scientific advancing of this method.

    Could a (plastic) night guard have contributed to my gum recession? The latter did start after I started to wear it but, unfortunately, I put two and two together when I already had a significant gum recession twenty years later. The guard was pushing my gums to the point I felt uncomfortable but I still wore it every night for all these years. Now my new dentist says I need a hard night guard to prevent my recession to get even worse (and it’s pretty bad now). I’m panicking, as I imagine how it will push my gums even further. I went online and read that yes, sometimes night guards do cause gum recession. Does anybody know if all night guards make the recession worse?

His podcast and IG videos are very interesting. Also interesting a dentist called Dr Valerie Kanter. But as said, I'm not having troubles with it as it is almost irreparable. Thankfully, so I'm not really giving advice just telling what helped me. I wish you good luck and especially that you get over your problems soon. I'm very sorry to read what happened to you. • @Savethelepodopteraa
      @Savethelepodopteraa ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe Dr. Nemeth says that the two are separate. For gum “ disease” , he suggests the LANP laser. It will essentially destroy the parasites and bacteria that are harboring in pockets and crevices causing the gum tissue to recede and therefore causing your bone density to shrink as well. IF you only have gum recession WITHOUT periodontal disease… ( think tooth grinding, tongue ring, brushing too hard) then the pinhole surgery will thicken the gum tissue allowing the root to be covered. So the primary reason for the laser is to kill the parasites and bad bacteria, allowing for healthy gingiva. AN ADDED beneficial side effect of the laser is bone density Re growth. But Dr. Nemeth has mentioned it is not 100%. Hope this helps clear up things.
