Garfield was & still is a vocal beast!!!! He was the finest out of the group with a voice made out of pink pearls & diamonds (pink is my favorite color & happens to represent beauty & love aura). He is now an author, activist, philanthropist & doctor, actor & professor at Georgia State University. Im gonna visit the school one day when I get my car just to go see him & pick his brain & get the chance to hug him. He still sexy too Lawd!!! Black don't crack!!! Definitely an underrated group but a timeless group.

I'm a tomboy who was friends with these guys back in the day (most of my friends were guys) - and I was notorious for stealing clothes (calling it borrowing, but I had no intention of ever returning anything 🙂). I actually got that cream turtleneck sweater away from Garfield (the deep voice) lol. And I was actually in the studio when they recorded "Baby I'm Yours." Of course, nobody really knew who they were then; I was just hanging out with the homies 🙂.

Lot of people say the term for this generation of R and B but. Being 41 and this was my era the most commonly used term/official description was New Jack Swing.
