I bought mine, mostly for Winters, first ride today (50°] with top back! Absolutely love it. My Yorkie is a convertible girl, will love this! Little different than my Buick, but a great trade for our Winters! Had it a week, drove into a white out condition... Work perfectly with no worries!

I just found out through a friend that wranglers can come in as 4 cylinder models, im already planning on grinding all of next year to save on a down payment and hopefully trade in my ford fusion as well for EXACTLY this one in the video, really great job at convincing me to get one even more with this video my guy 🤙

I'm the proud owner of a sarge green willys. It's going to be my work truck. My wife drove it off the lot a couple of hours ago. I'm looking forward to some serious offroad adventures.
It was a tough choice. I almost went with another Tacoma TRD off-road. My last one ran well for years, but I almost lost it on the side of a mountain. The shifting seemed suspect, and the outstanding reviews for the Willys model clinched my decision
Congrats on the new purchase! The Jeep Wrangler is a cool vehicle! I had one along side my TRD Offroad for a little bit and it was fun, but I love my Tacoma too much and sold the Jeep! It's nice though taking the doors/roof off when the temp is right! But enjoy and have fun with the build!

It's half doors, and Full doors, with soft uppers, in one package, keyed alike, painted to match , with Power locks, mirrors!!! Awesome!! Half Doors last available in 2018, with JK, series Wrangler, and no power locks.

I bought the exact one in 2 door for my wife. Honestly, I like Wranglers but didn’t think I would enjoy driving it as much as I do. Fun vehicle for sure with its own character.

@@reyperez3424 Honestly it happens so rarely I wouldn't even worry about it. I have been in a jeep where it's happened, but haven't experienced that in mine! I'm sure it will happen at some point, but it's not every drive in it.

I just bought the freedom edition a week ago! I love it!! But when you take the doors off, don’t forget the hinge bolt. It held me up for 10 mins when trying to remove the door.
Oh wow! Yeah you'll get used to it! I got that process down to about 8 minutes for all the doors when I owned a Wrangler! I left the outer hinge bolts out which made it so much easier!
Yeah once I figured the hinge bolt has to come out it’s super easy.

Yeah that rook is louder like the soft tops are. Being it has the soft top piece in the middle. But overall it's not bad. Still very livable like the hard tops are

Good choice! I would opt for this roof option if you can! I had the 3 piece hard top and it was cool, but I never took the rest of the roof off because of how bulky it was! This is the best option to go with!!

I have an 18 JL sport s as well. I don't see the need to upgrade, the only reason I would upgrade is for the sky roof, but that's a lot of money just for that! It's basically the same vehicle!

Hollow plastic bumpers and fender flares, nothing has changed to make these tougher for off-road use. Pavement certified!
The rubicon's have steel bumpers, but most people take them off and put new bumpers on. From a manufacture stand point, makes sense to pump out plastic bumpers, so it is nice they upgrade the rubicons!

I'm not too sure to be honest! But they all sound pretty much the same to me. The Jeep isn't the quietest vehicle out there. So the speakers can only do so much! It might have more bass tho

Not sure if you’re still curious about this but having owned a JL with both the stock stereo and the upgraded alpine, the alpine is a substantial upgrade over the stock. The stock lacks any punch and with the roof off, distorts and pops at the volumes needed to hear it

what was the total in just options? The lights, the 8.4" screen, the Alpine upgrade, the top, the rock rails, the mats, etc, etc. just off the top of my head, you are near $6k or more in options. What did you think of the 2.0L Turbo compared to the 3.6 V6 w/E-torque ($3k engine/trans combo) over the $0 2.0L engine? I would need to disable the start/stop everytime I got in the Jeep (unless you are stationary for extended periods of time)...
I don't remember the total for options just the total amount as it sits...but that's a good guess the $6k...I think it's a fine option, more torque than the V6 and gets better mpg. I have friends with the turbo and 35's and doesn't feel sluggish at all so if you lift it, it would be fine. That's easy to disable underneath the hood!

All the Willy edition Jeep Wranglers should come like this! It's apart of the package! There might be some options that differ, but they should all be very identical.
The ESS is a killer for me.
You can turn it off which is nice and even just bypass it by unplugging it. Easy solution to fix that!

@@Furrazii When did I say the wrangler was $70K?? Also I bought my $70k GTR making less than $40k a year. It’s all about how you prioritize and save. I wouldn’t consider myself rich, just work hard to obtain my goals. Wranglers are one of the most popular SUVs, I see them everywhere!

You can get the sky roof on any trim and definitely on the rubicon wrangler! It's an expensive option, but I would definitely get it!
Do the rear seats recline back at all? That was a sore point on my old 12’.

I’m thinking about buying one but everybody tells me rust builds up really fast on these cars. How do you keep that from happening? Are electronic rust inhibitors a good idea? I live in NY so salt on the streets during winter have me thinking.
They would only rust fast depending on where you live, (on any vehicle) but being in NY would speed that up if you don't take care of the vehicle. I've heard of undercoatings that can certainly help and either prevent it or prolong it. I would look into that before buying, but that would be the only thing I can think of!

I don't have that sticker for it! The my sky roof is now bundled with a few other items now I believe, like the upgraded radio and one more thing. You can call this dealer for more info and talk to Matt M.!

I havent really heard of anything bad about any of those engines. I prefer the diesel to be honest. Love the torque!

I believe that's how it is! The turbo is pretty peppy and not bad!
Willys Wrangler Unlimited or Willys Gladiator? After testing both, what do you and your brother think? One emerge as a favorite?
I think it really comes down to if you need a truck or an SUV. It's hard for me to pick a winner since I own a Tacoma. So I like the truck aspects for sure. If I had to sell the Tacoma I'd go for a Gladiator. But if off roading was more what I did, the smaller Wrangler would be better

I think it's a great engine if you want some more mpg, and the V6 doesn't tow anymore than this, but I have the V6 in mine lol
test drove both, get the v6. the 2.0 hybrid is a failure waiting to happen. v6 performs just as well with maybe a couple of mpg less fuel efficiency.

ide like to know how the willys ride compares to the altitude sport, if its noisy with the more aggressive tires and the difference in suspension if any? Im trying to decide which one i would buy. If you could do a video with that content would be great ..LOL thanks
It should be pretty much the same. The more aggressive tires are a bit more loud than the standard road tires. But in general the Wrangler isn't the quietest vehicle in the world. So I wouldn't worry about it

I have a 2020 Rubicon and a 2020 Willys. The Willys is louder on the street due to the MT tires. Both are hard tops but the Rubi is 2 door with the hard top insulator. The Willys is Unlimited without the hard top insulator so there are those differences as well that could be a factor. The ride of the Willys vs another sport is different. The Willys has the same red Rubicon shocks and springs making it stiffer on road.

I was seriously thinking about buying a new Wrangler, until I saw that all 3 engine choices have the Stop/Start engine feature.
You can turn that off or even unplug it I think. I have a wrangler and just hit the button to shut it off, not really a big deal I think.
You can buy a Start/Stop Eliminator from a company out of WV. It costs about $100; doesn't throw any codes; takes about 20 minutes to install; and doesn't mess with your warranty. I just installed one in my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Willys. It was the best money I've ever spent--I hate the auto stop/start feature on today's vehicles.

This Willy's has the sky roof! It should be an option on any trim level if you are buying new! Maybe not on a base, but pretty much every trim should be able to have it!
Im new to jeeps, doing alot of research but im curious about the roof. Idk how its made but im thinking of over time use and when it rains.
Jeeps have been known to have some water issues, I owned one and never experienced that, but I would think it could be just fine!

No this isn't mine, just doing a review on it. I sold my Jeep awhile back, it was a 2018 with the hard top.

You mean it's towing? That's around 3500 pounds, they aren't really designed for much towing!

I actually noticed that. Which is kinda funny. So I think Jeep does that to save some money on wiring. They don't have to make 4 separate window switch bezels and don't have to run wires to the door. So I think it's a cost cutting reason ;)
...but who runs a Wrangler with the doors off ALL the time (not everyone lives in southern CA). Full doors are great when it is raining or it's cold/snowing outside. The handy center window switches still allow you to order your coffee at the drive thru with the doors on.
@@K03sport nobody runs them with the doors off all the time. But on occasion when you don’t have doors you don’t need switches for the windows. So my point was that they could have put the switches for the windows on the doors and it wouldn’t make a difference because you can’t use the window switch without a door anyway.

This is my dream car!, I’m 16 going on 17, I have driving experience (both sedans, suvs/trucks) but I just have my permit, I’m getting my license this December and I’ll get my car for my 18th birthday! I may get it for Christmas my parents still don’t know yet ☺️

Hey dude my brother is thinking on buying a 2021 one, what do you think about reliability on these ones ? is it good enough to buy one and keep it forevah ? ( an uncle has had one for around 20 years now, a 1990 bought it almost brand new ) Still running , still laughing at all those new cars on the side of the road hahah
Well I bought a 2018 last year and it was fine, I had the batteries replaced under warranty at 28k miles because the engine start/stop failed. So they can be reliable, that wasn't a crazy issue for mine, but just know that something could happen. The screen can randomly shut off or something small like that. They are fun though!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks Man ! , and i knew Chrysler was messing up by adding more and more unnecesary technology to the jeep, its going to happen the same thing that happens with European cars, here in Mexico Nobody wants to mess with Europeans because only like ... 1% of car electricians ( ? ) know what they are doing with those and they charge A LOT $$$ and its always the same issues : electrical, electrical , electrical, computer, electrical, i guess chrysler is making jeep take the same path

I've never heard of the Islander edition! But you can get body colored roofs on any model!
