I'm going to skip the song for the last boss because of the different versions. The songs in question aren't too hard to find, though. (With the notable exception of the song from the US credit sequence, The Road)
Note: The third spot in the name (in this case "Let's Tie Like a Line") is not the name of the Zone or the Boss. It's the name of the song.
My dad got me this game when I was little, and this is what ultimately got me into Gundam, then Macross, then pretty much all other anime I'm involved in today xD Then Gran turismo..My dad sold this game thinking I'd want to race cars??? What man's daughter wants to do that? I was completely content trying to stop the Alpha Core from causing historical alteration. :L I wish you got to use the megaparticle cannon like on the intro though. I kept thinking i'd unlock it each level or something. Lol

Tbh I've always wanted to try that. I never knew how until I realized, it was probably cut from the game since it looked like you were vulnerable when using it. The viper boost is a better alternative tbh, though I prefer if they had the cannon as another option.
@@SonicMusicVape They could always have made it so that you gained a shield when firing it, plus, the intro cinematic does depict the Omega Boost having a shield when being shot by the mega particle cannon of the battleship, so it's doable.

For the Japanese version, it's Shade by Feeder. For the US version it's Otsegolation by Static-X. I'm almost certain the European version has it's own song too, but I'm not sure what it is.

If you listen closely, nearly all songs have a voice on them. My bet is that they're all messages that the Alpha Core is trying to send, and, the closer you get, the messages get clearer and clearer, until you can easily identifies what it's saying because you're facing it

Back when it took time and people took pride in making something with NO PATCH crap download BS out of the flipping box!!! What am I paying 60 plus for again? This game was easily $60 and took probably 5 years plus to make. Tech might be great, but not that much to be oblivious to.. Peace out.

I'd love to see some stuff covering Omega Boost's story in greater detail, along with its mechanics, but it seems like they went for a more old-school route and just decided to have an easily identifiable pilot.

The main menu and final boss themes are different in each region. I don't have confirmation on the other regions' main menus but of course I do know that the US version used the final boss theme. As for the final boss themes, JP used "Shade" by Feeder. US used "Otsegolation" by Static-X. EU/AU used "Dreamer" by Cast.
I skipped uploading the final boss themes because they are licensed tracks all around.

I've had this soundtrack for a while (A once in a lifetime find, I might add), but it's been in bad shape for a long time. So, I just took them straight from the disc.

If they re-released this game and all the did was add extra modes and some form of 2player co op I would jizz the viper boost technology.

@keberTxelA11 In one of the side missions, you do fight an Alpha Boost. Along with Beta and one other (Gamma? I hope so :P )

Yeah, you definitely start in the future. As for the exact year, I'm not too sure, really. I think it was just short of 2100.
Gamma, it is impossible for me verbalize just how grateful I am that you uploaded this song alone, let alone the rest of this soundtrack. This was my absolute favorite track. I'm actually getting a tad teary. Thank you.

A sequel would be nice, but let's face it: Ployphony is very much like square now. Except unlike square, their Gran Turismo series doesn't have its head up its ass like Final Fantasy does. But both companies milk their series for what they are worth. Also, Omgea Boost didn't succeed as much as Polyphony Digital probably wanted to and the story ended with the first one. but I'd sure love to learn more about Alpha Core's back story. Is it just an evil supercomputer? or another human army?

My first game ever, still remember and love it fondly, shame I lost the disc though.
Got to thinking after you said that, maybe a revival would be good on the next gen of consoles. Imagine how good it would look!

It was an old school transistor tube. Apparently replacing that one tube in ENIAC was enough to prevent Alpha Core from ever existing.
that seems rather very poor when the destination is before the first computer, not like somewhere in the future and far far into the future after, unless the alpha core is after easy targets or has no plans of being alive
