It's not just Serral. Terran is super weak vs Zerg in late game. That plus Serral plays the race like an absolute God... it's the rare Terran that can match him. I'd say Innovation or Maru are the only two that have much of a chance.
Terran has nothing to counter the fungal/neural combination. Ghosts and ravens don’t have anything close to what infesters can do. Terran armies are also slow and do better with defense. Zerg is quick and requires less micro. Newbie players frequently do well with Zerg because they are favored.
Serral's strength is always making the correct moves, which is why he has gone to always going with overloard speed upgrade, it reinforces his Super-Power!

Gotta love how Carriers have to build their Interceptors, which takes time and resources, yet the Broodlings cost nothing at all. Also that lil extra range Brood Lords have doesn't make sense (you can see them shooting out their Broodlings and turn back without taking a single hit from the Thors).
Thors outrange broodlord heromarine just doesnt micro his thors well enough doesnt even bother scan to battle thru fog and serral was microing thru the fog. And btw I like how carriers can shoot either air or ground from a far and those interceptors doesnt have a time limit like broodlings. Protoss imba.

I feel like it's a balance issue at this point. With perfect micro, Zerg are simply better in the late game. Point for point, mineral for mineral, they just outperform Terrans. Its not a problem for 99.9% of players though, because they are most always limited by the player's micro skill. But in the hands of someone like Serral, the advantage is obvious.

That's not a bad idea tbh. If thor's can crush forcefields they should be able to walk over broodlings. They would probably have to lose something though because they would be too strong. Probably a little bit of air range, idk

GAME 2, seems like HM needed a few vikings to be able to charge in & kill some hurt Broods??? Just so hard to get THORS into range without infestors neuraling... and didn't have many corruptors.

Nah, these are noise canceling headphones. Beneath them there are normal headphones for ingame sound If you will see matches where there are in cabins they normally have none of these

Mules, Zergs have a higher worker output (1/base x 3 without injects), but every orbital provides a constant mule wich is worth 5-6 workers So for every Orbitale command, Terran essentially has an extra 6 workers

I am 3 years late, but yeah i agree, serral's control was godly and im commenting cuz everyone is crying about zerg op in late game or whatever but it's only op if you can manage all of those spell casters and get good positioning on flanks etc as well as for example serral did.
broodlings have super high damage output the scv's would get destroyed...think about it one set of broodlings can kill a thor in less then 2 secondes imagine how fast those scv's would die.
High Impact is much much better at dealing with BL no matter they are clumping or not. Why you want to use splash aoe versus BL despite it dealing little damage to them? Aoe splash only works well against light air unit that clump up, has longer delay than High Impact and less range (10 to 11). Nobody uses aoe splash versus BL because it is much worse. SCVs repairing Thors and block Broodlings? See how Broodlings work. BL fires broodling directly into Thors which will immediately surround the unit if there are too many of them. SCVs will be pushed away from repairing Thors and likely to be killed by Broodlings if they change the target. Try it on the test map and see how both mechanics work.
The announcer was talking about how the AoE damage is shorter range, making it harder hit the BLs when they are on the hit-and-run like that (and less Thors will be able to hit, only the ones on the frontlines). Also while it is AoE it's much less damage, due to only dealing bonus damage vs light (damage is half vs non-light).

Hmm, need Ghosts to EMP the Infestors; Medivacs to micro the Thors and heal the Hellbats and Ghosts; BCs can Yamato and otherwise burn down Broodlings, then jump back home to take care of run-bys and Nydus Worms. HeRoMaRinE's almost got the formula down to beat Broodlord/Infestor.
I don't know if this is a dumb question, but in game 2 against all those broods why did HeroMarine not go for Vikings? Is there something I'm not getting?

I mean, if Hero went for vikings, Serral could have just kept some corruptors to nullify those units. Also, you really don't want to risk getting a bunch of vikings caught up in like four or five fungals since they would kinda just die. Hero would have to micro the vikings instead of the tanks, in which case he would lose the thors anyway to friendly fire. He was kinda not gonna win that fight no matter what he did, seeing as he's a human and not a cyborg or computer lmao (assuming serral isn't going to make any stupid mistakes in his own micro, which he won't)

no serral had won that and HM realised it himself the thing is while HM was trading more cost-efficient he had far less income for almost the entire game look at the end Hm is down in supply both in army and workers and loses one of his only bases which could still mine there was no way he was gonna win that game from there out
I disagree with Nathanias. Thors do not counter brood lords well. They are just as slow but do not produce a small unit that can run over to the target. This means the EFFECTIVE range of the brood lord is greater, and they are easier to support. It is impossible to keep your hellbats in front of your thors because they are just going to get killed by broodlings. Thors can't go over physical obstacles and have to deal with ledges and ramps. Ghosts and battle cruisers are better in my opinion. I understand neural parasite is an issue, but at least you force the Zerg player to have to dedicate a large portion of their supply corruptors instead of all brood lords. Too many brood lords and they can one shot anything on the ground, making it impossible to approach them. The ghosts are good as well because there is the possibility of EMPing the infestors and winning the fight that way.

Put them in the same bracket and you won't get ZvZ at the final. Zerg late-game is stronger than other races of course, because that is a compensate to weaker early and mid games which other races have more advantage. Zerg late-game, believe it or not, isn't that very strong to the point that they beat everything once you reach that. There are couples of matches when Zerg reach Infestor and BL tech and they still lose. Plus, ignoring player performance and blaming on race solely is simply a disrespectful because they don't want to admit that players are also a key to their success. Blaming race is much easier than compliment players performance.

Why do they use high impact when BL clump up? Why don't terrans pull scvs to repair the thors and block broodlings?
Out of your mind? Broodlings will decimate any repairing SCV in a second. Just try your ideas on unit test before throwing out these wise ideas
