I've done the first canvas and spackle project before and lightly pressed fern leaves and dried flowers onto them before they dried and it turned out beautifully! @@delanascott8890 Drew really inspires me with his DIY's! I'm going to make some more canvas and spackle wall hangings but add some metal hardware washers of different sizes spray painted black or gold. Or maybe some different sized marbles spray painted like the ones in the candlestick tutorial! ( which I also loved!) Or twigs and branches. With fairy lights wrapped around them! Ok, I'll shut up now! (This is how Drew's videos affect me! They're like a drug, but a good kind!)

The spray foam is not meant to be on mirrors, I’ve heard it can be toxic when you use this for diy projects. It can cause cancer in worst cases. It’s meant to fill holes in bathrooms etc.
Exactly! It's so dangerous! That fad is driving me nuts. So many people putting their health at risk over a mirror.
So you're basically living with it in your bathroom, but on a mirror it is toxic? Doesn't make sense to me..(?)
@@elisalohmuller9874 No it's safe when applied properly and cured for over 24hrs. However, breathing it in while spraying the mirror and not wearing protective masks and gloves is dangerous.
@@krissy1266 is it safe to have in your room once its finished? You just need to use PPE while doing it and put it outside while it dries?
@@em84c Yes. I would make it outside wearing gloves and a face mask, then let it sit in your garage or somewhere well ventilated for a few days just to be safe. You could also talk to someone at the store that sells it for their advice or call the company. Better to be safe than sorry.
I just loved the marbles diy! The pieces of hot glue that shows, even looks like soldering!
I think I have a cool idea. To use the spray foam around the outside of a mirror, paint that mottled dark greys, browns, like the outside of a rock. Then cut, and remove the foam around on the inside to create a sharp, but kinda random edge. Paint that newly exposed face a color of your choice, then glue in crushed colored crystals, or like that vase filler stuff, to make it look like a geode. Prolly on a small mirror cause I'd imagine the glass/crystals are going to add weight. I want to try it now!

Spray foam insulation is an incredibly resource intensive and polluting product (So is spray paint). It should probably only be used to make buildings more energy efficient and not for people to make little diy projects destined for the garbage. Our choices make a difference :)
this project is amazing! i bet you could use air dry clay or that fomy kids clay too. you cant reuse a spray foam bottle once its open so maybe making 2 or 3 small ones for a small sized bottle?
Those candleholders are G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S !! Such a simple idea but I would never have thought of using marbles in a DIY in that way. Don't know how you 'Drew' it but you surprise me every single time.😀

Every time I see the videos I think of you... I would love to see you try the baking soda mixed into paint method, and compare that to the terracotta spray you use. It could potentially be a great alternative for those who can’t locate the spray :D

I did the ‘chandelier’ and added a industrial looking light bulb underneath! Super quick and easy!
For the tassels, add Tacky Glue or Beacon Fabri Tac to keep the knots secured. Sometimes the weight will unknot yarn in creations like this chandelier. A dot of fabric glue helps strengthen the knots.

The bubble candle are soooooo mesmerizing 😍
So between the tassel project in this one, and a wall hanging that MaCenna did in another video. I had this brilliant idea to combine the two, and I'm creating a floating tassel headboard to go above my bed since I don't have anything occupying that space and my walls are white. I pulled the four main colors of my room (cream, navy, dark teal, goldenrod), found matching yarn in those colors, drilled holes in the dowels (I think it's 1/2 in dowel size, I will have to check). Looping the tassels on so that they overlap. And what's nice is that you can break them up with maybe wooden beads, or yarn with speckling in them, can do solid or make patterns like you did. Thread the dowels together and get it hung up and voila. So far I've only needed one skein of each color and still have some left over in case i need to make more. The tassels are big and are designed to overlap each other for a layered look and you can probably even tie in strips of dyed cloth to really liven it up. I'll see if I can get some decent pictures when I finish sanding and prepping the dowels and get them strung up. Thanks for the strike of inspiration!
I'm not going lie, when you first showed the TikTok of the cloud mirrors I was like 🤮. But then I saw how you did it and it looked a lot cleaner than the other ones, and then I saw the vision. Great job and looks amazing!!!!!!! I also think for the Canvas Project, another way to add color is to add Kool-Aide powder to the spackling which will basically dye the spackling to whatever color Kool-Aide color you want. Great video once again!!!!!!

Love LOVE LOOOOOVE these DIY’s! I wasn’t sold on that mirror at first but painting it totally turned it around for me! Would look stunning in a black satin spray paint as well!
You can also find canvases at Walmart, too, if you don't need super high quality ones. I got a pair for a different project but now I'm gonna need to get some for this spackle project. What a fun way to use spackle! I think I'll paint it to match my decor, too, and still get that tone-on-tone but textural effect.
Also, I love the yarns you used for the hanging tiers. Very pretty! I think it might be fun (if not a little crazy) to use a bunch of scrap yarn like that, too. I'm a knitter who always ends up with piles of yarn, so thanks for the inspiration. ^_^
