normal hellion flamethrowers could perhaps melt the rocks but it would take forever, blue flame hellions means the fire is about 3000° celsius and that can absolutely melt rocks, most rocks and minerals melt at under 1200°.
Pretty brutal. I feel like in a pro tournament like this, it can be better to feel out your opponent for that extra time. It might give you info to see if you can get around it next time you face off in a series. Serral is the champion, but people do get wise to some of his ways, and you bet souL watched this replay later.

Once on one of his streams I typed in chat telling him to start a new game because he pressed return to game and started to destroy the enemies entire base for 5 minutes after he won, and he got so offended by it, he called me a salty nerd and chat restricted me for no reason and ranted about it for 20 minutes.

I've been waiting for a Zerg player to use nydus worms in this way on a large map, and of course it's Serral. Amazing game. Soul played brilliantly, and actually established a clear lead early on. Soul made ghosts to counter the ultras, and it worked pretty well. But somehow, Serral is still better, using his creep like a shield even when he's down 30 supply. It was incredible to watch, almost like the creep was growing on its own.
Nate sounded like me after my gallbladder was removed. They just brought the doctor into the studio, yanked out an organ or to in the dressing rooms, and just carted him to the caster desk.
Ive got a wierd strat/ question: Watching the games I feel like in a good choke the ultra/bane army can go down. Why not try to create an artificial choke i.e. 2 Planetary Forts funnel the ghosts and marines in between and have some tanks position on the high ground. Ultras can't get into it and banelings will have to be denoted inside the choke. Massive splash dmg from the planetary, tanks and throw some liberation zones should be enough.
This could be a great strategy with only one entrance to the other side of the map, but the maps are to widespread for a Terran to create a choke everywhere, he will have to split his forces alot. When you see Serral Nydus Worm everything, he would have bypassed the choke and the very slow army of liberators and tanks would have to relocate to defend, losing alot in the proces. In this high level it seems to me that would not be the best way to defend.
I mean the problem is that the opponent can just attack anywhere else. While you could build those artificial chokes everywhere, Nydus is still a problem as is a transition to brood lords (Serral in this case already had tons of corruptors.

Im calling it: After Serral has been around for a while we're gonna see Terrans forced to have spread Siegetanks or widowmines on their side of the map just to mitigate playstyles of Zergs like Serral
Yep those mines always get those money shot. Soul was trading efficiently but he lacks offensive plays that's why he lose game 2. I know serral makes him stay at base cuz of the counterattack but you shouldn't only defend against zerg. Once those creep tumor spread terran just cant make a good push.
@@ennans Honestly, you can't real dodge if it's played well. They're simply too fast. Even off creep, at least that's what I see lately in all pro games.
Serral seems to favor the mobility of the Ultras vs. Soul. Lots of nydus worms, lings/banes, and even hydras. Since they're practice partners I wonder if Soul (who is said to be one of the best late game terrans) does particularly well against Serral's broodlords.
