    Thanks for your video, it motivated me. I did the same, removed the transfer case on my 2013 Santa fe 2.0T sport AWD. Note that I also disconnected the plug at the rear transfer case. I've had no issue, I'm at 1200kms, It's running well as a FWD. Steering a little lite but fine, I'm not sure it has something to do with this. No engine or other lights on but the all wheel drive on. No code generated.

    thinking of doing the same to my santa fe, here un the U.K, I know you sold your car, but did you manage to clear the dash of faults and did you resolve the problems you where saying about at the end of your video ? Thanks

    I have a 2013 Santa fe. Had it with a clean instrument cluster with no faults, but I knew the AWD had issues since the transaxle produced a beating noise when turning a tight radius. So I wanted to verify this by pulling the "4WD" fuse and drive the same corner with FWD only. After pulling the fuse, I got hill descent, traction control and AWD lights ON, but the drive around the corner was smooth and definitely better than when AWD was activated. Then I wanted to restore the AWD by replacing the "4WD" fuse. However, the lights are still latched and the car is running on FWD only. I scanned with OBDII and no faults found. By your experience, would you know what's going on in my case? Thanks in advance.

      You need a more powerful scanner to scan for transmission code.

    When you had the santa fe with the problem could you still drive it normally? But FWD only?

    I just watched your video coz I too was interested to convert my SF to FWD. Did you end up doing it? Anything on my SF that can break has broken and it’s on its 2nd wave. 2nd time the 4WD broke. I prefer not to repair it this time round.

    My I ask why you didnt just leave it together and just live with 2WD? Was it the vibration or were you concerned it could break something else?

    • @runningrich
      @runningrich  ปีที่แล้ว

      It made an awful noise and shook the whole vehicle

    If you don't live in a rugged area you don't need AWD. Also how many miles you have bud?

    • @runningrich
      @runningrich  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We need AWD because the stupid amount of snow we get here. This is not a rigged awd system, any kind of medium duty offloading will break the system. I got 250k kms.
