This doesn't answer the question. How do we control the TV without remote? Our remote is in a moving truck. How do I control the rest of the TV without remote from my TV? I don't need to change the volume I need to connect online

The power button let's you choose, menu etc. Not just volume. Unless your TV is not smart.😅

I just experienced this same issue and after much frustration I found a solution! You can program a cable remote to the TV, then use the “video source” button to access the LG Home Screen, then you can use a computer mouse to control everything in the Home Screen. Hope this helps!

I mean, I want to keep the TV on (or off), even if someone (let´s say a child) press the remote control button, so only myself can switch it back using the physicall bottom. Is there any way? Well i had already done that, got to settings & now the little button doesn't want to work, so I'm stuck in settings. I can't back out, i can't make choices, i can't just get back to the normal tv. I want confectionery to wifi, i was wired in, so universal remote apps can't seem to see it. Fun lg
