  • some of the newer F250 350s 450s only use half of the kit so be aware of that basically you're just resealing the handle the corners of the door on the top and around the plastic strip on the window and then putting everything back together

    My 2020 F150 Supercrew has this issue. My dealer told me that this is likely a "one of" situation. Mean time, the mechanic that is talking to me, lets me know of past door issues. Then I found your video. I'm struggling to not drive this truck through the showroom.

    This is excellent information this is a well-done video that gives you all the pointers and explains all the problems, after driving a $60,000 vehicle that I need to open from the pasture side reach across with a client of a hammer to open my driver's door I'm about to drive this thing through a dealership, this should alleviate the problems I'll be tearing it apart this weekend, once again thank you for the excellent video, and description.

    I've got a 2017 and my doors are freezing for the third year in a row. Bought it used. I plan on putting silicone Caulker on the door handle from the outside to completely seal it. But the other issue is the way the door handles designed snow and ice build up on top of it because it sticks out so far and then water runs down in the door handle

    • @Ladysman_217
      @Ladysman_217 ปีที่แล้ว

      So update its end of Jan. It rained then snowed twice and now its single digits. Driver door froze bad. I sprayed the handle thru the hole that exposes the mounting bolt and it still crunches with ice. And it wont unlock. Push the unlock button and the rod goes up about half way and right back down. And the door wont latch. I installed block off plates with sound deadener where the clear dust shield goes to help with my speakers so i dont want to take it in to have the recall done. I screwed and siliconed them on because water was getting in the truck after the oem butyl let go on the oem clear plaster shield.

    My '18 F-150 supposedly has the "recall" work performed and my door latches continue to freeze. It's maddening. I use the key to unlock it if the remote doesn't pop the locks, then I cycle the lock and inside door handle until the lock work and the doors close. They say the recall work is done but I'm not a believer. They tell me the recall work can be repeated for the life of the truck, that it's not a one-time repair.
