  • Alpine lakes, soaring Rocky Mountain peaks, and a plane wreckage all feature in this beautiful summer outing. I ascended Navajo via the fun and scrambly Niwot Ridge, and descended the Airplane Gully to visit the 1947 plane crash that lies there. #colorado #rockymountains

I can also see those peaks from where I live, I’ll have to head up there sometime. Thanks for the great video, subscribed.

Dude, this was great. I need to do this sometime.
Also, I backpacked into Diamond Lake and summited S. Arapahoe last week. It was so much fun.

Awesome! That's one of my favorite views (that I've seen anyway) in the whole state

How long would you say it took to complete the ridge? Also wondering how you felt about some of the down climbing along it. I’m comfortable on exposed class 3 and love scrambling but I hate downclimbing haha. Thinking about doing this route on monday!

I might have missed your timing already, but I don't think the ridge took super long. The portion that requires scrambling is only about half a mile long; I don't think I spent much more than an hour on it, taking my time. The rest is tundra walking/boulder hopping. Downclimbing is definitely necessary but you normally have a couple different line options that allow you to make the difficulty easier/harder.
