Before placing the injector, blow with compressed air, you'll be surprised what gets blown back out of the hole. Also, turn the engine over a few cranks to expel any debris, only then should the injector be seated. Make sure the new injector has a rubber boot on the fuel inlet, one grain of sand in there and the injector is history.

Indeed Mik, you can blow directly into the injector hole BUT be sure the injector hole is already cleaned otherwise you'll definitely be pushing dirt in the combustion chamber. That why we have this plug in our kit.

I don't like the idea of debris entering through the injector nozzle port after you showed the removal of the seal plug at 2:15.

The plug is used during the cleaning of the injector hole . Brake cleaner is generally added during the job.
After that, cleaner and dirt are sucked up with a vacuum brake bleeder. Only then is the plug removed to make the final polish of the seat. So no need to worry about that ;-)
