For sure, having children makes life a lot more daunting when your resources are limited. Don’t have the weight of a low to “no aspirations” man beside you. It’s a wrap. This is one reason I’m anti-casual sex. I remember when it became a thing (in the 70’s), and the repercussions of it have hurt a LOT of people. So many children coming to parents who are unprepared, who got duped by fathers who never had any intentions of loving or caring for them. IJS.
The children suffer, and become suffering adults. But who’s thinking about that when they’re just hanging out, then catch feelings and want to be with a man? People don’t really think about the trauma this causes that leads to mental health issues, that then morph into generational curses. Did you hear her say that she’s bitter? The fact that he kept saying I got my divorce papers would have sent me on my way. He really held them over her head as if he done no wrongs.
