We can't get enough of these amazing pens! Have you tried glass or other dip pens before? Let us know in the comments!
I can't get enough of your videos! They make my day - thank you :-) I would love to try a dip pen before I buy though, they look so lovely.
That bullet nib pen is a thing of beauty!!!
I learned to write with a dip pen mid last century. It was a bit of a pain - the ink would get dusty, the nib would catch and splutter, the writing would get smeared, and we all had ink on our hands and of course I had ink on my clothes. And then Thank God for ballpoints!
Uuugh, I definitely have my eye on that brass dip pen tip! It's SO PRETTY and it looks like it'll simulate glass dip pens, but more smooth!
Same!
Right??? Ugh, the kakimori is freaking amazing and I want one so bad!! Thats my next purchase for sure!
That's what I thought. But surprisingly enough, not the case. It's very pretty and the brass nib works beautifully for switching, but writing with it is a nightmare-at least with mine. Even my cheapest glass dip pens do better than the brass.
I find the idea of leaving an open ink bottle open while I'm writing really scary, I feel like I would definitely knock it over and make a huge mess
Most ink bottles are squat so they’re a lot harder to knock over. Now slide off the table because you have a kitty who’s a bit jealous when you aren’t showering them with affection 😬
Anyways, if you want to try but are worried about stains, try a lighter colored water based ink to start
@@dalishrogue3621YES the cat... the cat is the risk... especially if he sees a pen waving around.
I often sit my open ink bottle in a mug, feels safer.
I did that yesterday!!! I made 18 ink paintings so I wouldn't waste my ink. It gave me an excuse to be very productive.
@intentionallyleftblank3016 great idea!
I like the idea of a capped glass dip pen. And the bullet-like one might go on my eventually get list. Who am I kidding? It's going on the list. 😂
I have it and I highly recommend! I have the brass nib and aluminum body. I think I might get one of the wood bodies because the aluminum gets heavy to write with after a while for me
I think 98% of humanity settles with a boring pen.
But you don't have to! ;)
yeah, I agree
One beautiful thing about humanity is the variety of knowledge and passions different people pursue. Not everybody will choose to become a pen expert...
But those of us who do can help our friends and coworkers have a better writing experience! ❤
99.99,%
True, not everyone can be bothered to spend more money on having (although extremely functional) a unique pen. To a good extent if it works, I use it 😁
These dip pens look amazing! I've tried a few glass dip pens, all made in Germany, and they seem really hit-or-miss. Most don't hold enough ink for 2 sentences. A Japanese one might be a game changer! And that bullet-shaped dip pen nib...I must try one of those. 🙂
This may be your most tempting video for me yet!
Please post a longer glass dip pen asmr video!!! Could watch it all day. (Also showcase some of the coolest inks!)
I bought the entire set of the epoch highlighters, they're so cute!!! The mix and match system is genius and I like to use them in my sketchbook.
The Kakimori stainless nib is AMAZING, and the two items I've tried from Komamono Labs (the glass dip and the fountain pen), are both excellent pickups for the price.
I've been looking into dip pens to use with my really shimmery inks. Thanks for making this video!
Fountain pens... Im not that old, 42, it was obligatory in primary school for us to use only fountain pens to learn proper holding of the pen and to train the hand traditionaly.... Interesting today that is not important anymore.
May I ask where you grew up?
@@StlScarlett in Slovenia countryside
All of them!❤ I have several of the Komamono fountain pens. They are great for the price point. I don't notice much feedback (and I dislike feedback) but I've been using pretty juicy inks. Love being able to change out the cap colors. Glass and brush tips next!
I need the Guridrops glass pen and the brass nib from Kakimori😍😍😍 Definitely going on my wishlist😊
I would definitely pick the unique Kakimori Dip Pen Nib and the Kakimor Sakura Wood Nib Holder, beautiful collection.
Thank you for this video. I love pens but I adore fountain pens.
Love the barrel twin pens!
SO. MANY. AWESOME. PENS.
I love them all!!❤❤❤
The bullet pen looks so unusual and interesting. ❤
Bullet nib!! So excited you have it!
I may try a glass dip pen but honestly I've found my favorites for what I do. My hard working pens are Speedball B nibs, a Zebra spoon, and finally a Tachikawa G. Also the Pentel fude brushes to do stuff pen nibs can't with the same ink.
That was good, thank you!
I have the Pilot Iroutsushi both fine and medium tips but I agree the maintenance is a whole lot easier than a fountain pen. I end up reaching for it when I write in my diary.
Next debating on a glass dip pen.
These pens intimidated me late one night, I'll never forget, I was made to feel like a tiny dot.
Oooohhhh I would get all of them! ✨
I’d love to try the Pilot pen with the tip you can stow in the body when not in use. I also am interested in the stainless bullet nib from Kakimori!
I have the Kakimori Brss nib with a Light Sakura holder. I find it harder to use than anticipated. I've used fountain pens all my life and have several dip pens, including the iro-utsushi dip pen in fine. The brass nib however seems to give me a bit of trouble when trying to write with it. Swatching is no problem but writing is a bit of a challenge still. I don't have this exact glass dip pen (I have three different ones in different shapes) but do think it's lovely. Is it hard to clean? One of my glass dip pens seems to be especially "clingy" when it comes to certain inks.
Agree about the Kakimori Brass nib, not as smooth as I hoped.
I was about to look into getting more fountain pens!
I love pens. thank you for this video showing your pens
The kakimori pen looks like they would be Amazing for manga art
Aww man, i just placed my order! 😭
Me looking at these pens: whoaaaaa...
Me looking at their prices:
ohhhh....
There are shittier knockoff versions you can try, but basically when you know you want a specific type of writing implement then a good quality one is definitely worth it. Just remember that the poor quality versions obviously won't function exactly the same, but they will definitely help you get an idea of it.
The Kobaru & Barrel twin marker is an interesting poket EDC for whiteboards or glass boards. Imagine black and blue stacked together 😊
Been looking for the right glass dip pen! I just don’t trust myself or my cats with them though! I don’t remember the name of the one with the removable glass tip… and that’s the one I’m looking for!
pilot iro-utsushi!
It sounds like this one! If you ever need a replacement tip, click on Recommended Refills/Parts to find it. 🙂

@@solhesperiathe fonte has a cap & they're very cheap. It was in this video
@@JetPens Thanks a ton!
I meant to answer you. Oops. I mentioned that the fonte is very inexpensive & has a cap. It was in this video. The cap may slow down that pesky cat. Lol.
Dat Kakimori dip pen, tho.... 🤤
I want it all!!! ❤
whats the texture like? are any of them scratchy like with a classic fountain pen? I hate the scratchiness (I needa make a personal chart for future comparison)
So the Komomono Fonte rollerball pen uses fountain pen ink? I didn't know that was possible!
I love glass pens!
The glass nib pen sounds interesting!
I would love to get a few of the pens featured in the video. Unfortunately, most are sold out
That brass nib pen is intriguing! But I would want to use india ink. Can it handle india ink??
Reflecting on the rollerball tip for the kokamono pen- is there a problem using different inks if you don't mind the colours mixing? Is there any mechanical problem that can be caused, or only if you try to use like a shiny ink with particles inside it? Thank you!
Sometimes some ink formulations don't play well together and you risk clogging it! We definitely don't recommend using shiny inks with particles inside it.
Jetpens has a TH-cam channel?! I used to order frequently when my son was in grade school.
The hiko bullet one
Oh my word. I should know better than to watch videos about pens... 😍🤤
The Kakimori. I want it so bad, but it's a little bit on the pricy side for me at the moment.
What was the ink used with the kakimori pen? Looks gorgeous!!!
It's Sailor Manyo Nadeshiko: www.jetpens.com/Sailor-Manyo-Nadeshiko-Ink-50-ml-Bottle/pd/29935
What ink was used with the Guaridrops glass pen? I believe it was some Sailor shikori ink.
Yes, it was Tokiwa-Matsu: www.jetpens.com/Sailor-Shikiori-Tokiwa-Matsu-Ink-Pine-Izayoi-no-Yume-20-ml-Bottle/pd/22563
Fountain pens so deadly they set off the metal detection at the airport 😂
Did you forget to empty your pockets?
@denisewenke8323 My fault and yes I forgot it in my pocket
The Kakimori stainless nib
Kakimori Stainless Steel nib 👌🏻
oh well :( I was longing for the &Barrel marker swatch hahah!
Sorry to disappoint! We have the swatches on our website so you can check them out here: www.jetpens.com/Epoch-Kobaru-Barrel-Twin-Markers/ct/7100 & www.jetpens.com/Epoch-Kobaru-Barrel-Mellow-Connecting-Highlighters/ct/7099
Ho Boy, the kakinomori are really picking my interest.
So many times I see inks gets used in these videos that look so beautiful, but with no way to know what they are to buy them.
Has anyone ever floated the idea of having an on-screen note pop-up with the brand and name of the ink being used to demo a pen during videos?
… I really need to stop watching these videos…
gnawing on a stick furiously because I can't get a Kakimori pen yet ;A;
i had bought glass pen n ink from Oomomo store . but i wondered how to use it. i had asked store. i don’t think they know it. caz i bought ink. n now is not working please n thank you
Hi, try watching our How to Use Glass Pens video: th-cam.com/video/NCdTpt3aSTg/w-d-xo.html
can you transport it to NEPAL ?
Yes we do!
Yes,I see
Can someone explain “feedback”? I can’t tell in the demos. Thanks
Feedback is the tactile feel of the pen on paper! If a pen has a lot of feedback, it might feel scratchy. Sorry that wasn't clear!
@@JetPens hi
No worries and thank you! I thought it was evinced by the resulting look of ink on paper, but I completely get it now!
😀
whenever i look for japanese fountain pens, they're always sold out
What i learned from this video:
1. Japanese crafters produce marvelous creations.
2. “Feedback” in the pen world is a measure of scratchiness.
gotta get'em all ... ... pokemon
I’m a huge fan of jetpens but I’m really tired of hearing about fountain pens. It didn’t used to be this way. It seems like you are shoving fountain pens down our throats.
They did highlighters, journal and much more. Usually in shorts
to be fair they have a TON of fountain pens and they need to subtly market them all somehow, but i get your point
As a fountain pen lover, this content is fun to watch! There has been a growth in fountain pen users in the US the past few years so it makes sense they would want to capitalize on that
I think you have problem with your feeds, this their 1st fountain pen vid in many weeks
I've not seen very many fountain pen videos from them. Mostly journals and washi tape and desk accessories. And gel pens. Lots of gel pens. 🙂
That would be great and all if these weren’t $100-500 :)
