I have a very similar awning, and would always use a couple Of guys as the slightest breeze will flip the whole awning damaging one of the horizontal alloy poles.
Yes, absolutely right👍 (but - as a previous owner-operator of a jury-rigged piece of canvas - I REALLY enjoy 😅that it can stay taut and upright without guy ropes)
I wonder how it will stand up to a proper downpore, will it be able not to bend inward by an increasing bulge of water in the middle while your asleep? Those feable aluminium poles wont hold much weight I think, I had to laugh out loud at the slapstick bit in the middle, well done Marcel. Please give my love to Victoria and thanks for posting editing and all that jazz, love you both Chris.😏
the slapstick was purely intentional of course!😂🤣 Cheers for the comment👍 PS I normally angle one of the legs for water runoff (but this might not work it there are tent sides...🤔
Great video, A Simply Fab Life. Looking forward to your next upload! I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the awesome work. I'm curious, how does the material choice for the awning impact its durability and resistance to weather elements over time?
@@KeyserTheRedBeard Thanks for the comment👍🙏 - we try our best 😊. Yes, the material is crucial to everything of course (check our Oztent 🙄). So this obviously sounds like another awning video in a year or two

It's identical to the arb. I have one and it's been fine. I would never leave without guy lines. I made that mistake and the wind got it.
