I really like the quality and info of your yo yo video. I teach computer design and wood work to 11, 12 and 13 year olds in Vancouver Canada am always interested in new ideas. (particularly lathe and scroll saw) Great job and I look forward to seeing more. Thanks

well see you help me vary well but i was woundering if it was possable to out a dol rod though the sk8 bearing and if that would work and do you know if i should, glue the bearing to the wood or try w\ a dol rod ? or im totaly not sure im just kinda consued and lost, do you think that you can make some more yo-yo videos for me so that i can see it?
that you would be able to upload another video about making a yoyo again but instead of just adding a dol rod do you think that u can put a dol rod inside a sk8board bearing and would that be able to work? please reply i have to get this project done really soon with in the next 8 days please and thinkyou if you have any valid tips that would help me but again this video has helped me soo much it has again saved me 3 days of Computer work instead of just working with the wood thank you again :)
Well is it old-school insofaras having no bearings. If you use a plastic shaft like i use in the video it will sleep as well as a tradition duncan imperial.
@yoyogoust, If you check out my website I do sell my yo-yo as well as all my woodcraft. Not sure if the shipping cost to England would be worth it though. Thank for watching and commenting.
You can buy yo-yo kits that have bearings. For me it is an exercise in traditional woodcraft so modern yo-yo technology is not for me. But thanks for watching!
The wider the barring is the harder to come up. The thinner it is the harrder to through and wont be able to sleep. For a good size put 10 playing cards in the middle of the yo-yo and glue it in like that.
oh my god thank you vary much you just saved me almost 3 days of work i am at a votecinical collage and i am 18 years old and i have had this idea of making a few yoyo;s for xmis since it is getting near and near i really aprishyate that you were able to help me so much, but i have a question is it possable where you put the dol rod to put a Sk8Borard Bearing on top of the dol rod so that i can make it spin longer and much more faster because that would just be so much more fun do you think,
I am sorry but I have no advise to give on modifying my design to use parts from a skateboard. Craftsuppy is a woodturners website and they sell kits for yo-yos. Made getting one of those will help you. Best of luck.
Man i wanna get high now *l* I miss shop class. If i had a lathe I would make a 70g wing yoyo with c size bearing, silicone slim pads and solid hubs. just dont know how true the pressed hubs would spin. Damn I just might need to buy a cheap lathe and sell my rc shit...
@JamesOne420 , Sorry I did not get your response until just now. I do not why youtube blocks me from giving you my email address directly but when I add it to this response it wont let me hit the POST button?!. Anyway, just go to my website, get my email address, and send me a direct email and we can work out all the details.
Love you dad this was so fun to make!
Glad you like the project. You can get a decent mini lathe cheap. I got my first Jet Lath for $100 on Craig's list.
Good luck.

I guess this would be more interesting if I actually owned these tools, but I like Devo.
you are an artist ^^ great work!
Great video..wish I could make one myself
I'm flattered you want more! Summer vacations have been keeping me out of my workshop. But I should have my next one up shortly.
thx it helped i maked my own it looks great!
o my god this yoyo is like impossible to sleep
You can't say butterfly, Duncan will sue you! Pretty cool video, you could honestly make some good money off of those, just throw in some bearings!
Actually I am an archery and you need a GRAIN scale for arrow making. Not to be confused with a GRAM scale which has other uses.
you would buy all that when its so easy to just buy a yoyo
Thanks, I just might try that next time.
hey i have another question for you, how big was the inch wise in the wood deep total or somthing im not totaly sure why?
Thanks for the offer but they sell quite well at $25.00 each for the two-wood style and $15 for the one-wood.

It was made for 13/16 board it would be 26/16th (1 5/8). Plus

There is a Gershwin Wood Craft channel assigned to my video. Not sure why you don;t see it.

I didn't find that on a vid but by reading on it.
I went to your website, but I am unsure how to buy one of your yoyos?
How much would international shipping cost?
if u dont have time to build a yo yo this advanced... u can check out my ghetto version.. it still works pretty good
Show...gostaria de ver como foi feito a mista das madeiras ...e que tipo de madeira foi usada.
Wish I was a stay-at-home dad. My real job interferes with my hobbies!
If make correctly it will sleep. But remember this is a classic yo-yo, not to be compared with the barring yo-yo they make today.
kwwwwwwl luved it D::D
i wonder if you could make a groove for some silicone... :D
Yes it can sleep. People were using yo-yos for generation before baring technology was added.
Can You show me A tutorial for how to make a crossbow ?
Thumbs up if your a real yoyoer
