This is absolutely amazing. I was 5 years old when the original came out, and it was terrifying. It's a film series that I literally grew up with, and I would love to see a return to the core of the movie, before Freddy became a more campier version. The story touches at a very deep fear so many of us possess, and in that, there is a story to be told.
It would but it can't happen unless they retcon the 3rd film and if they do that Alice would not even exist because she got her powers from Kristen who appeared in the 3rd movie
Great point‼️ I actually thought of that. The concept of this trailer is that every sequel 2-6 was a dream Nancy had about Freddy in the psych ward after the original. The twist is, Kristen, Alice, Maggie, Yvonne and Jesse are people in Nancy’s waking life who encounter Freddy for the first time all over again.
Regardless its going to be very corny whatever they decide to do without Robert Englund. He is the character. They messed up giving Freddy a personality and a face because now there's literally only one person who can play him.
Robert Englund is Freddy Krueger . There is no other that could top him, he is the real deal that likes to play with your reality the trickster demon serial killer of your dreams.. He is just Phebomenal so, seeing him come back is the coolest ever..

Robert Englund has said multiple times in interviews that he is both to old(75 years old)and has had to many injuries to ever play Freddy ever again. It takes 5-6 hours to apply the makeup and one and a half hours to remove it. 14-16 hours a day, 6 days a week. He has no interest in doing it any more and it’s time for People to move on from Robert Englund. If he had died, you would have to move on.
@@davidw5532 Thank You David, I think Robert deserves to Retire his fedora as Freddy. After that episode of the Goldbergs, I believe he did just that. I believe it was 2018 and their Halloween Episode called No More Mr. Knifeguy. I think that was the name of it.

She’s still alive in *The Beautiful Dream* 😉 The Innovation Comics series continues that particular story and shows us some of the world Kristen preserved Nancy in after Freddy killed her. Someone even made a script based on the comics. New Line (I guess Warner now) should give it a try.
Love your concept to death especially the way you worked it into continuity. Back to basics of the series with a strong focus on just the chilling concept of death in dreams and needing to stay awake. This was fantastic Wilson!

My favorite horror villain ever. Especially when he's really vicious and his one-liners are toned down. Used to have Freddy posters on my bedroom wall in high school, and went as him for Halloween senior year with a sheet-metal glove (not sharp) my dad helped me make. Good times!
Yeah same here,Freddy’s got to be dark and vicious not comedian Freddy like in 4,5 and 6.I actually like 4 but that’s when it started making Freddy cheesy.
There are so many things I love about this, from Freddy's look (I love that they went back to his witchy high-cheekbones look from the second movie), to the cast (Patricia Arquette! Heather! Robert!), to direction by Mike Flanagan!!! I mean come on. If this doesn't happen, it's a brutal tease.

I was five and didn’t get around to seeing it until I was about 7 or 8 so around ‘87/‘88. What an impression it left on me. It was Freddy mania by that time in the late 80s. Still remember all of that craziness! One of the best high concept ideas of all-time! That’s why they will make news ones again. It’s just too good of an idea and premise.

After butchering the first 5 movies with a 2000's remake that was absolutely terrible it had no vision and literally dam near destroyed the Freddy Cruger Vision permanently this needs to be done if they can bring back the old Freddy with a Twist to give give it a new life along with the Old Vision it could bring back that old horror film feeling that you just don't get with the new horror movies.

That is the Freddy Krueger from part 2. That was my favorite Freddy with the way they did his makeup. He Definitely looked the scariest and the meanest out of the entire franchise. 👍
Paul Bailey is a friend of mine and would be perfect to play Freddy if the series was to continue. Not only can get act and look like him he actually created and applied that prosthetic and makeup to himself with minimal assistance. So you have yourself a very talented FX artist with an uncanny look of Freddy that also has acting experience. It would be great for the film and great business wise having a jack of all trade who is a one man talent that can do it all.
I agree with you 💯 I’ve only DM’d with Paul when I was making these concept trailers - but I think he’s gifted and the no-brainer heir apparent to #RobertEnglund.

This is the route they should take! This is the best vision for a new entry into the series I've seen. This is the way they should have went with the last reboot installment years ago. It kind of set the franchise back. I would really like to see Lisa Wilcox return as Alice since she survived Freddy in 4 and 5.
Ever since Wes Craven's New Nightmare, I always thought of a Freddy vs. the actresses: Heather, Patricia, the two Lisas, and Miko Hughes combating Freddy whether as their characters or real-life personalities. Robert of course and cameos by stars of the films,.
Freddy's face and voice sounds very appropriate for a new movie. Fans always have better vision's then a big time Hollywood studio.......I guess it must be the LOVE and RESPECT for the character and movie. I hope u learn something Hollywood
That was a top-tier trailer. Even reading your own words in the description i was still doubting that this wasn't a real trailer. If they ever do reboot it and use someone other than Englund, i hope they keep his personality. I didn't like the "darker" direction A New Nightmare went - it just wasn't freddie and wasn't scarier in my opinion.

The Original scared the bejesus out of me. That's a movie you go the theater for. I think someone should make a series of the origin. The Springwood Slasher. The children he abducted and then killed, the police investigation, the parents getting together to find him on their own, the decision to kill him, to burn him and how it was just swept away. How the police covered it up, then end it with the first murder of the original "Nightmare on Elm Street". HBO are you hearing this?

As a kid, my strongest memory of feeling fear, was Fred Krueger. I was terrified after I saw his face while my father was watching some late night HBO and I had snuck downstairs... i might have been 10. Terrified. I was afraid to be alone in the house. I was afraid to shower without someone staying upstairs. Now it is pure fascination with my childhood fear.
It would be nice to have a Dark Freddie trilogy . where he finally wins lol. The original movie was awesome and then they got kind of campy , which was ok but they got a little out of hand .

Personally, I don’t think a reboot of this franchise would go well. They wrung this franchise out DRY for over 20yrs... to the point where the name “Freddy” & “Krueger” became memes, jokes & catchphrases. It’s supposed to be “scary” but it has become closer to “comedy” now... people watch the Nightmare series on Halloween with their kids just to have fun, and while it’s on... no one actually “WATCHES” it, it’s just on in the background for nostalgia & atmosphere. You can’t reboot a “horror” franchise after it shifts into “comedy” status. If they hadn’t turned Freddy into the equivalent of “Elvira” and burned out his character by having him appear on talk shows in costume, people dressing up as him and playing with kids at birthday parties... then there might be a chance. But at this point... Freddy Krueger is PURELY 80’s fare - played out like shopping malls & hotdogs on a stick. Freddy has no place in the ultra-hi-tech “Kaiju-heaven” & superhero slug-fest era of 2021.
This is a very smart, fair criticism and as someone who grew up in the '80s/'90s I agree with you on most of it. I've been surprised by how many younger people have no concept of how goofy Freddy Krueger became back then. They know Freddy Krueger from Dead by Daylight (in which he is quite scary and violent). If they've seen the movies, it's usually the first 2, if any. I think there's an opportunity to reintroduce Freddy as scary and reboot the franchise for that audience who may not see him any other way.
How you thought about doing a trailer for the new scream tv show? (Its not announced yet) but wgtc has said its gonna be set in the movie universe with Sidney’s cousin we haven’t met as the star, another rumour is that it will be produced by 50 cents and obviously if it happened itd be on paramount plus, it’s meant to be completely disconnected from the mtv show

I’ve made five different #Scream5 / #Scream2022 trailers this year already but I’ll definitely consider it if the rumor proves true! I’m finishing up a second Nightmare on Elm Street trailer for this week and then subscribers want a Halloween Ends teaser and Chucky TV show trailer. I really want to do a Marvel vs. DC trailer too based on the 90s comic book series.

Fred Krueger terrified me as a child. I was afraid tp be alone upstairs in my own home for years. Now il am obsessed with his lore and watching everything i can find. I still ha e nightmares of him coming for me and they are still scary until i wake up. Fascinating tp me now at 47

I would even like to see a story of how Freddy came to be The dream demon lol nah for real about his life and the trial and how the parebts cane to turn against him. Also I would actually love to see Alice come back. Alice from 4th and 5th movie. My favorites honestly. An even his daughter from Freddy's dead. But you did an awesome job outting this together an I liked your actor for freddys character bc Robert England is so phenomenal he is hard to replace but he looks great and done better than I would have thought could be. My top favorite was part 3 dream warriors. But my top laugh he did was in part two when freddy said, ( "you got the body, I got the brain" ) after the dude screamed like a girl which ruined it.
Nancy and Tina spending the night with each other because of a bad dream they had, and to find out they dreamed about the same guy woah if that's not the eeriest thing in cinema I dont know what is.. heads getting chopped off and blood and gory never scared me.. but scenes with laurie from Halloween walking with her friends and seeing michael Myers behind the bushes with that creepy music playing ...NOW THATS SCARY.....
I don't think anyone would be opposed to seeing this made. My cousin is 19 years old, he was terrified of Freddy as a child... Showed this to him today and he had a mix of terror and excitement.

I didn’t want to use the same old clips everyone else does! Heather Langenkamp is a vfx makeup artist now but still acts. She’s gonna be in Mike Flanagan’s next Netflix series. Those clips are from ‘Portal’ (2019) and ‘Cottonmouth’ (2020). If you caught the Patricia Arquette clip that’s from CSI and the Lisa Wilcox/Alice clip is from a web series she did (with Englund) called ‘Fear Clinic.’ 🔥

My favorite horror villain ever. Especially when he's really vicious and his one-liners are toned down. Used to have Freddy posters on my bedroom wall in high school, and went as him for Halloween senior year with a sheet-metal glove (not sharp) my dad helped me make. Good times!

I was five and didn’t get around to seeing it until I was about 7 or 8 so around ‘87/‘88. What an impression it left on me. It was Freddy mania by that time in the late 80s. Still remember all of that craziness!

After butchering the first 5 movies with a 2000's remake that was absolutely terrible it had no vision and literally dam near destroyed the Freddy Cruger Vision permanently this needs to be done if they can bring back the old Freddy with a Twist to give give it a new life along with the Old Vision it could bring back that old horror film feeling that you just don't get with the new horror movies.

That is the Freddy Krueger from part 2. That was my favorite Freddy with the way they did his makeup. He Definitely looked the scariest and the meanest out of the entire franchise. 👍

Paul Bailey is a friend of mine and would be perfect to play Freddy if the series was to continue. Not only can get act and look like him he actually created and applied that prosthetic and makeup to himself with minimal assistance. So you have yourself a very talented FX artist with an uncanny look of Freddy that also has acting experience. It would be great for the film and great business wise having a jack of all trade who is a one man talent that can do it all.

The Original scared the bejesus out of me. That's a movie you go the theater for. I think someone should make a series of the origin. The Springwood Slasher. The children he abducted and then killed, the police investigation, the parents getting together to find him on their own, the decision to kill him, to burn him and how it was just swept away. How the police covered it up, then end it with the first murder of the original "Nightmare on Elm Street". HBO are you hearing this?

Personally, I don’t think a reboot of this franchise would go well. They wrung this franchise out DRY for over 20yrs... to the point where the name “Freddy” & “Krueger” became memes, jokes & catchphrases. It’s supposed to be “scary” but it has become closer to “comedy” now... people watch the Nightmare series on Halloween with their kids just to have fun, and while it’s on... no one actually “WATCHES” it, it’s just on in the background for nostalgia & atmosphere. You can’t reboot a “horror” franchise after it shifts into “comedy” status. If they hadn’t turned Freddy into the equivalent of “Elvira” and burned out his character by having him appear on talk shows in costume, people dressing up as him and playing with kids at birthday parties... then there might be a chance. But at this point... Freddy Krueger is PURELY 80’s fare - played out like shopping malls & hotdogs on a stick. Freddy has no place in the ultra-hi-tech “Kaiju-heaven” & superhero slug-fest era of 2021.
This is a very smart, fair criticism and as someone who grew up in the '80s/'90s I agree with you on most of it. I've been surprised by how many younger people have no concept of how goofy Freddy Krueger became back then. They know Freddy Krueger from Dead by Daylight (in which he is quite scary and violent). If they've seen the movies, it's usually the first 2, if any. I think there's an opportunity to reintroduce Freddy as scary and reboot the franchise for that audience who may not see him any other way.

I didn’t want to use the same old clips everyone else does! Heather Langenkamp is a vfx makeup artist now but still acts. She’s gonna be in Mike Flanagan’s next Netflix series. Those clips are from ‘Portal’ (2019) and ‘Cottonmouth’ (2020). If you caught the Patricia Arquette clip that’s from CSI and the Lisa Wilcox/Alice clip is from a web series she did (with Englund) called ‘Fear Clinic.’ 🔥
